I honestly don't think a new content warning thing is necessary. People can read the description, which usually says what the game is about. If they don't read the description, that's fine. They can still look up a description of the game and decide whether to watch it.

Great TAS, yes vote! While I am completely blind and can't see the game, I can tell a lot of time was put into this.

Hi. Welcome to TASvideos! This is a great start, but it's suboptimal. You can modify the original game end glitch TAS to save about a minute, but even then another two minutes can be saved by using SubNESHawk and using autofire to press buttons as fast as possible. I made a userfile to demonstrate this.

As was the case with SMB on SMW, site rules dictate we cannot link to ROMs and as such we also can't release the full payload for the same reason, we'd be in violation of the site's rules if we did. Instead, we've released the open source portions, and those have been independently verified.
If you can't link to roms, and a payload in itself is not a rom, it doesn't make sense that the full payload can't be released. Same for this submission.

I thought it was fine before. The game can still be completed with warps, which is still good. I tend to prefer warped runs over warpless ones.

I've never heard of thi game, but wow it's fast. Quick quetion, though. Doen't the NES run at 60.0988139 fps? I'm confused because the submission page says the frame rate is 2269.7553711, much faster.

Nice work, yes vote! Quick question: why don't you talk to more of the trainers? In the original R/B, you can actually talk to most of the trainers iirc. Also, would Nidoking be a good main for this game?

Surprised this wasn't submitted, it beats the current USA version TAS by 7 minutes.

Hi, nice TAS! Yes vote from me! FCEUX isn't actually that bad in terms of accuracy. Starting from version 2.3.0, it emulates audio better than NESHawk.

While I don't really like how the music changes speed all the time (or that they changed the pitch of the sounds and got some notes wrong in the music), I think this still deserves a spot alongside the 35th anniversary game on the NES.

Hi again. This is also a great attempt, but like before, this does not beat any existing records. The user files area is the best for uploading these kinds of movies. Instead of clicking on submit movie, select " Upload a User File" from the front page. I am giving this a no vote.

This is a great first attempt! However, it's suboptimal. First, the start press is delayed by a long time. 1-2 can be improved by a framerule with better clips. 4-2 can be improved by dropping the walljump. In 8-1, a flagpole glitch can save a framerule. 8-2 can be improved with a faster BBG. 8-3 can be improved with either a 244 or an FPG on 242. 8-4 has frames to be saved everywhere. While this is a solid attempt, it does not quite meet the sandards for publication. I'd suggest posting your attempts to the user files first. Even then, there is almost no way the current published TAS can be beaten.

Saved some time on Sandman, also redone on the correct rom. Could someone please update the movie in the submission?

I don't think that would be very doable, since a much shorter intro means the RNG would probably be different. I'm already on Bald Bull 2, so I should be done by the end of the day.

Oh, I thought both were correct. I'll redo the TAS I guess.

Which rom version did you apply the patch to? The original rom I used was Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! (U) (PRG1) [!].nes, but Mike Tysons Punch Out!!(Japan, USA) (Rev A).nes also syncs fine with the patch applied. Also, I patched it using the patcher that comes on Romhacking.net when logged in, don't know if that makes a difference or not.

The knockdowns in the Mr. Sandman fight are to get Sandman to throw his 3-uppercut move when I get up. This move allows me to deal the most damage in the shortest amount of time, which is also why this is used in the original game.

Hi all! I am new here and came to ask a question that intrigues me a lot. In the current WR for the Any% run (https://tasvideos.org/4329M), when the character appears home and the Pallet Town music starts playing, you can clearly hear 4 notes (D-C-B-A) before the system is reset. However, in the previous best run (https://tasvideos.org/4288M), you can only hear the first 3 notes. This caught my attention since, intuitively, at this point of the run you have only completed the initial dialog, and there should be no fancy stuff to explain why it's faster to delay the reset for more than a tenth of a second. I compared the two files from both runs and found no special difference in the inputs up to that part. Then, why can we hear the song for longer in the current run?
Hi. Very good questions. From reading the submission comments, it says that he moves a step down before saving this time, while the other one moves down after the save. Because of the change, one more note (the A5) is played before saving.

Man, the sound quality is low. Why did the sound fade out in the middle?

I'll leave a 4 minutes WIP here up with what I finished so far. Link to video Hi. I know I'm 9 years late or so, but I'm really interested in this game right now, but I can't access the video. It says it's private, and there's no WTF file available. Is there any way you (or someone else) can finish the TAS to submit it? I am blind (literally), so I am unable to help.
