I found a movie for its sequel, but not one for this game, nor any thread regarding it. I'm not ready to pick up another TAS yet, but this was a classic for me, and I definitely am considering doing it in the future. Has anyone tried this before?

Voting yes as I loved his Brain Age runs, and this one built upon them magnificently. Also, I think the last image has to be the screenshot used for publication. EDIT: Actually, that might be a bit of a spoiler.

Disagree completely. It was groundbreaking and inspired several other runs.

The biggest round of applause I've ever given if FerretFaucet can get the HD online. I've tried to upload janus' BoF run at least 10 times and failed each time. While I'm here, much props, janus. I'm struggling to TAS a level less than 2 minutes long, and you made a 7 hour+ run...amazing.

I did the ones that I said I would do. If we have decided to upload the remainder from archive.org, then please do so. That said, I believe they are candidates for replacement, though of course they are low priority.

Going to publish soon. Seriously I mean it. Edit: Wait a second, you linked the archive, not the torrent. Why?

Is there anything else that could be interesting to save from there that we didn't make? I've only just heard about Google Video closing down and there isn't much time, so other video owners might miss this completely.
By all means, contact video owners if you know any in order to save the videos, but I don't think it's a good idea to download their movies and upload them elsewhere without their permission. The only reason we can do what we're doing right now for TAS is that we are re-encoding them all.

I can't believe Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures has a speed run. I tried it in search for a SNES Pac-Man game I remember from a while back, and I had trouble believing something like this even existed. I mean, for all I know, it might make for an entertaining TAS if something was exploited, but I doubt it.

Claimed for encoding! (SD)
You know how to do both 512kb and HD. Not sure why you wouldn't encode all of it; you're definitely capable.

Let's split up, gang. I'll take everything after 351M, whereas nitrogenesis will do everything above that. If anyone else wants to volunteer, we'll split it up again. P.S. I'm sure glad I made the NoYoutube page now. :\ Edit: Oh, I thought this would allow anyone to download the videos for reuploading. Now I see you have to own the video first. In that case, I'm just going to encode as usual. Edit 2: My queue has several items from this list ready to go. Still frustrated over the fact that Google could have made this transition process easier, but at least this is an incentive to get some high quality encodes for these movies on YouTube.

OK, that settles it; I'll wait on NitroGenesis's SD / 512kb files. Please don't forget to attach a torrent to the SD along with the length of the SD.

I'll take an SD / 512kb from anyone who uploads it. Someone just has to do it. If no one wants to, I will. Just let me know of your intentions, NitroGenesis and feos.

You mean making a keylogger?
I guess...it'd be easier to compare it to an emulator's movie recording utility. The difference would be that you'd record directly off of an NES and get a file that resembles a .fm2 file which can be played back on the NESBot or on an emulator (Though odds are, it'd desync on the emulator for the same reason that files generated on an emulator might desync on a console). Going further, I could even suggest implementing TASing tools for a given console to guarantee that it would run on a console, but that sounds highly unrealistic.

Another thought, although not very well thought out; now that we have a bot that can play a video we've recorded on a computer, is there any chance we can rig it to record input to the NES? Not particularly useful for TAS, but it'd be awesome to have a recording utility for the NES that plays back actual key presses. Might also make it easier to see why movies desync. Just like mmbossman, definitely PM me when you have a SNES version running.

Waiting on the archive link from ferretfaucet and some opinions on the presented screenshots. Did you optimize that shot, Sonikkustar?
