Maybe you're right. But I'll continue the research. I still got school and work to take care of. But if I do start now, it could take quite a bit. My first attempt will be a test run completely through. Hopefully by the end of the second attempt, I might shed more frames off and try to post a faster time. If I am correct, there are 5 cases in this game. Case 1 Walkthrough Case 2 Case 3 Case 4: [1] [2] Case 5: [1] [2] I will take that information into consideration as I research the game. They brought this up in '06? Let's study the game.
However, AVGN gave a review that trashed the game, so I am not so sure if I want to do a test attempt.
AVGN isn't forcing you to not play this game.

I searched YouTube and found walkthroughs of every case in this game. After I watched the first case, the game seems pretty interesting. However, AVGN gave a review that trashed the game, so I am not so sure if I want to do a test attempt. How does entertainment play a certain role in this game and what should the audience expect?!

Kirkq, you the man! That is a lot of hard work put into a game for endurance. You will get a Yes vote out of me, but take your time. Description of your TAS can be important for certain folks.

This is ridiculous. I start off with 20 to 30 frames conserved after skipping the opening storyline and then still come out of Route 01 about several frames ahead. Even with a LV 3 rapid-kick technique and watching $00F6, the results are a little off. What happened here? Don't forget, though, this requires the player to manipulate deeper due to lag, positioning, and synchronization. If I can try to come out with at least 10 frames saved here, I could try to do a 5th project using the same route from the published one. I would strongly prefer you continue research for every single track in the game. Race in all three leagues using the same TAS skills you applied to this one track, and post your fastest times. If you even find a glitch on any racetrack, feel free to showcase it. Or, you can try your luck in "BS F-Zero II Grand Prix" since there is only 5 tracks and one league there. I haven't seen any other tracks unlocked in that game anyhow. [N]

Though they did up the limit and provide HD support, something tells me they're still not good at achieving 60 frames/sec playback. They don't have the software that we got as individuals: VLC.

Even if this was an English version, the result from this would remain the same. Try a game that you know people would love to see get torn out the frame! Or maybe if you research and find any glitches in this game, drop us a line. For now, I'm afraid I'll have to raise the top bar and wait for our friend Motley Grue to eat this one up. I just can't find any good entertainment for this run - nice effort, but sorry. [ND]

I looked at the times and yeah, it is 5 minutes at the least! I have watched the first two and realized how interesting this RPG can be. A lot of work, especially 4 hours, have been put in and it's fairly interesting all the way through. Are you still planning on doing the first Breath of Fire run sometime in the future? Or even planning to beat this again under the influence of corrupting save data? For the time, being, I'll submit my vote and wait for an encode. No pressure. [Y]

When you said "swordless", I thought you were going to beat the whole game where you completely ignored obtaining the sword. I foolishly believed that. I stopped watching the run after you beated all 8 castles, heading into Ganon's lair. [N]

I like the glitch where Pan takes damage while falling through areas of ground. However, input didn't seem to be finished because you still had 2 screens worth of credit-rolls to manually go through after defeating Captain Hook. It's similar to Genesis Ecco the Dolphin (publication) because they too had credit-rolls to push buttons through. [M]

Flygon: That command prompt you posted works best on Linux, right?! If so, what's the best Linux OS to use for encoding? I thought Mandriva and Ubuntu isn't so bad.

Can I please get an MP4? The MKV's fine, but for my computer running VLC, it froze with only 5 seconds remaining on the video due to buffering problems. I'll check my settings.

Coming soon, I'll be looking to do some research on Storm Shadow. I once found out that he dashes on foot and his LV 4 pulse rifle can be much stronger than Hawk's LV 4 laser gun. If this Shadow character is what I think he is, I might see what he can do in a TAS, regardless. But to get Shadow, I have to go through Route 03, Area B, and defeat Cesspool. But even after defeating Cesspool, Route 07 is another "mountain climber". I also read that Shadow has a maximum HP rate of 3 to 9, compared to Hawk's 5 to 11.
