Can you patch my toaster to support rerecording? :D I mean it's like you can put rerecording into anything. Good job.

This game would be so much better if it didn't have mutated fish randomly teleporting right into my face! Gaah! Edit: actually, forget about the fish, the octopuses are way more annoying.

I've always wanted a free clone of Elasto Mania :-) Actually forget about the clone part, I want a very different game but with similar physics. Elasto Mania is a crazy motorbike "simulation" game in 2D, with very low gravity. Click here for more information and screenshots. It's a totally amazing game by the way.

Also instead of competing on whole games, how about competing on single levels at a time? For example for one week, everyone tries to do the first level of Castlevania 4 as fast as possible. Then we'd select the fastest one and continue from there to the next level. I think more people would be inclined to participate if they didn't have to spend 9 hours to do a whole game if they could just spend half an hour to do one level. Of course, this is just another one of my crazy ideas so it could be totally unfeasible.

Wow, people still use midi files! Sheeis, I can't even play those files without mucking around a bit first... hang on. Edit: no, I only recognize the second one (Duck Tales) although the first one sounded somewhat familiar.

Weee, I can't wait to see this one. I played the hell out of this game back in those days. It's in my opinion the best Castlevania game ever (though that might be because it's the only one I've finished)...

I want to see Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt. It should be very interesting because normally the game is very, very hard AND the character runs VERY fast. Normally you would almost never run, unline the Mario games, etc. I predict it could be done in about 15-20 minutes but I'm probably way off.

Damn, I would have wanted to see Pocky and Rocky time-attacked :(

Pretty nice, though it could be significantly better. In the next version you should make sure that every shot hits something. I saw about 2-3 clear misses. Also, it looks like you wasted lots of time on the giant alien thing in level 8. Of course there are small flaws in other places but I'm too lazy to analyze it completely or point them all out. Good luck with the next version :)

Mplayer is available on Windows now. You can grab a convenient Mplayer + frontend package here: http://deje.uw.hu/ It should be able to play anything, though I haven't tested it on that particular file.

Oh wait, slowing down does work. I was using the + and - keys on the numpad, but it's really the ones near the backspace key (actually there's no + there on my keyboard but meh). Good job even though I would like to be able to configure those keys...

Wow, I stop visiting these forums for one week and some crazy person codes rerecording into FCEU! Sheeis. Great job! Although the + and - keys don't seem to do anything in that binary. The single-frame advancement works awesomely. I can't wait until we can just kiss Famtasia and its colossal amount of problems good-bye and move on to FCEU... I mean that's the idea, right?

That zip file only contains the file "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (U) [!].fmv" and is a famtasia movie of a very small portion of TMNT.

Sheeis, now I have to watch it again. I've watched the 1:00 run, the 0:58 run and now I have to watch this. Silly record breakers...

I would watch it of someone made one - I played the game myself back in those days. Never managed to finish it though, I sucked so bad. When I played it again on an emulator I couldn't get past some boss wearing an armor. I'm guessing you needed to get some dynamite or something.

Gah, why does it have to be like this. I really would like to see a good TMNT timeattack. :( Does it work in VirtuaNES for anyone? If so, has someone already made a good VirtuaNES timeattack for this game?

Also, if the person playing isn't the one hosting, wouldn't there be a small keyboard-to-game lag? So it wouldn't be showing his real skills in the game anyway.

I've been dreaming about this feature as well. This would be very cool and useful, etc.

Okay, the third version is finally finished. It's not quite as good as I had hoped, finishes at 27:03. I made some mistakes climbing in this one, and one or two places are slower than in the previous version. Damn. Oh well, I'll redo it in a year or so. Right now I'm completely sick of this game. Until then, you'll have to make do with this flawed but somewhat nice version. http://www.mmedia.is/shodan/files/blublu3-ufouria.fmv

are you sure you're going to manage the jumps on the enemies over the lava pits (before the armored cat) without him?
I couldn't make the second jump even with him, I had to get hurt and then walk on the bottom of the lava while flashing (as you saw). Worst case scenario, I have to get another medicine (there's another one in the path) and use it to pass both lava pits.

I believe it's possible to kill the enemies in a way that does not slow you down.
Jumping on enemies doesn't slow you down, but I thought it looked "cooler" to not kill any enemies unless they were in the way.

This game is pal only, does it run at correct speed in famtasia?? if not you could try the japanese version called "Hebereke"
It runs too fast, but I don't mind, and I hope others don't mind either. If anything, it makes the run less boring to watch since it's faster. I guess I *could* find the japanese rom...

I'm working on this game now. My second run was 30:07, but now I hope it can be brought down to maybe 25 or something like that. I thought it was pretty nice, but it isn't. It is obsolete because I found that it is possible to skip the ghost, thus saving almost 4 minutes! Also, I found a more efficient way to hop on corners (if you jump at a corner at the exact right angle, you can jump immediately in the other direction, saving some time when jumping to a higher platform). Sheeis. So now I have to start again. If someone knows of some glitches, shortcuts, time-saving strategies or something else I could use, please post here. In case anyone is interested, here is the .fmv of my second run. It shows the route I'm using (please ignore the part where I get the ghost). http://www.mmedia.is/shodan/files/blublu2-ufouria.fmv
