I'm confused. Are you being sarcastic or are those levels actually very difficult, but I didn't notice it...? (those levels are now called 3-1, 3-2 and 3-3)
I wasn't referring to those levels alone, and I wasn't being sarcastic.

You seem to be very brilliant, if judging how you solve those puzzles. :)

The bug was when it said "Record not saved! The movie is longer than time time you specified."

I see you found a bug, Samurai G. I entered your record, nevermind the error message.

Also, you could add the lowest moves & pushed, because the fastest way not always is the one with less moves...
I thought about that, but I can't see how to represent it in the user interface.

Nice additions you got there Bisqwit, hope I can make a record... BTW, could you add a top 5 of top 10 of every level? The 1st 2 levels I got like +0.2 secs from the WR...
Good idea, will put on the task list.

I transfer my vote of "yes" from the previous submission to this one, for obvious reasons.

Are you talking about this page? http://tasvideos.org/MovieSearch.html It was once on the Movies.html page, but I removed it because people linked to that page and I wanted them to link to the front page...

How about someone coding a program that can open emulator movie files (fcm, smv) and modify the input for each frame?
Genisto has supposedly written one such tool. Unfortunately I don't see a link to it at his homepage.

AngerFist, please use the Preview instead of posting and deleting. Every time you (or anyone) post (or edit a posted message), several people are alarmed of it (IRC people and those who "watch" the topic), and if the post is deleted by the time we try to see it, it's annoying.

http://bisqwit.iki.fi/jutut/nesv-old/ This is what the site looked like 13 months ago! (Nope, it hasn't been always in that address. I just resurrected it from backups. Some features might be missing.) I'm afraid I don't have any older backups, containing nesvideos.html.

That is correct, but the places were I was able to use the autofire button served me very well.
The problem with autofire is that, when you want this: 200 shoot 201 idle 202 shoot 203 idle 204 shoot 205 idle you might get this: 200 idle 201 shoot 202 idle 203 shoot 204 idle 205 shoot i.e., not shooting at the first possible frame. Also, if the game lags 1 frame at #206, you might want this: 200 shoot 201 idle 202 shoot 203 idle 204 shoot 205 idle 206 idle 207 shoot 208 idle 209 shoot Autofire can't detect when the game lags, and thus, will miss the frame of opportunity by 1 frame.

It seems you pressed Start many times at the very beginning. Are you sure that the frame it actually reacted to your Start was the first possible frame it would react? At frames 1740-1840, I was seeing some lag. Are you sure it's not eliminateable? When getting B, are you sure you couldn't slide over those 2-block wide pits? Overall, I'm not sure whether your slides were always separated by 1 frame. I was seeing 2 frame delays somewhere, but I can't be sure with the Windows version of FCEU. Ignore me if you are sure of this. I would check with Linux version but unfortunately I can't do that before I get back home (in two weeks).

Am I the only one who finds that text extremely difficult to read?

I should jump at the "first half of the edge" [..] on the hovering robots to activate them soon as possible and then stand on the "second half of the edge" so you can reach the second hover robot [as] fast as possible right? So sliding on them is not [necessary]?
Quite much so as you said.

Quick question: How many slides is the best to do when you are near to reach the Balloon? 4 or 5?
Whatever works fastest. Use the frame counter.

So you'll make a Shadowgate movie too? http://tasvideos.org/movies.cgi?catid=213&catval=1 Easy way to get your name on the list. Have a cookie. Not that I have anything to complain of the movies, but I just feel sad for Walker Boh.

The slide won't help - you won't gain any extra length for the jump from the slide. So it's best to stand on the extreme edge of the platform - it also makes it easiest to jump at the earliest possible instant & farthest.

Ah, I see. No, showing the frame count while watching movie is very difficult in Famtasia. Basically, you need to change the movie and stop playing it. - Pause, save, load, stop. - See file size, calculate frame count (filesize - 144). To continue watching the movie, you need to restore the movie from backup and replay it from beginning. If you don't need to measure by frame precision, you can just watch the AVI and use your movie player's timing.

could you please examine more about the trick in http://www.yuko2ch.net/rockman/ttwwiremm4.mpg because at this moment it seems useless. And the second trick might be either faster or slower.
Again, mr. AngerFist. Concept, not literal application! Indeed it might be bad in *that place*, but that's a very good proof of concept video, especially after I demonstrated with https://files.tasvideos.org/bisqwit/mm4trouble.fcm what happens without the wire.

Just noticed that this run has 65536 (= 2^16) rerecords. Is that a legit coincidence or was it edited?
Certainly there's some editing, because levels were copypasted together a couple of times. Copypasting tends to do bad to the rerecord counter. But I don't know if the final number is a coincidence.
