JXQ, sorry to say, but DK64 hates this run. <insert big image of irc window here>
There's a story behind that (which has been resolved), but suffice to say that I won't be watching or voting on this run since it doesn't interest me.

Nice improvement to a run that I don't really enjoy as much as some others, but I appreciate the amount of effort involved in obseleting a behemoth of a TAS such as this. Voting a luke-warm yes. Good job Deign.

Ugh, I hate those up+down or left+right glitches. Unless Nintendo ever officially released a controller that let you push both those directions at once, it will always be hardware modification (or, in this case, "breakification") in my eyes. Eh, whatever.
Sorry to go off topic, but: our very own skamastaG has something to say about this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=6uV3RGBe5vo . Also, theoretically, if you press l+r at a faster rate than the game samples (let's say the game samples data at 60 Hz, and you alternate pressing l+r at 1000 hz), you should register both a l+r on the SNES. This is not a hardware modifcation either, just superhuman input. Back on topic, I liked that arena run :D. Beating lololo and lalala was awesome, like two kamehamehas and special beam cannon!!

Not being very familiar with the game, I found parts of the movie entertaining, however it got repetitive. The baseball game was funny, the redeeming part of the run. Player/Item stacking is fun, is it possible to do: player - trashcan - player - trashcan - boss - trashcan? The whole idea of creating a movie that is entertaining, with almost a complete disregard of speed (yes, you beat the game faster than I would have been able to, but that's beside the point), is a nice idea. I can't re-iterate enough how much I liked the MKII/Killer Instinct play arounds. I hope to see more movies like this in the future. That being said, I gotta take the middle road and vote meh. Sorry guys.

Nice wip Sami! Everything looked very nicely optimized. I like the little deathwarp you did at the end! Favorite part was probably the spinning crocodile in the eating contest! That was hilarious!

Are you going through that phase right now? As for me, I like Montery Jack and Swiss on Sandwiches, Cheddar/Colby Jack on baked potato, and a random hard cheese (provolone?) on pasta.

OMG that video was awesome! I can see the super speed getting tiresome, though. 5 minutes was perfect time to show off this glitch.

The main issue is getting the screen to scroll high enough so you can clear the first immense lava hill. Without the shell/yoshi/cloud/spring/vine, there's no way to get the screen to scroll (to our knowledge) without losing flight. And there are no grabbable objets that can help us in that level.

You should watch the demos at the end of the submission text.

So, Dumbledore was gay? So we have homosexuality and magical witchcraft to piss off those fundamentalists?

I care. In fact, it might even be significant enough to affect my vote when this movie ends up on the Workbench. <_<
Right, like that's going to convince him :S.

it's almost always the reason. i never vote no on anything because i never watch movies of games that i haven't played because they are boring. so, you're trying to say you're sorry huh=?? i don't forgive you ahahahahahaa
Actually, if you did read what I wrote, I have played this game, just not the single player. I have also played a number of bond shooters befor. I was expecting it to be more like quake, crazy action with rocket jumps etc... But what really annoyed me was the necessary camera work. I dare-say that this game is not suitable to TASing... IMO. If a movie is very popular, and I haven't played the game (much), I will make an effort to see what the fuss is about. And if I was not entertained, then so be it.

Honestly the bad camera really makes me not like this run. I want to see what's going on, the looking at the floor technique made me vomit, and the strafing (I dunno if that's what you were doing) made me annoyed. Is the constant sideways walking faster than normal travel? Something similar happens in Jet Force Gemini, but it's less annoying there. I'm not familiar with the game at all, except for sucking at playing mutliplayer with a few friends on random occasions. I dare say I don't know enough about the game to make a decision. But I will vote. I'm sorry I was not entertained, and sorry if not understanding the game is the reason why I wasn't entertained. I'm voting no. On a positive note, what you did looks nicely optimized, and it looks like a great milestone was finally achieved. For that reason, I want the movie to be published, but that's not the question in the poll, is it? Cliffs: Good job, but not my cup of tea.

I guess I was the odd one out. I saw Morimoto's SMB3, found a link to Arc's Superplay website, watched cupstacking, and then masturbated to Friends reruns.

I am voting yes, only because I voted yes on the previous submission. A few frames here, a few frames there is a good improvement, but if the previous submission hadn't been cancelled (and subsequently published), and this submission was to obselete that movie, I would have voted meh.

This wips was awesome! I think if this sort of quality continues to be present in a new run, you will blow away the naysayers (most of them) from the last run. Good job! :)

<DK64_MASTER> Comicalflop, you realize that some of the camera angles in sm64 are necessary to reduce lag, right? <Comicalflop> yes, some. <Comicalflop> some. <DK64_MASTER> so you cannot have bullet's 1 and 3 fullfilled at the same time <Comicalflop> I can. <Comicalflop> because the camera angles are stil horrible in non laggy parts <DK64_MASTER> [bullets 1 and 3] two cannot stand together IMO <Comicalflop> they can and I won't be truly happy until they do. <moozooh> haha

How fast do you travel by getting hit by a homerun bat (or luigi uppercut or Jigglypuff's rest) in Super Smash Bros at 999% damage?
