Maybe I should note, everybody who still trys to find some improvements to make me redo this TAS again, will fail badly this time. Simply because, and I can only repeat, there is nothing else left to improve.

I do realize that if someone rates it on tech without watching it, or give it 30000 in entertainment because the first second was entertainment, then they should be fed their own knee caps.

Because you watched 5 (five) minutes of a 120 (onehundredandtwenty) minutes long run. I really don't understand how such a brief glance of a run allows you to judge how good it is in technical terms. Unless, of course, you actually TASed the first 18000 frames yourself and found out that it was improvable by 2000. That, however, I doubt that you did.

I give this a 1 for entertainment and a 4 for technical.
Just out of curiosity, how do you know that this is a "4" in technical if you never even finished it? A common mistake while rating seem to be "Boo, boring movie, I'll rate it low in tech as well" even if the run would be more or less unimprovable. Since you only watched what, 1/20th of the run, you have no idea how tight the run is, or not, hence you should leave out the technical rating. You do know that there is a "no opinion"-box, right? Adding a low entertainment value however, is good, since you clearly were not entertained. I've done this for a few runs recently, so I ended up rating them very low on entertainment and not at all on tech.

Or, we just remove the ratings of the movies. No, really. It causes more controversy than good.
We could just as well terminate the entire website and the bittorrent tracker. You know, because tool-assisted speedruns cause controversy in the speedrunning community (even today). We must be Politically Correct and avoid all constroversies and anything that might cause disagreement. This is, after all, the current PC trend here.
We could also stop being asses (: But seriously, I have seen improvements getting the rating 0/0 by the previous author, I have seen improvements getting a lower tech rating than the old run, I have seen runs getting waaaay lower ratings than the run it obsoleted. That is not really sign of a good system. Of course we all know the reason of this but that's a bit of a sore spot to poke so I won't go there. And yes, I do have examples. Plus, if people rather watches high rated runs, that probably (God damn it do not ignore that word if you desperately need to argue with this) means they rather ignore runs with lower ratings, which I don't think is too good, then again what do I know, I can't even vote anymore (:

Another idea: Re-enable voting, but make poll results viewable only to judges. Plus: -- Avoids the witch hunt issue; no particular vote is going to catch attention. -- Judges get useful numbers. Minus: -- People WANT to see poll results in order to be motivated at voting.
Best suggestion in this topic this far, apart from "Go back to the way it was", which might or might not have been suggested!

Oh shit I remember this run, I watched it when it was submitted, then I forgot to vote, and now I can't vote! I do remember feeling that it was a good enough game to be published.

I tried watching this run 4 times, and given up every time. I am not at all amused by watching a TAS of this game, and to me, this is just more of what made Guano's run bad, namely more of OoT. Yeah I'm a negative bastard and I'm all with sticky on this one. Bleh. I vote no. Horrible game for TASing.

Holy crap I forgot to vote. Watched this a while ago, and yeah with this run, Super Metroid is closing in on Super Mario World but SMW still makes a tiny bit better TASes. Still very very very well made. Quite obviously a yes vote.

If the poll is to be trusted, it seemed to entertain quite a lot of people. Since the technical accuracy of the run doesn't seem to be in much question, I still see no good reason to have rejected this run.
Because it is boring. We try not to have boring runs on this site. Mostly we succeed, and rejecting this was a step in the right direction.
You think its boring, but the majority thinks otherwise.
And because the majority finds it the best shit ever, I'm not allowed to state my opinion? Also I expect a handful of these posts being removed in a not too distant future. And no, 60% is not good votes at TASvideos. Also like Baxter said, no and meh-voters often have more ground for their votes than yes voters. But hey, don't mind me, I'm just a guy not agreeing with the majority, an enemy to the society etc. Y'all.

I think I tried that before, but if it works then it'd be great, especially seeing how this run has stalled at around 1 - 3.

It was pretty good. Samus was cool because I was like "meh another knock down" then the hoe came back. Sweet beans. However a few fights, like big DK, Metal Mario and Fox were really meh, and somewhat bleh. So yeah this had its moment but the meh-moments were too many so I vote meh. Also a message to mmbossman: fuck you <3

Snatch. Cuz it rules \o\ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0208092/ It's sacrifices time for entertainment here and there but it is worth it.

I am voting no because this game was plain out boring and it had a few spots which looked... not optimal like I hope mmbossman will write later on >_>

Games not suitable for TASing should not get published. Easy as that.
