It's amazing to beat SFII the way you did. Getting perfect rounds only, and I think that was your main goal! ....But there are allready more than only one run out there without any re-record (and/or maybe slow motion). Copy the moves and savestate or doing all in one crazy attempt, it's obvious what run owns more. The people who haven't seen other SFII videos yet will be still very impressed how you could beat the game that way. The writers here in this topic know the game, how to fight against cpu's. So they only told you how your run could be improved in several ways. Because we're thinking ahead we forget to mention the cool parts about your run. So, take it easy we still like it :) .

I've read somewhere that the final winning score for this competition was at 38xx points. I've tried it with a rom a year ago or so and stopped after I've reached 4000. Maybe I'll try it again and join the competition here..

In the previous post I talked about Gabby Jay, yes. Because I posted before that the 'official' record for Piston is at 5"50...sry for the misunderstanding. For the strategies simply look at www.gamefaqs.com and search for 'super punch out' and scroll through the faqs or better through the forum :) .

There is also a superplay movie with perfect rounds for Ken to download, don't know the site anymore but it looks like the Ryu (Roy) movie ;) . Very impressive! So I don't know why there is interest in an assisted perfect rounds speed run. I also like to see a MK movie or a KI movie with an Orchid 47 hit ultra combo each round for example (yeah it's possible).

You could get 363 with only flying and 369 with the pipe but it would be slower for realtime with the pipe. With collecting the feather of course!

Gabby in 2sec. is BS, sorry but even with cheat codes it wouldn't be possible. There are some players that claim times of 5"9x or 4"9x for Piston but belive me or not that are all cheap fakes. 6"26 is maxed out, 2 pause tricks are used for it. Btw. I've edited the WR list in the post above, Rick can be beaten in 8"71 now for example ;) .

@Fuzzmosis I like to see a 4sec video, because it's not possible as far as I know ;). Here are the non-assisted WRs: 6"26 13"49 5"50 8"64 --- 5"50 7"56 6"33 13"15 --- 8"45 10"60 9"24 9"58 --- 8"58 8"35 11"09 8"71 I've watched the movie and it's an average run, could be improved by 45sec. with the WR strats. I could give it a try if there is interest.

1. It's not required for a total time of :43 AND it looks a bit more entertaining without it ;) . 3. - http://www.superplayers.de/dkc43min.zip - 101% (NTSC) in 00:43h run - http://www.superplayers.de/dkc44min.zip - 101% (PAL) in 00:44h run - http://www.superplayers.de/dkc25min.zip - any% (NTSC) in 00:25h run
