I don't know.. I figured Healblade was working on it so I stopped thinking about this game and totally forgot about it. If Healblade has given up, I might do something with this game eventually. It is actually a very fun game to do because each level is independant on the ones before and after and it's easy to get into the "okay, just one more level and then I'm taking a break" mentality.

As Tub said, I see Luigi, but no Mario. I see Metroids, but no Samus. I see Dr. Wily, but no Megaman/Rockman. Something is fishy...

Although I haven't watched the entire run from start to finish, I have watched bits and pieces now and then. Enough to vote yes, at least. Even if there are known improvements, it will be a while before someone is again crazy enough to do a new run. It might also be wise to wait until the emulator is steadier than a rock and the rerecording more bulletproof than ... something really sturdy and bulletproof ... before that is done.

Your idea of a cup-of-coffee universe intrigues me, Ramzi. I may have to steal it.

Forget about making the player have actual control of Mario - it would be impossible to do without it desyncing almost immediately. If this were done, the buttons LEFT and B would be inversed, ie in order to not press them in the game, you would press them on the dance-pad-thing. Othwewise you'd be holding them down all the time, making you unable to press any other buttons. Also, if this is done, the movie used for this should not be the best-time movie we have on this site. Instead, a new movie should be created where Mario 'dances' to the ingame music by jumping, ducking, braking (holding the opposite direction for a bit) and shooting fireballs (making sure enemies dye in sync with the music too). Something like this is very possible (but not exactly trivial) to implement on a game like Stepmania. It supports 6 buttons, though I think most people only play with 4. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that the final result would be kind of dull and stupid and ultimately unfulfilling. MAYBE if you used some nice remixes instead of the in-game music of the game. Maybe.

Well I think it's a little unfair that women and Jehova's witnesses get a special treatment. What happened to equal rights? Bah. What a stupid system.

That's not a glitch, it's just a small exploit in how the touchscreen works. It would be obsolete in a TAS since you would be able to move the "stylus" infinitely fast anyway.

Nah, this game is boring to run and boring to watch. Unless you like watching Wario go in a straight line and a constant speed through every level, that is. If someone else wants to continue my run where I left off, he/she is more than welcome to do so.

I'm pretty sure no one is working on this game. It's still one glitch short of TASable. Right now, a TAS will be super duper boring. Plus, there's already a speedrun on speeddemosarchive.com.

The only game magazines I ever read were 64 Magazine (Nintendo 64) Yeah, a nice magazine I guess. The only Nintendo 64 magazine I ever read. I was a subscriber for a while so I should have a bunch of those lying around somewhere. Hmm, maybe I should see if I can dig them up. PC Zone (PC) Good magazine when I read it but I don't know if it even exists anymore. They once did prank calls on the technical support in various companies, then printed (slightly edited) transcripts of them in the magazine. Funny stuff. PC Gamer (PC) I guess everyone knows this one. I subscribed for a year (I think).

Maybe they just didn't like the price and decided to gain something from the whole thing anyway.

I can't make the guy to do anything except fall over in a hilariously ridiculus fashion. :P Yeah, I suck.

I don't know ... for some reason I feel they should have included Quicktime (ugly and stupid, I use Quicktime alternative) and Windows Media Player (ugly and stupid, no one in their right mind uses it). I'm sooo glad RealSucky is in there. What a piece of crap file format and player.

A .fcm file that completes every game for the NES is very possible. In fact, if that is the only requirement, it would be very easy to make, though extremely laborious. Just start with one game and finish that, then the next game, etc. Almost all the time in each game would be spent doing random useless things, but each game would be completed at least once ... But no one is ever going to make such a movie, and that's good because it wouldn't be very interesting anyway.

Yeah, NSMB is not a hard game, though it is very good. I'm kind of blazing through it as well, but at this point it feels like I'll never ever get bored with it. The next game I will get will probably be either Metroid Prime: Hunters or Mario Kart DS. How is the single-player of MP:H anyway? Is it on par with the first Metroid Prime or can I skip it?

I got a DS lite, finally. And a copy of New Super Mario Bros. I was suprised to see how incredibly tiny the DS carts are. They are really small! The DS lite is small also, in fact it is almost TOO small. Oh well. Not disappointed yet.

The way I understand it, the difference is this (I am probably wrong, though): Desynchronous = supposed to be synchronous. Somehow it has desynced. Asynchronous = not supposed to be synchronous. Not synchronous.

Well, I would think to get the theoretical maximum, all you have to do is multiply the number of rows and the number of comumns, then subtract the number of rows. For example: (( 10 * 20 ) - 20 ) = 180 Of course, if you can't reach the upper corners properly it gets more complicated...

You should put "Iggy's reckin balls" (N64) on that list. That game is incredibly bizzare. You control a ball, and you race other balls in a twisted 3D/2D track. Oh, and you shoot a grappling hook thing out of your face to reach places and swing all over the place. It's also pretty hard. The most advanced levels are so incredibly difficult, it's actually a little ridiculus.

Definitely take damage if it saves time. But ... am I the only one who thinks the NES version should be done instead of the Genesis version? Although the graphics aren't as good, the music in the NES version is superb, much better than in the Genesis version. Oh well. I will make this my only post about this subject, I don't think I really have a right to argue this since I'm not involved in making the movie. I wanted to throw my opinion out there anyway.

I don't know. The Megaman 1 movie consists mostly of zipping and glitching all over the place, and that movie is very interesting...

I think looking down is just fine. It might be because I've played the game to death and know all the levels by heart ... But if it's possible to get the same in-game time while not looking down ALL the time, that should be done. Basically, get the best time possible while looking as good as possible. Right?
