Another thing I was thinking about: can we do a speed run using the "JUSTIN BAILEY ------ ------" password?.
No. That would be stupid since Metroid is all about exploring.

Saturn is also the inventor of mental problems and he's got a bunch of 100% PERFECT ™ RPG TASes. He's so amazing.

Sorry, it's just that I don't want to reconstruct, revive, whatever you call it, 2 year old topics.
Why not? What does it matter? All the discussion is there and it's more confusing to read 2 separate threads if someone wants to study this game. Check this page here: http://tasvideos.org/ForumRules.html#ResurrectingThreads

If you think standing in a corner shooting a charged beam towards a boss for almost a full minute longer is more entertaining than showing off more crazy moves in additional rooms instead, while still ending up with a faster ingame completion timer at the end, then you probably don't understand what entertainment is.
That's a rather risky statement :-)

Also, there's no need for new threads for every improvement in process. Many threads on the same topic will just make this forum messy and inconsistent. Here's the old topic, use it: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3029

Since when does NES bubble bobble have the mechanics of the Arcade version?
My guess is that since it was ported. The NES version has all those attributes CAD described.

Also, maybe it is worth testing if mario's arm pumping saves time. Afterall, it worked in Super Metroid.
I'd say that's a risky statement. Don't even try it because you will fail when compared to someone else :-)

Edit: Like, what does the "one player" refer to in AKA & Mukki's joint run: http://tasvideos.org/1064M.html ?
It clearly says that single (one, not two or more) player controls two characters at one time. I doubt AKA and Mukki were sitting next to each other pressing down their own keys, because that's so difficult.

Your sarcasm leaves much to be desired. Now go be computer geeks somewhere else and sit at the screen day and night for the next submission.
Take that whale out of your private place and lighten up a little! Also, I don't think you have any rights to call others computer geeks.

I just tried something bc it was totally unclear what was going on, voila.
Wow, you tried something before Christ, damn you're old! Also, you talk French, damn you're cool! Anyways, I suggest reading through Super Metroid thread to clear things up. There might also be some other threads where Saturn's arrogance and unability to understand certain things are visible. Cheers and welcome to TASVideos!

Is it really necessary to discuss about the ROM change when it doesn't affect the run or the time in any way? I liked this run although I prefer the warpless run because this one is 80% autoscrolling.

Will a 100% hidden treasures run be accepted?
Probably not, because it's not that much different and it just makes the run longer. Also, you have to revisit some places and that's just bleh in a TAS.
Oh I think I failed to express myself clearly. I mean "will a good-ending run with all unique treasures (those will never respawn once you have collected them) collected be accepted?"
And I answered your question.

Although there's no proper Linux port, it seems to work just well under Wine. I only tested it quickly though, so there might be some problems that didn't occur during the test.

Crooked cartridge tricks aren't allowed, because CC is just a corrupted ROM.

You can assign savestates to your keyboard even though you're using a gamepad for other keys.

Why my emulator has so bad graphics ? When I use Improvement10, the graphics are really bad... But when I use Improvement7, the graphics are very nice... How can I fix this ? I'm using the same configuration for both emulators...
Could you explain more carefully, how are the graphics bad and so on? Posting screenshots would probably help.
