ZFG has found some mysterious warps in Majora's Mask. Now, I'm not sure of the details, but a video should be coming soon, meanwhile you can read lumps of text here:

NTSC NES runs at 60.0988 FPS, not 60FPS. All times are wrong
Sig figs, my friend, sig figs. To add some content to this joke post, I would say that the times we use ARE accurate according to the platform they are made (emulators). The emulators are just inaccurate. Movie times aren't wrong. The emulators are.

We have a little sandwich toaster (like a waffle iron) that can grill a sandwich to perfection. A personal favorite of mine is putting garlic mash potatoes, corn, and hot dogs (chopped) between two pieces of regular white bread, toasted till lightly brown with this machine. I can eat about 4 of these (8 pieces of bread), and have a huge smile on my face.

I voted for super mario 0 star, just because I thought it was a shoe-in for winning. I didn't really think too hard about my vote. Honestly, I think the Super Mario 64 1-star TAS is more deserving of this honor. And if I were to re-vote, I would change my vote to Super Metroid, because I like giving the underdog a chance. However, if voting was between Super Metroid and the Super Maroi 64 1-star TAS, the latter would win by a long shot.

That sounds devilishly delightful.

I was just talking to mushroom and Boltr, and I would definitely like to try a sandwich with mushrooms and bell peppers in it. But then the ideal sandwich is becoming more and more like a pizza.

Ok, there have been worse topics in this section. I actually think this topic could be pretty fun. What is your ideal sandwich? Food items only (no money/women sandwiches). I have 2 (ingredients are listed in order of importance): 1) Bacon and cream-cheese stuffed into a croissant 2) Bacon, grilled chicken, Ranch dressing, mix of melted swiss/cheddar, lettuce, tomato, thinly sliced red onions, a few pickles, pepper, 1 habanero on wheat french bread grilled to perfection. There's a sandwich at Subway (Chicken & Bacon Ranch) that comes close to this. FYI, I hate mustard, bbq sauce, mayo, and relish.

What I'd really like is to try out a bunch of awesome sandwiches that I've never tried before committing to something. They'd probably all include bacon though.

Thank you gocha! :D I'll be bold here. I would love some sort of basic-bot, built in interface to monitor ram values and control input. I'm not sure how much (if any) of arithmetic parser can be used for snes9x, but hopefully it's not too much work. Side note: one thing me and adelikat noticed was that basicbot for FCEU did not save the "best result" from a basicbot run, but rather displayed it on a GUI. Miau made a temporary fix for us and just dumped the "best" to a text file, leaving us to hex-edit in the "best" in case basicbot crashed, but at least we had something to work with :).

0-star feels is a great run, a landmark of what TASing can accomplish. However, I would have given Mario 64 more consideration if it was a highly optimized 16 exit run (I'll love to see that). In the end, I vote for Majora's Mask, which is probably a bit suboptimal (Mukki is supposedly working of a version 2), but if you consider how the game was supposed to be played, and compared that to what Mukki savagely did to the game, you get an amazing cadence of WTF!, HOLY SHIT!, and GOOD GADDAMN! Congrats Mukki, thank you for beating one of of my favorite games in a timely, impressive, and amazing manner.

Adelikat continues to impress me over and over again. Randil was an upstart, Baxter is just a crazy mofo, and Cardboard TASes better than julmust in June. In this case, # of tases is the deciding factor. Adelikat wins, despite him having a large number of partner TASes.

My vote goes to Cardboard for the sheer magnitude of his effort and quality in each of his TASes.

As much as I like Cardboard, I gotta vote for LADX. I haven't played any of the other games, hence I wasn't really interested into TASes of those games.

Nice find! Random question, I'm not at my computer right now, but what about trying 1/-1 with an item in a non-water level?

I always loved The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I think I recommended it before in a previous thread. For the adventurous, I say you should try out House of Leaves, as this is probably one of the most interestingly formatted books I have ever read. Upthorn "recommended" it to me. Also, people have called me crazy, but I love The Silmarillion even more than Lord of the Rings. The battles are frequent, epic, and grandiose. Too bad the book is more like a collection of notes, and would have been quite a read if it was completed as Tolkien wanted it to be. These books are probably defined as mainstream, but very few people I know have read them.

Nice to see some glitches. Not nice to see them 10 times per level. The run doesn't flow well at all, and I found it boring. It looks like it was played well, for the most part, but the game choice I found very bleh. The part where you move slightly left and right to make the screen scroll is very stupid in my opinion, and takes away a lot of the flow. I also hated waiting for the koopa. This reminds me of Michael Fried's Mario Kart 64 Mario Raceway single lap TAS. A noteable accomplishment, but not worth publishing on the site. A no vote.

This was better than the first run you did, but I still think a better job can be done. JXQ summed up the improvements nicely. This run was better than your smb3 glitched run (in my opinion), but still not good enough. I'm voting no.
