How many levels are there? It seems that unless there are a lot, there's wouldn't be much reason 1 person couldn't do it.

I'm having trouble opening the RAR. Also, the large file size indicates this is the ROM. Unless I'm mistaken, posting ROMs of hacks isn't allowed.

Again, N64 games can't be measured. In RCR, I got 30 PPF with the trash can trick and maximum upgrades. How fast does L+R send you in Battle of Olympus? I know it's 128 something, but I'm not sure what.

River City Ransom can get pretty insane with the right powerups. Unupgraded, the trash can trick sends people at around 10p/f. I'll do a test with max upgrades in a minute. EDIT: I just moved someone at 20p/f in RCR, so fast he could go through walls. In theory, I might be able to send someone up to twice as fast. I'll do more tests. The charge attack in Densetsu No Stafy nears 10, but I don't know how to measure precisely. To whoever asked what the out-of-slant-pipe in SMW speed is; around 3-4 PPF. On an unrelated note, what's the fastest speed in pokémon-like RPGs? The snake morph in Animorphs (GBC) goes around 5 PPF, but idk about many games.

Just a random game, fill in the blanks. I'll go first: You know you play tetris too much when you play mentally with the city skyline.

I think the elevator was OK - a bit of a time to collect oneself after all the insanity.

A whole bunch of tantalizing quotes from someone on the ICP forum, indicating he has a rerecording DS and PC emulator:

doing a TAS is easy if you have tons of free time (like me) and patience (somehow, when i do crazy s*** like this, i have plenty of it). I've done several so far. Super Mario 64 (D.S. version) in 5:24 IC campaign in 2.32:47 Super Mario 64 (Nintendo version) in 16:34 and finaly (my most way out one ever thats somewhere on the computer) Half Life (ORIGINAL) in 22:07 (due to the fact that everything in the game is set, and i had about 22 hours of free time and a good ai programming knowledge of half life and was able to create a jump-map and a shot-map for the game, it was easy.) might upload them if i can get my youtube account working for more than half an hour. the ds version of the mario TAS was done on an emulator with savestats and slowdown on the 6 star method. The DS emulator of course. Rather than explain the 6 star method, do a youtube search for it, if its not on youtube, do a GoogleVideo search. search for mario 64 speedrun, it should come up with something close to 6 mins. (i forget the site i got the emulator from, all i remember is doing a google search for it)(can't wait for the HALO 3 RoM to come out!) i used the 1st (emulator) i could find.
I've asked a few times about where he got the emulators, and to see the videos. He hasn't sent me either. I'll keep trying.

How about games that take freakishly high amounts of precision, like Lunar Pool, Mario Golf 64, or Arkanoid? For these, everyone would work on level 1, then the fastest is taken, then level 2, etc.

Also, have a seperate listing looking at absolute time, not just ratios.

I think the ratio idea is more or less the same as the percentage improvement one.

"Smallest improvement" might also be interesting, to see what games get "frame-warred". Of course, it's tricky to phrase that in a positive way.

Basically, when a movie improves on a published movie by a lot, it gets listed. There would be two listings: Percentage of the old run's time Elapsed time. Might be interesting to see where huge improvements had been made. [Edit by Bisqwit: This suggestion does not deserve its own thread. Moving it into the thread that talks about the Movie Statistics page.]

I have had a horrendous time finding a good SMB2 ROM, having no clue where I downloaded the first one. But when I find it, I could have a run somewhat soon as I plan to work very hard. Expect a WIP within a week if the ROM I just downloaded is good.

I know that's in SMB3, and I saw automatic pipes in a hack of SMW called "Lost Levels Deluxe".

... See, I wanted to use this for a bit of a prank. One of my cousins is 7 and he has a SNES, with SMW, but he's not very good - can't beat the first castle. I figured I'd give him an autoplaying hack and tell him after about a day that you can win without doing anything. I suppose the gag is ruined, though, if you need a specific frame to start on.

I think Pokemon Stadium 2 is at least 128, possibly 256 mb.

For the boss defeat one, wouldn't you need to be quite lucky for it to actually work?
