So, no emulator-related way to do it? Because I still have some 32x32 tiles I splitted, but I wonder how I did it with screenshots... Edit: Crap, wrong forum: I remember that I did those with VirtuaNES... But now I have the same problem: can't make them screenshots bigger than 256x240... And I REALLY need to double that... :( I need 512x480 screenshots. If anyone remembers how to do it, please tell me!!

Damn... Because I really need to take TONS of screenshots, and I just can't open them all in Paint just to double their size... I remember being able to screenshot 32x32 tiles instead of 16x16 tiles with an emulator... But I don't remember which one...

I just wanted to know if there was a way to save snapshots as .bmp instead of .png? Edit: I also need to know if there's a way to take bigger pictures, like 512x448 instead of 256x224. Thanks.

Don't worry, oldskool time attackers know how to make a video without Frame Advance. And since perfection isn't required here, it will be easy (unless it's a glitch like you said). And yes, I remember Karateka, I have it on a 260 in 1 pirate cartridge. Funny how a man is automatically killed if he's not in combat position? :P

I absolutely love this game, and I've watched every WIP videos made, and I must say that I more than enjoyed it!

That's really good, Destiny of an Emperor is one of my favorite NES games, and I'm TOTALLY into that run!

I found something on Octomammoth, I think it could be usefull. I found out that it isn't a fixed amount of damage that kills his tentacles. I had the Goblin summon, and it only does 1 dmg. Yet almost everytime I used it, it "killed" a tentacle. I figured out that the first part of Octomammoth (From all tentacles to 2 tentacles) remembers the number of succesful attacks you do, and not the amount of damage you do. So the question is, does Octomammoth's hps start to drop when there's only 1 tentacle left, or if it accumulates both dmg and number of hits you do? If its hp starts to drop when there's only one tentacle left, then you don't have to waste time with using strong attacks, or anything that takes more time than a regular attack, until Octomammoth's last "form".

I don't know if it's been discussed before (althought I'm pretty sure of it, since it's a logical thing to try), but what happens if you die in that overflown map data?

And if I remember correctly, if you don't take the documents, you can't complete the level.

But something that Ness has that is powerful: his PK Thunder Dash (or his 3rd jump). His Spike is awesome, and his throws are super fast and are some of the most powerful in the game. 2 of his smashes are excellent (Down Yoyo and Bat). Of course he's an aerial character, and his PK Fire can be followed by any of his powerful moves for massive damage.

I'm pretty sure that the Air Shooter isn't the only weapon that hurts Heatman more than the Buster... If there's a level that doesn't have tons of places to use Item 1, a quick and easy boss to kill, that gives a good weapon against Heatman, then the fight against Heatman would be faster. If the Air Shooter is the ONLY weapon that damages Heatman more than the Buster, then we need to test both routes. (Heatman first or Airman first).

The only thing wrong with this route is you get the Item 1 a bit too late... And since Item 1 is SUPER useful in Airman's stage (to skip the lightning-throwers-on-clouds), and that the Item 2 is unavailable (since it's the Item you get after killing Airman), we need another weakness for Heatman, or else we'll have to start with him.

The weaknesses are the same. I wonder if there's anything faster than the Crash Bombs on Flash Man though... Air Shooter does the same amount of damage on him (if I recall correctly), and he can get hit THREE times with all 3 tornadoes. (so you don't have to wait until the tornadoes goes out of the screen to use again and you don't have to wait for him to go lower to get hit.). Quick Man is weak against no other weapon than the Buster and Time Stopper. I don't remember who's weak against the Quick Boomerangs... But my guesses would be Wood Man or Flash Man.

Seeing how hacked games are becoming somewhat popular (and accepted), I wanted to propose that hack: Rockman EXILE. It's a remake of Rockman 2, all the levels have new tiles, new music (well, mostly music from other Megaman games), the bosses are harder, have new patterns, the weapons you get have been tweaked, etc. Bisqwit and some hardcore TimeAttackers might have seen the little demo FinalFighter did on his website. I think the game has a lot of potential, and we could give it a try. The name of the rom is: Rockman EXILE (Mega Man 2 Hack).nes. (Well, that's how mine is called, and if you guys have the NESRen pack, it's in it.)

Well, seeing a WIP would help, we could look at it and propose ideas.

Same here, my DQ2 rom seems corrupted... I tried with FCEU, VirtuaNES, VirtuaNES (J): nothing.

I think I read somewhere that you had to wear the Gold Armor, and the bracelet will be in the 4th weapon chest (chest that normally contains a weapon) you open, or something like that.

Haha!! Awesome!! If the rest of the new run looks as TIGHT as the beggining, it will be AWESOME.

I recently finished it, and planning the best route might be a little hard. But there's no leveling, and bosses are super easy. Be sure to grab a Banana!! As for bugs, I think I've experienced some weird stuff with the Raft... I'll have to check that out.

Yeah that's what I'm saying, don't stay at one point in the game and do a trick. I say use the route that will give you the most points, without completly stopping.

How about getting your last points by killing Bowser? You could take the road you want, but you'd have to be at 999,999,999 when Bowser is dead. So Flutes (whistles, recorders, whatever) will be useful.

"Je fais un time attack", well that's how I say it! "une time attack" sounds wrong. Yes, I'm from Québec.
