I was thinking, in... scene 3 nighttime? You land in the water after triggering a moving platform, and later on, you have to wait a lot for some spikes to show up. Wouldn't it have been faster to wait for the platform, seeing how it is almost ahead of you when you can move again after the damage, so that you'd be able to run through the spikes in the same level? Maybe I am mixing up the levels but oh well.

I approve. I also find this moment absolutely hilarious: Also "THE POWER OF THE OINMENT IS GONE"-message at the king was pretty hilarious as well.

This was a long holy molyfest. Thank you for creating a GOOD N64-TAS which I could enjoy all the way through. Hell yes-vote.

I was just wondering, at around frame 21400 when you go in and out killing the... whatever it is with a ghost flying around, wouldn't it be worth to give the ghost a killing as well seeing how he is close to you in the end before leaving the screen?

I think a lot more people rather see you finish MM. That's the point here.

Also, shouldn't the 99 lives line be taken out of the movie description since the authors do not in fact get those 99 lives in the autoscrolling stages in the published .fcm?
Movie description wrote:
And of course, a wadload of extra lives are again achieved in the mandatorily slow autoscrolling levels.
Nothing about 99 of them extra chances there.

For boss 1, I'll probably run through him before he starts to run against me so that I can gain speed before he starts his run. Should make the party a lot more fun, and faster.

Yeah I totally messed up level 5 - 2 because it was real time :/ Also I must use an item in this test run as well or Yeti is impossible to avoid. EDIT: Also WIP which finishes this test run. World 7 look pretty bad overall, 7 - 2 got like 0.2 re-records and bleh. I am tired \o/ Now time to go through all the maps of all the levels, draw the best route and see if there are any items I could have harvested. The way it looks now, I need 2 Red Vials for the proper level skipping but I suppose that those do help overall. I beat 4 bosses, so 4 brown bottles probably are needed, unless the first boss is slower with a bottle. I also need to test if a yellow bottle is faster against bosses or not. And try to abuse the glitch from 6 - 2 more, if possible. And I could probably have jumped higher against Max in the end to make that battle faster, and ended input a bit earlier. Also I think that maTO got the skull better than I did so I'll most likely do like he did. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1103585345/World%207%20FIN.gmv

Update etc http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/431201793/World%206.gmv It should play through world 5 unless I messed something up, and 6 - 1. From the look of it, Brain should get a power bottle and Mole some of those homing star attack thingies, so that they can be one-rounded. Other than that, boss 1 can probably get a power bottle as well, seeing how the other bosses hardly are expected to live through more than 1. Maybe the final boss will live through 2, but then 2 has to be gathered before him, no big deal. Also I wonder if the homing star attack thingies really are useful, I have a feeling that it might take longer time to collect and use them than one gains from the attack. I will look into it whenever the test run is done and I restart. Also level 6 - 1 is so broken. Also I intend to do a no damage run so I vote for no options menu-visit before the game starts and play the game with default health.

I might as well be a good person and share what I've got. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1503909020/World4.gmv That's world 1 - 3, and, unlike you in your WIP, I skip certain bosses. From what I can tell, "Being too high in the air makes the boss not appear". This, however, seems to only work on levels that are... um... "high". I never got it to work on boss 1 though. I doubt that it will work on boss 5, it might work on number 4, will most probably work on the 6th and most likely not unless properly haxxed on the last boss. EDIT: I just tried, I could skip boss 2, 3 and 6.

I am working on this... amazingness, I think that the yellow round bottles should be used for the mole and yeti primarily because they only have a short time you can damage them before they seem to enter this "Don't touch me"-state. I'm currently working on a version which runs through the game, and picks up all en route-powerups, but uses none, so I know how many I'll have where, that way I can try each section where say the Red Vials might help to see in which section they should be used.

2 pages are too many for me to read. Is the idea not-to-run, or not-to-use-run-button-at-all?

Feel free to suggest a better screenshot. This one was taken in a hurry and I'm having general troubles with Gens-screenshots.

Past mistakes do not justify making new ones. As for the run, I haven't watched it at all because I seriously can not stand SMS-runs, and I don't want to end up voting no just because I can.

Final Fantasy Tactics is easily the number one ever. Then it gets harder. I'd say... um... FFVI and V, in that order. Yeah.

Hey p_s, SCV4 is better than CVX. You obviously miss the great parts of SCV4. Remember that "The worst blind man is the one who doesn't want to see." And, since a lot of you have been discussing design issues, did anyone other than me notice that the Red Skeleton looked (Far) worse in this game than in Dracula's Curse (Yes, for the NES)? I mean, seriously. Looked like a drunken 4-year old had painted the ones in this game.

Small Only. It combined amazing quality which made the idea look good and not just bleh, and was the single most entertaining TAS this year.

What CPadolf said. Very good run on the far inferior SNES-Castlevania, so one yes-vote coming up.
