Sadly, no.

I was just wondering why there arent many submissions... does it really take so long? I see there are a few wii games, but not even a single gamecube game... Are they just being worked on? or is it emulator red tape issues?
You mean published, not submitted. No GameCube games have been published, but there has been one rejected submission (Spider-Man 2) and one cancelled submission (Super Smash Bros. Melee), and there is one run currently in the Workbench (Custom Robo). Also, there is nothing wrong with Dolphin from a TAS standpoint. Save states are more stable than even Mupen-rr's. And yes, GameCube and Wii games are mostly the longest and most complex of all the console games that have runs on this site (especially because most are 3D). Not to mention, some of the runners have really annoying real life commitments that prevent them from working on their long, complex runs. Please just be patient.

If 23 isn't more accurate than 19, 21 or 22, what's the point in banning the older ones?
Isn't 23 more accurate? I thought it was more accurate in addition to being backwards-compatible with movies from previous revisions. Even if it's not more accurate, what's the point of using old revisions if those movies sync on this one? I think only the latest revisions of the two VBA branches should be accepted: VBA 23.5 (backwards-compatible except VBA 20), and the more accurate VBA24-M (and VBA 20 for rare cases). Why would we need to accept a run from any other VBA revision?

Past VBA revisions ... how about at least banning the emulators which are 2 revisions/versions behind?
I definitely agree. If I remember correctly, VBA 20 GBx movies sync on VBA 24-M, since they have the same GBx core. There are some runs, though, like the Pokémon Green TAS, that require VBA 20, so that revision could stay in use. However, VBA 19, 21, and 22 movies should all sync perfectly on the latest VBA 23, so I don't see any reason for runs on these older versions to still be accepted.

Don't you think this needs to be claimed and judged and the author needs to respond to the questions about his own run?

Didn't the Final Fantasy VIII TAS get judged and published faster than this? There should be no excuse for a submission going unclaimed for over a month and a half. And are you saying not even the people who commented watched the whole encode? I certainly did.

Oh, well it's really surprising to me that this hasn't been even claimed, and most of the members haven't even watched this run, much less commented on it. I expected there to be more activity for a nearly two-month-old GameCube submission.

I thought the plan was to just leave this unjudged forever?
Who planned that? Did I miss an IRC discussion? We can't just leave this in the Workbench. No one wants this to sit here as long as Seiken Densetsu 3 (though that one was actually almost ready to publish).

Should the decision be set to delayed until the author provides more information? Or does the submission have to be claimed for judging first (which still hasn't happened)? This submission really isn't getting a lot of activity for some reason.

Are everyone's questions ever going to be answered? It's been almost a month. I still don't see why this is a playaround, and if there's no reason it shouldn't aim for the fastest time, then I might have to vote No for an suboptimal route.

I think this is entertaining enough to be published. This game actually looks pretty fun, and you played through it nice and fast. Yes vote.

Is anyone working on a cutsceneless encode!?
Why do some people seem so obsessed with that? If cutscenes are edited out because they are boring, why stop there? Let's also cut all the parts of the run that are boring. Let's make a 2-minute cut for those who don't want to watch a 20-minute run, with just the juiciest bits left in.
I think he's joking. He's noting the irony of the ratio of cutscenes to gameplay in this run (since a cutsceneless encode was made for the currently published any% run). I'm starting to understand rog's sense of humor. (His next comment will probably be him telling us he's not joking.)

I noticed Action 52 on that list. But there's already a published run for the main subgame (The Cheetahmen), and the only other subgame that's been TASed is Billy Bob. Do you think any other Action 52 subgame would make for an entertaining run?

This is a really fast-paced and well-made run, VanillaCoke! Very entertaining too. I agree with Zeupar that this run stands a very good chance of winning an award this year. Big Yes vote! By the way, I never had a problem with talking to you and you definitely didn't ramble. Thanks for thanking me in your submission text though and I look forward to working with you in a few months.

Those are interesting videos. I didn't even know a star collected while dying would count.

Meshidaru, the new Ocarina of Time any% TAS has been submitted and it's even faster than that run (technically the world record).

CoolKirby, That Paper Mario hack, was awesome. I LOLed.
I thought it was awesome too, and I hope you didn't think I made it. (I should clarify that.) I am thinking of making my own TTYD text hack someday, or even a full hack if the tools become available (I know almost nothing about hacking). I'm amazed that the hacker was able to insert large, colored, and wavy text too.

TAS of Action 52: Billy Bob
It's funny because the AVGN said that game was impossible after trying it out in his Action 52 episode. I actually like that episode more than his other ones because he doesn't swear as much: Link to video

The category is mislabeled. This isn't "glitched", it's beating the game's random mode.
I agree. The branch should be changed to "random mode" or something else that more accurately describes the TAS. "Glitched" is not only inaccurate, but it makes it look like an April Fool's submission, and I assume you really want this published.

but they are not entertaining
Judging by the number of Yes votes and positive comments in this thread, a lot of people disagree with you.
The yes vote counts aren't exactly stellar either.
I also mentioned the comments. You can't say all "minimum buttons pressed" runs are boring because quite a few users posted that this run was "entertaining" or "very entertaining". Comments are more important to judges than votes anyway.
