The publication text is a good start, but it really needs more information. How about a sentence or two on the game, like every other run's text?

There is no war within the walls. I don't know many conspiracy theories, but the 9/11 ones are pretty interesting. I don't believe them, but they bring up some interesting questions. Why did Bush keep reading to those kids instead of protecting the country?

It's okay. Just continue the movie where you left off and go back and get everything you need to earn the statue.

There is no longer a 40 MiB limit to movies.
I didn't know about this! Would this stop a 6 hour GameCube game run from being completed on, say, 3.0-508?

Also, which 4 losers voted no on this?
They didn't vote No to publication. They voted No to it being entertaining, and explained why they felt that way.

Did you try deleting temporary files and your Internet cache? That should free up some space.

I haven't watched the whole thing, but aren't we voting on entertainment on not technical merit?
Yes, we are voting on entertainment, and it's okay not to think the run is entertaining. No one should feel pressured to vote Yes if they found the run boring.

Or it could be WiiHawk, and any special icons for it could be a wee (small) hawk.

I like Odongdong's screenshot suggestion, actually, much more than any of the ones I've seen so far. It's from a fast-pasted star, it shows something that isn't actually possible in the game without glitches (that people who've played the game will know), and it's visually interesting.
This is my favorite screenshot suggestion so far as well.

Sounds like a good and fair system. I like that the vault multiplier is less than 1 as an incentive for authors to shoot for making entertaining (Moon) runs.

The numbers updated once per hour. So you will not see an immediate change in player points when movies are published or rated.
Does this mean the site will noticeably get very slow every hour?

Why did you post this here? This subforum is specifically for NON-tool assisted runs:

Yes, he just told you how he thinks entering walls is done. He said to press the opposite direction (left if moving right) before entering a wall, to make the wall pull Mario inside instead of eject him back out, and he suggested you watch how it's done in an existing run to see how long you need to push each direction and at what time.

Pointless bump is pointless. A more recent rejected/cancelled submission that is still being actively discussed (like Point Blank DS) would have been much better for your joke than digging up an old one.

I expected this to be absolutely amazing, and it was, but I was still blown away by the speed of Mario Wings to the Sky, the strategy of Can the Eel Come Out to Play?, and the genius route for Mystery of the Monkey Cage. Definitely Star material. Not sure about TAS of the year though (Pokémon might deserve it more). YES vote though, and thanks for the beautiful HD encode!

Ooh, Spikestuff was one second faster, TASEditor. Thanks, Nahoc. Can't wait to read that submission text or watch the run.

Why are her eyes so scary-looking? I would like to see all that could be done with the code as well, but I understand it's no small task to even write out this simple program, and I suppose it's still really impressive.

Maybe excluding "Messing" would be better
I think that text all appears at the same time, so that isn't an option. Maybe a screenshot of "Messing with it could bug"?

Nice find! I was looking for something in that area to use for my eventual run. I think it's not solid because you're supposed to get killed by the water before you touch it, so they didn't need to put collision detection in for it.

When will this streaming happen? I will probably be with family for part of tomorrow and don't want to miss it.

Stupid game, but good run. Looks nice and optimized. The death at the end of the first level is funny. Yes vote.

Yes this should be published as a star
Why would this be published as a star? Quite a lot of people thought it was boring and slow. It's not exactly an exemplary TAS.

Absolutely amazing technical achievement. There's no reason TASVideos should not house this run. Yes vote.

I agree. Maybe it should be changed to something more representative of the game. I never understood this game, but there's nothing technically wrong with this run, so I'm glad it got published.
