I don't think this or the published movie is a game end glitch. The ending music doesn't start at all, but it does for the other (now canceled) submission. Since I can't see, the music is all I would have. The end of the video still has the town theme playing.

While this is a pretty good goal choice, I have to agree that it's arbitrary, and similar in quite a few areas to the regular runs. I'm giving it a no.

It seems like most of the description (and categories) were copied from the previous movie. However, this is Red version, and it uses save corruption rather than forgoing it. I just thought I'd say this...

It's really a shame IRC was moved... I understand that a policy was updated to have less bans, and hey, less bans... actually a good thing! Nobody would use hate speech in this kind of community, or talk about unlawful activities, so that is a good thing they removed the ban for those things. If they think certain things are cancel culture, fine. They can think that. Mocking and punishing the staff is not fine, though. That's one thing that makes me support the move. However, it's ok if they aren't open to criticism. Sometimes, even I struggle with taking criticism. I've found impersonations before, and I've been ok with them. However, the intent was not good. I just think that with less bans, it could be a better time. I do understand the reasons why the migration is happening, but I just wanted to put my view out here.

I don't think that's necessary. It even says as an objective in the submission text, "Does not use arbitrary code execution, arbitrary ROM execution, nor arbitrary memory corruption." In the PSR video, it says is does not. Because of this, I know it does not.

I'm sure that we are all capable of being polite and concise, while saying what we disagree about. I don't feel like anyone is being combative here, and I believe it's fine to ask questions because someone doesn't understand something.

While I am a little upset about my submission not being as fast as possible (and the fact that I didn't do the actual TASing which would make me an author), I am happy that there's a faster set of names here. Yes vote.

pirohiko may have found something related to faster name entries so-- welcome to the eventual frame war I guess.
This has come as a "this came out relatively quickly after the RTA record was approved" kind of comment... which isn't the first time something like this has happened where a new strat was found and a TAS with no refinement or exploration was submitted not even a month after discovery.
I actually couldn't find anything else to improve this one, even after the 5 frames.

Wow, I was not expecting that... I use FCEUX 2.3.0 because of the accuracy. I know that the sound is more or less the same for FF1 in BizHawk, but FCEUX gives me more audio information for frame advance.

I'll cancel this due to the sync issues and make a new thread for discussion of a run on a more stable system. I'm not quite sure which forum to put it in, though, since this game has been ported so much. Maybe Other Games as a start and take it from there?
