Yeah well, I have already watched them :) But I tend to download stuff to see if they are of good quality. I'll be sure to link to your encodes for everyone who wish to see the TAS though!

I) Thanks a lot for the encode Dada! II) Thanks a lot for the run Lil_Gecko! III) It is possible to download the videos from Youtube using Realplayer. Trying to download the first one now, 508 MB. I'll get back to you when I know how the quality holds up.

I do believe 1.5 million units "survived", whereas 2.5 - 3.5 million units were buried in a landfill in a desert somewhere around New Mexico. And to be honest, I have no idea how large the used game-business was back in the 80s, as I wasn't around back then. Perhaps one of the older members could tell me -------=====/o/ Anywho my point is that technically, E.T. could be considered a top game due to high sales. But let me tell you. I love E.T. It's so bad.

Actually, fun fact, E.T. was one of the best selling games for the Atari 2600, with a grand total of 1.5 million units sold. With a game going for around 19 dollars, that meant 28 500 000 dollars in the good ol' 1980s. Only Demon Attack, Space Invaders, Missile Command, Asteroids, Pitfall and Pac-Man sold better for the Atari 2600, technically making E.T. a top game. Also, I don't think I've had more fun with any other console than the Colecovision and the Track and Field-game found on that console. It's just awesome. And, I do own E.T. for my Atari 2600... It... would not make my top 100.

Actually if the topic is renamed to "My Top 100 Video Games", noone could touch you. Right now though, as a former video game reviewer, I do believe I know my stuff. There's no way to say how well Mass Effect 3 will hold up (well ok, bad example...) and how much we'll like that game in 15 years.

For that exact reason, I will never replay Quake II. I will keep on telling me that it was that superb FPS it once were. It's better to be stupid than to be wrong... right?

My bad, there should only be one "l", Colecovision. Anyway a video game console released in 1982 which I assume will be included now since it wasn't excluded. And I believe you did miss my point. It's a hell of a lot harder to see that Uncharted 3 will be "less entertaining" than Final Fantasy IV is now, less than 6 months after Uncharted 3 was released.

Not counting Atari but counting Collecovision? Makes sense. And realistically, you cannot create this kind of list without limiting yourself, say "All games released before 2005" and then give yourself time to play through all of them and not just pray that memory serves you correct when trying to rank the games. For example, I strongly doubt that you have played through Spirit Tracks, Sons of Liberty, Arkham City, Sonic 3, Donkey Kong Country 2, SSX 3, Pikmin 2, FF IV, two Pokemon-games, Layton, Star Fox, Paper Mario and Prime 2 since the release of Rayman Origins to be able to make a fair comparison, and then rank Rayman "worse" than those games listed above said game. Memory and nostalgia is a pain in the ass when review games, I can tell you that much. A wise man once said "Nostalgia is a great thing until we actually go back and experience it". Just saying. Also Braid is for PS3 as well since sometime last fall.

Right. This should obsolete the published TAS. There's no reason for 2 branches of this game (unless someone finds glitches that breaks the game to nothingness), my mistake. Sorry.

Seeing how his latest submission just got published, I see no reason for this, even better TAS, to be published as well, so yeah, I think it should be published fo shizzles. I'll get down to finishing my TAS someday, I have exams coming up for the next 3 weeks so time is limited. Also yes vote.

How much time savings do you have by the end of level 3 compared to this run?
I'm 220 frames faster. It might be more than a month, it might be less too. I dunno really ): Also I don't collab TASes anymore due to lack of time and not too good experiences :/ Sorry.

No. I'm at least a month away from submission. From what I've gathered, no damage is faster due to the game being quirky. And it looks 1000000% better imo.

Nahoc no it does not. I am faster in all three stages that I've done so far.

The one thing that confuses me a bit was the statement that the next TAS most likely will be using a different route, implying that this route is suboptimal. Is that the case, or is that just a prediction?

This was very good, and if the reason for the death was to save time, then yes.

As opposed to the movie where Robocop fights vampires only to get blown up to atoms only to return later? I gotta rank Demons 2 to these gems as well, where one of the actor who died in the first movie returned in the second one just for shits and giggles. And once again died. But yes, I agree that Troll 2 is an ongoing trainwreck.

You are clearly not being serious. That's quite evident because of the lack of Troll 2, the best movie ever made.
I completely agree.
You guys are both completely off the fucking bandwagon. Best movie ever made is, all hands down, Robo Vampire. That being said, Troll 2 has some epic, unmatched moments that always seem to slip past the scope of the "real" movie critics. It's so easy to just be an ass and judge Troll 2 by its cover, when in reality it should be considered to be a gold nugget covered in rotten milk.

Totally for the record, my mind is that this should be published, as can be seen in my posts, though just raising "but" against OoT makes me the final boss on the internet :) And see, it only took 3 days, but asking nicely, I pretty much got all the information I needed. You guys aren't as dense as you might seem! Not even half as dense as the dude hugging Link and opening walls and punching his chest and doing something with a gem. He might have a name, I couldn't tell from the cutscene.

And what two questions were they?
Exactly how much time is saved by using J instead of U going on text alone, down to the second (or better yet, frame) and how much time could be saved by the fire forest warp thing Swordless Link has mentioned on Youtube. Thanks in advance.
It is around 12 minutes. There's no need to say it is 42596 frames, it wouldn't even change the whole situation a bit.
Thank you for the information on both questions! However, it does matter for further reference. I think it's unfair for a new TASer, if he/she would be picking the U-ROM, being the one having to find out the exact number of frames for his/her advantage.
