Haha, yeah, no worries. No more YI for me ever again. Apparently, in this game I suck at launching eggs and using Yoshi's tongue to collect them again. (you can tell in the any% 1-1 I posted; you can see I was struggling to keep that egg by my side towards the end, and wrote it off as "adding entertainment".)

Well, my thought on EG was why do it in the full run if you can do it right at the start inside the castle and beat the game in 3 minutes? If the DMD follows the same logic, like you can do this maneuver to basically end the game far sooner than normal and remove all the fun, then I'd say don't bother. I'd probably have to look at the vid and see what happens and how much time it shortens it by.

Ditto.
I'd also say that overall, Jet Force Gemini has fantastic music.
I'd say of all sonic games, sonic 3 has the most number of tracks which are cool, followed by 3D Blast.

No, unfortunately. It ended up being an expensive way to say hello, and I would have only been there for 2 days out of 6, which isn't as fun.
I wish I could have, and I hope you and the rest of the karters have an awesome time.
I'll try and give you guys a call just to say hi at least.
Edit: I've been not working on MMF for the longest time... time to roll up the sleeves and finally get it done. I'll try to work more actively on this than I have in the past, especially since the presence of the record resetting mupen has me motivated. Can't say for sure when I'll have this course finally done, but I hope to get it finished in a reasonable time to show you guys.

On Baxter's homepage:
"Doesn't seem like Spezzafer will finish his 100% wip of this run. It was totally awesome though, and there should definately be a 100% run of this game. I plan on starting over from the beginning. By starting over, I'll be able to get to know the game really well, while still being able to compare with Spezzafer's wip, and I also might be able to save some time here and there (you'll never know). Do note that I won't start this run untill most of the movies listed above are done."

Make a logo of Samus running very, very, very slowly, never quite reaching her destination, with the words "low%" on her armor.
:-p
Well good to hear that an AVI of this can currently be created with some fiddling.

Dromiceius' joke was one of the most beautiful things I have seen in a long while. I am sorry that the drawing cannot fully capture the pure essence of it aesthetically.

I've had my laptop back for a while (if you'd have kept your eye on my signature, you'd seen when I got it back), but been too busy for OoT. And Harry Potter took up all my free time this week (but I finished last night.)
edit: as time goes on, it seems less and less likely that I can work fully on this... so far all I've contributed is a 6 second faster kokiri forest, and a constant "sidehop more!" attitude. With other projects and an upcoming fall semester that is going to be quite busy (day job, evening classes that I need to commute to) I can't guarantee I'll have enough time for anything really.

I haven't seen lipucd, zeroseven, or whomever else post in a while, and pirate_sephiroth is busy with AoS all soul run. I'd assume that's a fair statement.

Hm, perhaps you associated me and my DKC2 102% run with your writing too much. I don't think a 102% optimal run is possible, I'd assume 100% is a rating of 10 and mathematically proveable to be the fastest time :-p.
Yeah, I read arkiandruski's full sub text afterwards and fully noticed the entertainment at sacrifice of speed goal, which I agree to be worth it as you opinionated. I think it was emu mentioning how sliding was used instead of jump+attack in the beginning of the run, and how it could have avoided kicking enemies as much as possible to reduce the pause while kicking the normal grunts. But these were small things, I concur the constant motion and action was incredibly aesthetically appeasing.

2 player mayhem/antics, constant action and explosions, of this well played game? Awesome. Watched the WIPs as they came out, so most likely will vote yes when I'm finished watching the full thing. good work.
Edit: you get that yes as I suspected. Highly entertaining; I'm not sure if it's 100% optimal, but pretty close.

Major Edit:
Here is the improved Pirate Panic stage, 105 frames faster than the published run, 7 frames faster than Arne's attempt linked in his any% submission. This will likely be the only shown stage until submission for this new and improved version for 102%.
