Umm yes, I mean without that too of course. Cheating in mini-games like this... that must be cheap, hehe.

The other 2 mini-games are much more fun for me ;). Just got 201 meters, a perfect score at megaton punch without re-recording. Still can't beat Samurai Kirby on expert without re-records, you have to beat this last guy with at least 7ms reflexes....I've got that once but not for him doh :/. It's a really great game, too bad it wasn't released in EU...that's why I never heard of it before.

I've mentioned something very stupid now which makes a Sim City run even more pointless for the viewers.... Every button press/hold down the button will pause the game timer :/. Maybe not to bad for building up your city so you don't have to care about the citizens until you build it up without button press delay.... but after that, scrolling through your city to show it the viewer would cause pausing the game timer =(... is this the end!?

I've tried an attempt today on the free land scenario and reached a megalopolis within 3 years (Think of this in reallife*lol*)! I've to say that there is absolutly no water on this map(pro) but you also don't get any special gifts(contra) to demand and increase the population faster. I've used the money-trick, so I don't care about the first year and also paused the game during build-time... . Here are some stats-pics that may interest some of you: http://www.superplayers.de/danielviebrock/simcity/population.jpg http://www.superplayers.de/danielviebrock/simcity/history.jpg http://www.superplayers.de/danielviebrock/simcity/total.jpg For everyone who hasn't mentioned our IRC-discussion about speed-running this game, here is a very nice pic of a megalopolis on map #061: http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Lair/3439/stuff/megacity.html ...And this 951,680 citizens guy in the gamefaq-forum seems to be a faker, he gives lots of nice infos and strategies and also provides pictures (which are in such a bad quality you can only guess...). But I checked his stats from his totals he posted, and they don't fit together. For example (check my screen and you'll see it can't be possible like this): Developed - 1,461 Undeveloped - 7 (why!?) Rails - 192.1km Park Area - 1,026 Last thing... I really don't know how you could make a run entertaining without slowing down or stop the game time. A good solution would be build up a megalopolis as fast as possible which will be reached in the current record time of exactly 3 years (I am just one roll over close to 2y11m !) and stop the movie so the viewer could control the camera or look into stats for himself whenever he wants! As long as he don't change anything on the map the megalopolis will be reached at the same time, everytime.[/url]

I think that's the problem. Nobody here has much knowledge about this game and their physics, I've also played this game a lot but can't say what would be a good start for example.

Seems like everyone is afraid of trying such a big thing, maybe we should start with something like build up a 50,000 city as fast as possible in the introduction map? There we could see what could be good strategies to begin to build up a 500,000 metropole....

I think the vote-option no should be banned for this movie :P. It's a very entertaining and perfect played DKC movie, enjoy it! Btw. it was aimed for the fastest possible in-game time. Even after reaching :39 .

Yeah, it's a bit confusing why it was written together (SoulBlazer) in the start up screen. But on the cartridge and manuel it's written with space between the two words and even on fan pages it's mentioned as Soul Blazer and also the rom-name itself. But... Who cares? Better doing a speed run of this game :).

Invoker, try to re-install your emulator and start it. It should work now, don't ask me why...but that was my solution to it :). Edit: Before you re-install, could you please look up the size of your current SNES9x emulator? Is it at 1.622.016 bytes instead of 1.703.936 bytes?

Burning: for most/all of the characters you have to hold down a button for at least a second or two to do their special move, which makes it a bit hard to do a vid for time! Ken/Ryu's attacks are instant (except I forgot how to do the yellow hadoken, I think you have to hold a button for that?).
I knew that, I mean something entertaining to watch.

Wasn't Lemmings 2 an NES game? Or am I just not remembering right? I can recall renting the game a time or two and just fiddling around with various Lemming types. Usually I'd make it with like...less than half my team intact. Suffice to say I wasn't good at it. I'd love watching a run of it, though. It, that infernal domino game, and Brain Lord are the top of my SNES Want List at the moment. Brain Lord'd take forever, though, I feel. Unless you really hauled butt through the levels... hell, I'm not quite sure how many dungeons there even are, as I only ever got past the first one a handful of times. X.x
You mean Push-Over? Or is there another domino puzzle-like game for SNES? I am just plannig 2 runs at Lemmings and Push-Over, don't know what I should concentrate first because they are both very hard to do perfect. Hey there are 125 and 100 levels to max out :/.

Btw. now it's worth over 200$ at ebay.com, no joke! Someone gimme a link to an auction like a year ago... maybe now it's worth over 300$ ;) . So if you've the real cartridge, you could be very proud of it or making easy money.

Oh, never seen this topic before because it's in the NES section. I am just trying a Lemmings run (and Push-Over) for SNES, really hard to do perfect. I think it wont be finished before the next month (if I could stick that long to this game) :/.

Come on Alex, you don't know the 10-star code for SFII Turbo ;P ? Yeah it's a little bit tricky do enter it correctly. I somehow like this SF SNES-game the most. Your video is indeed very funny to watch, mainly because it's so fast. Who wants to watch it now, prepare for the last 2 bonuses(especially the last bonus) and of course Vegas 2nd round (I laughed my ass off ;P).... And now someone should try other characters! After watching so many Ryu and Ken videos I think I now know what are their specials ;)...

I would also like to see a perfect run through the game. I always enjoy the way uuuuuuultraaaaa combo or ultimate combo is said ;) . I played Killer Instinct Gold for the N64 a lot, I also own KI for SNES but, sorry I am not that good with it so that I could try a run :/. Look at these very impressive combo videos like an 80-hit combo by Jago or Orchid :o : http://www.killerinstinctonline.cjb.net (Click on: Killer Instinct/Combo Videos).

I hope so :) ! The Super Machoman improvement surprises me, but don't tell the exact time yet ;) . Narcis Prince should be the next victim of improvments I think (and maybe the Bruiser brothers, would be cool). On a real attempt you need pure luck to get the best patterns of him every new round (like Dragon Chan too for example), that's why they are too hard to max out in real.

Anyboy know a place where I can find good videos for this game? Especially for Super Machoman , Narcis Prince, Rick Bruiser and Nick Bruiser. Near the WR times not miserables movies.
I could upload these older movies (recorded with HyperCam): Super Machoman in 10"94 (+1"36) Narcis Prince in 10"11 (+1"53) Rick Bruiser in 11"33 (+0"24) Nick Bruiser in 09"15 (+0"44)
