I have begun working on a 100% tas. Here's what I have thus far. Link to video Link to video Not sure how good or bad it is, but this game is a huge pain to tas due to the games camera. Also, if anyone knows any unknown glitches, please post them. Here's the Shadow Artifact Skip, which I have found recently. Link to video It will save over a minute in a 100% run.

Slide jumping/Sliding is the fastest way to move as is. Not too sure which one is faster, but most runners prefer to slide jump. So that is something that needs to be tested. As for glitches, there are various damage boosts that allow you to walk over death pits in levels like Goldrush, Crate Balls of Fire, Droid Void, and others that I can't think of atm. For routing I would suggest you route around the water levels so you have 2 masks while entering them, because it is faster. If you have any questions please ask. Here's the fastest known gc time if you are interested Link to video Also an Xbox run :b http://www.twitch.tv/solarbowler/c/3306365

Alright, since the gulp skip has been found, the tas will have to be re-done. This really sucks since I will have to redo idol springs fish. The route would basically be Glimmer > Ocean Speedway > Crush > Crystal Glacier > Gulp > Fireball > Robotica > Canyon Speedway > Summer Forest > Autumn Plains > Finish Zee Game! In the meantime I will work on an any% tas which will probably be sub 10 minutes.

Nice tas first of all. I have been running this game for around 8 months, and there is 1 big mistake in this run. There's a trick to get to the top of moneybag's mansion which gives you about 175 gems in around 8 seconds and this would change the route and maybe save 1 minute, you can also skip ripto much faster than using the hover glitch thingy which is around 10 seconds. I am going to say accept, but I think later on down the line I, or maybe you will improve this tas with these tricks. Very nice tas. If you would like to see the glitches pm me on my youtube "Crash41596". I would like to inform you with everything that I possibly can.

Why the large stretch from 1:17 to 1:25 where no charging is used?
You have to have the camera on the guy at certain times so that he moves, so no time is lost if he is doing his animations.

Just to give a quick update for this project. The actual tas has started. We kinda gave up on the idea of a test tas, because it was pretty much pointless. So there should be a wip in a week or 2 of the first 3 levels. Get your ass online Cody!!

Best Moneybags picture ever (but where is the bag ?). I agree that Crash41596's route is faster, but isn't it better that after Hunter's challenge, you directly double jump to the next orb, then go in the water to go back to the start of summer forest, then swim in the air to clear this area a little bit faster ?
You have to keep in mind the gems in the castle, and underwater at colossus. We use swim later in the route after sunny beach.

1. You can purchase the swim ability before entering Colossus quite easily without sacrificing time since you will already have 400 gems from Glimmer alone (from skipping Money Bags). It is faster to enter Idol Springs first anyway since you would otherwise have to run to Idol Springs and then run back toward Colossus again. You should collect all of the gems outside Glimmer (except the ones near the water tunnel) and collect all of the gems in the pit and on the stairs in the next room (running down the stairs and taking the whirlwind is the fastest). When you enter the area near Idol Springs, collect all of the gems around Idol Springs counter-clockwise, including the gem worth 25 nearby. Ignore the gems near Hunter for now. By then you should have enough gems to purchase the swim ability.
To me, this doesn't exactly make much sense. I guess I will try and draw a picture to clear up why I think it doesn't make much sense. You would have a bit of a problem with the gems after colossus. I also hope you know about the skip through the roof. Also about the swim you were mentioning, we already use this in the current route. I also think the tas could go below 1:55. What would be the easiest method to find the x,y,z coordinates of something, such as the character you play as?

The WIP looks cool, but the movement seems way too unoptimized for my liking.

I have been running hero's tail for quite some time now, I would really like to tas this eventually, once there's a proper working emulator. I have a route, and the current record for the game, but I wish more people ran this game because of how glitchy it actually is. Currently you are able to skip into the 2nd boss, and the final boss itself. I guess I may post a list of glitches which cuts the game in half. Glitches - Zombie: Die on a moneybags shop pad, then open the shop pad as sparx goes away. This glitch has very strange effects on the bosses, I still need to test the gnasty gnorc boss door with the glitch. Also, all of the enemies do not have any effects on you. - Swim in the Air: This plays a huge role in the run itself, this is mainly what cuts the run in half. In the first hub I use swim to get a few light gems out of the way, because I need to get 45 by the end of the run (40 for super charge, 45 for the last glitch). I also swim in the 2nd hub up to cloudy domain because I need the light gems and the wing shield to actually finish the game faster then normal. The 3rd hub is completely glitchless. The 4th hub is completely broken with swim in the air. Right at the start, you can use swim in the air. you do this by using the wing shield as you fall in the water, thus forcing you to the bottom of the lake, then you charge through a wall and keep the swimming animation. You take this swim all the way to the ball gadget, hitting every loading zone as you go through the level. After the ball gadget you proceed to dark mines. Right at the start of dark mines there's a 45 light gem door. You go into the room then get the 24 light gem gadget which allows you to swim in acid lakes. You go in the water with the power-up then clip through the wall and then die on the moneybags pad, thus giving you zombie. You do the glitch again, and then you have swim until the final boss, you just have to hit all of the loading zones up to the final boss. -Basic Clipping: This works like many other methods of clipping, you just put yourself in a very tight spot and forces you oob. My current real time pb for this game is 1:46:xx. I will grab some videos of tricks and post them here later.

Me and a few friends are collaborating on a Crash Bash tas. It seems very interesting, and would be very entertaining to watch, simply because of how hard the game usually is and just seeing us destroy the game. The main problem in this game is the major luck manipulation. Almost every level including the title screen includes luck manipulation. Route: We currently only have a route for the first hub, but the problem is the gem/crystal collecting route. Everything seems kinda sketchy atm. Hopefully we can get a pretty optimal route.

Sorry, but I am going to have to give this a huge no. Simply because of some points that are kind of sloppy, and the fact that nobody ever uses the jungle rollers skip to get the box gem. I was really hoping the tas would include this. It saves about 2 minutes, it's a damn shame :c. I would also say no because it seems that not much effort was put into the tas, seeing how there is only 6000 re-records for a 1hour movie.

:( Oh well, thanks to everyone who watched the run and voted on it, and I hope you enjoyed it :) Edit: Just read Mothrayas' note, thanks for considering and explaining why it couldn't be accepted. All in all, although it's annoying it can't be published because of this little problem, I'm still happy to have made the TAS, and perhaps get resubmitted in the future if a workaround is indeed found.
It was a pleasure tasing with you. I hope in the next few years psx-jin will get better emulation.
