Very impressive (downloaded a few). You have some real talent. Maybe one day you can make a spoof about TASing. ;) Are you trying to get signed by record labels, or something? Or is this something you do in your free time?

I do believe the question was not whether it would be feasable for the run, rather whether the cutscene would play when one takes the exit for the silver gauntlets.
Eh, it doesn't matter either way, AKA is correct. It doesn't matter if it plays or not, it's probably gonna take longer. Getting Farore's wind wouldn't help either right? It would take too long? Just throwing some ideas out there.

Cool, so it works, hopefully. I guess it might be annoying for you to do, but hopefully you can use the plugin to help you. You can create macros, right?

Exactly. I used inequalities to show that I was emphasizing that bounded operators will be sufficent for this scenario. Now someone do it without using a bounded operator (i.e.your operator needs to work for any type of REAL vector space, and should not produce bounded ouput). Any volunteers? ;)

What about cos(x*y) > 1 or a simple sinc(x*y) > 1 (or in fact = 1, but sinc(0) = 1 in most cases, although it should be undefined) or e^(i*pi*x*y)>1 As long as something operator has a bound, an equation with 2 variables, and 1 at least constant should be able to be false for all values of either variable, as long as your variables are real numbers.

Very very nice. The graphics plugin also looks nicer, I think, but it's too bad that the menu gets all weird, for me, anyway. Seeing the last prerendered scene every time it's paused is kind of weird.
The ghoma cutscene actually looked pretty cool, with the red and black texture glitches, IMO.
As for the actual run, I'm not completely convinced that the part between slashing the sign for the blue rupee and getting down from that higher ground was ideal, but as a whole the rupee run was much better. I don't really know, the jumping pattern and path could be closer to ideal than I think, since I don't know the movements rates that well. And I especially loved the exit of the store to Mido route.
The only thing that bothered me was the jump in the water part, but it shouldn't cost TOO many frames, if any at all.
In the Deku Tree, the one part where you're rolling and jumping along the edge in that main room may not be ideal, but it probably doesn't cost much more time than either changing direction to backwalk/sidehop, or having to take a less ideal rolling path to not hop off. Again, I'm really not sure what's best, but those two parts stuck out in my mind.
Actually, in the first run, he basically did what you said, and it turned out to be much slower. He was backwalking diagonally in the test run, which is one of the slowest forms of transport. "Cutting corners by roll jumping" seems quite a bit faster. I'm not sure if balkwalking straight, chaning directions, and resuming the straight backwalk would save any time, especially since you are taking a longer route (no diagonals), and not even cutting corners. The roll jumping looked nice, very nice.
But I believe that there are some things that can be improved once you've jumped through the web. I don't think that you need to step on that switch if you don't end up using that flame, since stepping on the switch takes longer than landing next to it, I think.
I'm not sure what you are talking about. The switch that GB hits right after jumpslashing the web NEEDS to be hit. It's faster landing on it, because you are gonna take damage, and pause regardless of where you land.
Even if you don't end up looking into that, or if it doesn't end up working, it's still a very nice improvement.
You're telling me! In a ~7 minute run (including the initial cutscene), GB has saved roughly 1.5 minutes. That's more than 15 percent of time saved already! Granted, the rate of improvement might drop because the run after the deku tree was optimized a bit more, but we still have to factor in the BA+Ganon early into timesavers. The run looks amazing right now. Keep up the good work GB!

I really dunno. I think because it's the most prominent thing that one can remove from their body without too much effort. The reason we wear turbans is to conceal our long hair too.

i'm intrigued, what are the Sikh beleifs?
Good question. I'm not a very orthodox Sikh, so don't take this info with a grain of salt. We, contrary to popular belief, preach nonviolence whenever possible, although we were a war-founded religion (stupid moguls)... We were also one of the first and few religions to "revere" women, and treat them with respect. We belive in the 5 Ks. It's almost like a code of honor. 1. Kesh: Not to cut your hair (God made it, so why defile it). I personally cut my hair, as do a lot of Sikhs. 2. Kanga: Means comb in Punjabi (Sikh language): It's a symbol of personal hygiene (comb your hair). 3. Kara: metal bracelet worn on a hand: Symbolizes a never-ending link to God. I wear one. 4. Kaccha: oddly enough it means "boxers". It symbolizes humility, as you should wear proper clothes for proper occasions. 5. Kirpan: means dagger. Very orthodox Sikhs carry this. Rather than a weapon, it symbolizes self respect, and honor. It should never be used to instigate an attack, however a Sikh can use it in self defense. Obviously the kirpan has been under a lot of attacks, as kids aren't allowed to bring weapons to school, separation of church and state, etc. It is MANDATORY that an orthodox Sikh engages in "seva' or community service regularly. This often includes cooking/serving food at local temples, volunteer work, etc. I'm sure this is quite self explanatory. We don't believe in heaven or hell, per say, but rather spiritual salvation, and a link to God. Uh, I'm not really sure what else to say, as I know quite little about Sikhism. You can check out these links if you are interested: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sikhism http://www.sikhnet.com/s/SikhIntro

How do you get the jiggy on top of the mountain after hitting the witch switch (I'm talking about when you enter the level) without being a termite? Can you just get there normally using frame advance?
Yeah - somebody posted a couple pages back with a method for getting to the top by jumping/rolling/etc in the right places.
Oops, I missed that... Does this mean you can climb all slippery slopes? Without the talon trot?
No. You can get anywhere within a certain (large) distance of any edge of the slope. You cannot (for example) reach the first note door without Talon Trot (slope too long) or enter Gnawty's lair in the summer. (The back wall of the tunnel blocks the technique.)
Isn't the mountain slope (the entrance to the first level) a lot larger than the first note door's slope?

Use Jabo 1.6, as there are less graphical glitches, and fast forwarding actually works.

Thank you so much. It would be great if you could create an AVI whenever GB releases a WIP. Ok, comments about the run... AKA once said that has been able to collect rupees such that you don't need to go behind the shop. He was able to get 2 blue rupees out of the bushes, or something like that. However, this will save a few frames, if any at all. All in all, a great run, and it's amazing how you saved 30+ seconds on your run!

BKDJ, have you been able to view the run so far? Do you mind volunteering to be the resident encoder? Don't do the first one, unless you want to, as GB already provided an AVI for us. It's hard to give feedback if you can't view the run.

All other plugins work pretty much ok, except for this one. Well, the old version of Jabo has a lot of graphical problems, but at least it runs. Does this plugin give you more precision, or something?
