Hello. I know this is a bit of an old thread/submission, but I think this should be revisited with the new rule changes and class system. I find this run to be pretty entertaining, including the constant jumps. I think this TAS was very well made, and I'm giving it a yes vote.

This is cool! Do you think maybe we could have videos with the audio from each game? As in, one video for Silver, one for Crystal, one for Yellow? I know we have one for Crystal, but could we have videos of the other two? I am blind, so I can't tell what's going on in each game, but I've memorized what happens with the audio of gen 1. In any case, yes vote!

Nice work! I find it interesting that this TAS uses BizHawk instead of FCEUX, as FCEUX has more accurate sound emulation in general, and I am completely blind. I actually enjoyed this run, and I can't wait for a TAS of this on FCEUX!

Probably. SMB3 worked on console, so probably. No resets or power cycles were needed.

Hi. I was actually not expecting this submission. I thought that it would just go on the userfiles. I am completely blind, and I actually needed help with some of 4-2, 8-2 and 8-4 for this TAS. I enjoyed making this TAS, but I don't think this should have been submitted for publication. Because I am one of the authors, I will not vote. However, if I hadn't made it, I'd give it a no vote. I did enjoy making this run, though.

The hack is actually available on Acmlm's website, if you click the link in his video description. http://acmlm.rustedlogic.net/ips/SMB1fast.ips

I don't see how this movie was published through an abuse of power. I'd say this was published for being the fastest completion of a track at the time.

Thank goodness, the ban has been lowered to the original time. However, even 3 months is too much. He was trying to tell the truth about what happened in the thread, saying who said certain things. This was not meant as an attack on anyone. He was not trying to be disruptive; he was trying to address the omission in the rules.

I think when HappyLee brought up the true ending, he was referring to the fact that The Mystery of Luigi and Extra Mario Bros have two endings.

He was not trying to say it was to screw him over. He was saying that it happened. Also, HappyLee2 sounds fine to me. With HappyLee setting the bar so high for SMB runs, it doesn't make sense that he'd be banned indefinitely for something like this. I understand his points, and he wasn't trying to say anything bad about the staff. With him being banned, I am actually thinking about leaving the site. I'm not sure if I will yet, but I really wish he hadn't been banned.

He was not trying to attack others. How was there any bad behavior? He was pointing out what others did, not to attack them but to explain what's been going on in the thread. While he hadn't stopped yet before the ban, I'm sure he would have stopped soon. Creating alt accounts is actually a good thing. I'll give you an example of why, though it's not directly related to TASVideos. On Discord, there's a bot called Myuu, and once you start the game on one account, the only way to start from the beginning again is to create an alt account. That's not a bad thing. What was the name of his alt?

HappyLee being banned? That's a bad move, I'd say. He has created many wonderful TASes and set the bar quite high for SMB TASing. It's ok to disagree with the rules, and he didn't mean to attack anyone.

Nobody posted twice in a row. There's just one post from each person, aside from replies.

I know that the Stairs Glitch is where you climb 70 stairs and certain things happen. For a credits warp, you need to get 56 houses, 57 heals and 201 Pures (the way to get 201 is underflow the pure-count and drink 54 in battle.) Use down to 32 houses, save only with the last one and jump to your inventory (with a code) to get the credits rolling.
Sounds like you have the tools already with the pastebin and the notes and stuff. Here's a video of an RTA playthrough of the credits warp route so you can visualize the setups. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eo0CtjU_T_c
So, the run has been taken down. Where's the pastebin again?

Hi. I have a couple things to say about this TAS. The previous TAS was rejected for hack quality. I understand why this decision was made. Although this was a very nice run, I have a feeling like the same decision will come through with this submission. I am still giving this a yes vote, though, as it beats all existing warpless TASes of this hack, and I still enjoyed this run.

It could be that the GBA version has a bios to go through, while the DS does not. Maybe that's why copying them over doesn't work.

That's a real shame. Why doesn't it work on 2.6.1 or even 2.8? They have the bios screens, too.

It's not playing on earlier versions of BizHawk, either, like 2.2.2 or even 1.11.8.

Hi. I would like to be able to play this TAS back. However, I can't find the version of BizHawk used for this run (page not found error), and I can't play it on BizHawk 2.8. What do I do?

I'm noticing a few issues for all the games I am trying. I can't post audio files here, but I can post the files on Discord to show what I'm talking about. In Punch-Out, the voice sounds a bit different than it should, and the counting speeds for are a bit fast compared to the actual game. The sound when an opponent falls is like the NES game instead of the arcade one. This also applies to Super Punch-Out!! In Super Punch-Out, Dragon Chan's kick makes a sound that isn't even emulated on MameHawk. Finally, in Arm Wrestling, the laughing when you miss the money is faster than it should be. I can't post a comparison for that one because I don't have the original audio recorded directly from the game.
