As I recall, you can't get ChopChop while or after going for the ring. It has to be before, else you can forget about it.

Actually there are 3 or 4 hits in the combo that hit a little harder than single digit damage. I don't know if it's constant, but I noticed that in most of my combos. It goes like: (first hit) 5, 2, 3, 22, 5, 1, 1, 3, 4, 17, etc. Edit: The stronger hits are on the 8th and 12th notes.

I think you can get some more falling speed by bouncing on walls. Not verified.

I say go ahead. It's a game from my childhood, but never been after level 2.

I just tried that game, and I think it'd make an awesome run.

Not canceled, but my free time is pretty much inexistent... Right now I can't access my run, since I'm at my girlfriend's house... By the way, I found a way to save even more frames in the WIP I posted.

Are you sure that the regular shots don't hurt the bosses? Because I remember killing a boss with constant firing+snow balls, and snowballs only, and the boss went down 1 snow ball earlier... Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure it worked... Maybe not all the bosses take damage from the regular shots... Or maybe it takes 30 regular shots to make his HP go down by 1 point? Just throwing some ideas...

Sorry, I can't watch your WIP right now, I'm at work. But if you say you got the 2 potions, good! About the yellow potion, I'm pretty you can wait till the last levels to get it (if you get it), since the enemy formations up to level 41 are really basic.

Have you considered the Blue potion too? (Takes less time to completely freeze enemies, and hits bosses a bit harder (I think)). I guess you can wait a little bit before taking that one though... But I'm pretty sure that over 50 levels, it'll save time. The Yellow potion (increases the distance that snow can be thrown) might be a bit useless, unless in later levels you wanna freeze enemies to perform some combo or something before they fall on a lower platform...

FINALLY!! Someone willing to completly destroy my current "run"! Remember that it actually hurts bosses when you continually fire at them. There are not a lot of "tricks" you can use from my previous run, but *some* strategies might be ok... Did you try dropping Speed Potions at the first level?

2 years between my two posts... Does that count as double posting...? Anyway, I had some free time, and I tried to beat Randil's current Goonies II TAS. So far, I'm 197 frames ahead at the 2nd goonie. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/721412121/Goonies%20II%2C%20The%20%28U%29%20DJ%20FozzBozz.fcm

Wow, when you think the next level will be boring, it atually becomes 10 times better! For a puzzle game, there's so much action in later levels... I've never seen the game past the ice world, and damn, it gets a lot harder and really fun to watch. Really intense. Awesome job! That's a Yes.

16 frames ahead up to the same place as you. Already love this game, I might as well go for a full run if there is enough interest. So please post if you think you would like to watch this run.
Excellent!! Did you find new tactics? In which levels did you find place for improvement?

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/4980/MoaiKunj.fcm Moai Kun, a very fun puzzle/action game from my childhood (available on some pirated carts). Here's a test run I did when I had more free time. I would love to actually continue this run, but as I said, I don't have enough free time to finish a run. So I'm just throwing this idea to you guys, in case someone is looking for a challenge. What I know from the game: -a jumping headbutt is 1 frame faster than regular walking -if you break a block on the right frame with the jumping headbutt, you can go through the above falling block (if present) for about 4 frames. (See movie for reference) edit: oh yeah, and it's the Moai Konami used in Wai Wai World.

The word "Villgust" rings a bell... Is it some kind of RPG/Action game, with a fox/wolf-like hero?

The thing is, the english cartridge exists, but it was unplayable because of one little bug. So someone unrelated to Nintendo or had to modify one bit of the code or something like that to make the game playable on an american console. At least that's what I read.

Alright... I will talk using "we", because I'm pretty sure it's what most of the people around here think. We don't care about SRP2, and we don't want to TAS it. We do not like that hack and it's incomplete. You can't force us into liking something we don't like. So we won't TAS that game. It's that simple. So since you don't want to TAS that hack yourself, here's a little an idea: If there's a skilled TASer that wants to give this hack a try, PM "funguy10". There you go, if someone else wants to see that hack TASed, they will PM you. And that will clean the threads.

Well, it was kinda fun at first, but it gets boring real quick.
