I read a review saying pretty much "Duke Nukem Forever is awesome, as long as you don't compare it to Crysis 2, Modern Warfare, Half-Life 2 yadayada", which is kinda true. While the game has some cool elements, it's far from the best in... anything (I don't think it beats Postal 2 in "Rude jokes"). Now I don't mind graphics as in low/high-res textures, but what I do mind is models which are out of place, out of proportion, out of... anything. Try jumping while watching yourself in the mirror for some hilarity. Overall, it doesn't even try. This game doesn't beat Half-Life 2, the game it's trying so bad to be. And I would not agree with variety in levels, I'm afraid. Changing textures does not mean adding variety in game play.

Are there 3 glitches in this run? O.o I counted these: - lifting the baby while running; - walking on water; - running through enemies for no damage
The middle one isn't a glitch; they have God on their side!

Now on a related note, I'll finish DNF only to be able to say "I finished Duke Nukem Forever". Then, I'll probably never play it again.
I apologize for sidetracking a bit, but I am curious about this. ... Where do avid gamers find the time to replay games?
I generally play through all games at least twice, first on an above-average difficulty, then on the hardest difficulty, just to keep myself from losing my touch. Some games, I end up playing more than twice because they are totally awesome (Uncharted-series), and some games I never finish because they simply are not worth my time. Some games are such a great experience that it's worth to play through them time after time, and since I only play single-player games, I never end up wasting time playing the same MW-map 50 times per night, 7 nights a week. That being said, has anybody tried the multiplayer in this game?

Look, the point is, this topic is about DNF, which for the record stands for "Duke Nukem Fails", now when AKA and I made lots of complaints about this game being mediocre to average at best, it was perfectly fine to then state "I won't be getting it then", we really didn't need to have "I won't be getting it then, instead, I'll transfer the exact amount of money onto a console, and then I'll describe the situation for another four or so messages". Do notice the difference. Now on a related note, I'll finish DNF only to be able to say "I finished Duke Nukem Forever". Then, I'll probably never play it again. The name of the ghost town in Highway Massacre really did it for me.

AKA should rename this topic into "Kitsune's 3DS"

They always smite the ones being correct. Duke Burger 1 almost felt like a real level! I was so entertained for all the 2 minutes the level lasted!

The game feels pretty average to me. I don't understand why they thought it would be a good idea to only allow you to have 2 weapons at a time as well as that sprint function and the controls for mini Duke when he's driving the RC is really bad. Strangely, I actually enjoy reading posters and doing the puzzle solving sections more than the shooting. One annoying thing I've found when I play the game is sometimes I randomly fire for no reason. I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this or if its a bug in the game. I'll give my full take on the game once I've completed it.
Never thought I'd say this but... QFT. Reading posters and laughing at all the jokes is the best part of the game. Like the joke about the actual delay in the beginning, that was hilarious, and the microwave oven going NUKEM whenever you run it. Overall, just meh.

Crap, this game is badly outdated. After 5 - 6 hours, I get the feeling that it's a half-assed, half-finished product which finally just had to be released. Admittedly, I've been chucking at some of the horrible, horrible jokes, but the gameplay itself is... horrible beyond belief. Furthermore, it's not the most good-looking game this year, actually far from, and the loading times are awful. And the amusing part is that it is just as average as we all expected it to be. Also I doubt that the story will grow the more you play it, as the plot really is just a mish-mash of badly connected dots.

Now the main issue is that I've heard a lot about the Wii U being "more powerful than the PS3 and 360", which is ok, it should be as it is a new console, but the point is that Wii-owners have been telling PS3- and 360-owners to go fuck themselves because "all they care about is graphics". Now when the tide's turning, graphics are suddenly ey-okay? I mean personally I don't give much shit, as far as making the characters "feel alive", voice acting is so much more important than graphics etc. I'd rather play Super Mario World with a controller I know works perfectly (tm) than play Mario 971 on some kind of ungodly abomination which Nintendo likes to call "controller", and people seem to accept, despite said controller sucking (see moozooh's point). However, Nintendo no longer encouraging casual shit games and instead creating a new era of hardcore games? Yes please. Then again, what is this I am hearing about releasing Resident Evil 4 for the Wii U? Unfortunately, despite RE4 being one of the best games ever, such an action further enhances the feeling of this being yet another Gamecube. Plus as we all know, buying first-gen of any console means getting fucked badly, and taking such a risk with this entirely new console is daring. Most importantly, when will this be TASable?

Ok to be fair, we've seen like, 2 minutes of gameplay and a few pictures, if even that? The console is due to be released when, 2012? It's a bit too early to say "OMG IT WILL ROCK" or "lulz it will suck". Really guys. To make up one's mind before really knowing... anything is a bit, well, you know. Lame?

I must say, while the game itself offers average entertainment value, the author makes this run incredibly entertaining to watch. Good job!

No. There's no reason to be against it. As previously stated, there are more reason to be against cars. Because they kill people each day. That being said, nuclear powered cars... hm... we might be onto something here! No but seriously. I think it's fucking hilarious that environmental crusaders are on against everything that works, and wants us to use everything that really doesn't. Nuclear does what windoesn't. HAH. I'm on fire. Not literally. That'd be horrible.
