No one has answered me yet about what the warp glitch is.

What is the warp glitch you are referring to? Also I know it doesn't work with the site's guidelines but I think the run should end as soon as Excalibur II is picked up because that is when the challenge ends then you have all the time in the world and what I'm most interested in is the time you clock in when you pick up the sword.

Glad to see someone else has interest in the run. All though I have to disagree with FFIX being tedious to play normally...

Moderator Edit: I've changed this topic to be the main Final Fantasy Topic I was wondering if anybody has had the idea of doing a run of this well known Final Fantasy IX challenge. For those who are unfamiliar with it " The Excalibur II Perfect Game is the ultimate attempt at completing a perfect save file in Final Fantasy IX. Contrary to initial impressions, the Excalibur II - obtainable in Memoria only within 12 hours of starting the game - and a completionist playthough are not mutually exclusive." I don't know how well the rerecording emulator plays this game but would be interested in seeing a PERFECT run of this challenge to see how fast it could be done with perfect playing.

So is there a route typed of the any% run swordlesslink is doing that I can see. One of the full game not just a segment of it. I always love reading the routes. Thanks.

I noticed in SL En Route to Kakariko he did the Owl skip. I was wondering if there is a video anywhere or if someone can post one of the rupee route getting the extra 10 rupees to buy the deku stick. Thanks.

Is AKA still working on the any% run for this game. If so how far along is he and when will the run be finished?

How far along are you guys? I wish I had taken damage somewhere as kid because when I become an adult I still have 3 hearts and it takes 1min to death warp three times of glitching through the wall. Not that anybody cares it isn't the "REAL" run but I am just saying.

Hey who is doing the door of time skip run? I think it is SL, AKA or both. If no one is working on one would anybody be against me trying to make one to submit. If someone has dibs I won't take it away from you. I just feel I am starting to get better at TASing and might have a chance and getting my first published run. I will start when I get a chance if no one is working on but I am pretty sure someone is. If so I will just continue my test run. If I do start one I'm not going to save warp and I will post WIPs periodically to make sure I am doing ok. Also would that soft hack to fix the pause menu be allowed? Let me know, thanks.

Yeah like I said I am probably going to change that save warp to a death warp and then repost. Thanks for the feedback. I will work on this more when I get time.

Ok as some of you may know I have been making a test run of OoT using the newly discovered DOT skip. I'd like to say a few things. I am not done. I am not the one making the run that is going to be submitted. This was done for a few reasons. Fun, I love OoT and always get excited when new glitches are found, get better at TASing etc. Ok I am posting a WIP. Two things. First I made the mistake of using the reset function of the new mupen, I might make it a death warp soon, but if you watch this you need that new mupen. This isn't ment to be 100% optimal as I said this is a test run for fun. I don't know why I am posting this really. Just bored thought I would give you guys something to watch. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1014267081/OoT%20any%25%20v2.m64

A.) go through the warp to goron city. Ascend death mountain (either climb the wall or seam walk like in published run, whichever is faster) then RBA for songs and play ZL and get magic. Then head to gerudo either from where you are (the fairy place) or play one of the warp songs and then get there from there. Once ther hookshot across bridge trade RBA play POL. B.) RBA for songs. Megaflip or hookshot onto bridge, leave into Hyrule Field. Superslide to gerudo. Hookshot across bridge. Trade RBA play Nocturn of shadow ascend death mountain get magic POL. So does anybody have guesses as to which of these is faster if the majority says one of them I will go with it. If it seems split I will test both.

I would like some feedback. Which of these two do you guys think would be faster. After getting Poacher's Saw in lost woods A.) go through the warp to goron city. Thanks for your help. If you know one would be faster I would rather not test.

You are probably right. Do you think it is worth testing both ways or not.

I think you could since it is a TAS manipulate luck on two bushes and that is 10 bombs right there.

It isn't that good of quality since when I started I knew it wouldn't be being submitted. Probably what you would consider a test run, maybe it is slightly better quality. If SL and or AKA wouldn't care I could post a M64 if you were curious. Just know I wasn't trying to be 100% optimal just making it for fun. Also can anyone answer this for me I really want to know. Coming from the lost woods is it faster to glitch on to the bridge (megaflip or hookshot) and Superslide to kakariko. Or is it faster to go through the goron warp and get to the top using hookshot and come into kakariko?

Not one I am going to submit or show anybody I know you, AKA or both are going to or have already started one. It is just something I am doing for fun. I have another question. Coming from the lost woods is it faster to glitch on to the bridge (megaflip or hookshot) and Superslide to kakariko. Or is it faster to go through the goron warp and get to the top using hookshot and come into kakariko? PS: I hope you aren't mad I am making a run. As I said I don't want to compete with you guys it is just for fun, I'm not going to post or submit.
