Yea I would like to co-author this game with a friend who is a master at this game. He knows everything about it. Only problem is that this game freezes a lot on mupen (as the above poster stated.) If anyone knows away around this let me know. Thanks.

I appreciate the help. I do however want help on how to make a AVI of long n64 runs that is small and good quality (like the published AVIs) Would I have to do the stuff DeHackEd said? If I do would it be hard to explain?

Ok I hope this doesn't make me sound stupid. I really wanna learn how to encode AVIs but in the place where it has tutorials for all the different emulator movies it doesn't have .m64 Let me know thanks.

On my computer glN64 is bad to the point that it can be hard to use for either watching or TASing. Is there something in the settings that would fix it because I don't have a low tech pc. The issue I am having is that everything that should be all black is all white and somethings that aren't even black are all white like inside of houses in OoT it is all white I can't tell what is going on. I would really appreciate if someone could let me know what causes this. BTW the main game when I am outside and nothing all black like the Z target bars are on the screen looks perfect. Thanks in advance.

It might be good I would have to see it to judge. The game is awesome though so I would probably like it.

I will probably just use glN64 so everyone can watch it. It doesn't look THAT bad. Either that or Rice 6.0.0

I would the only problem is that on my computer glN64 looks so bad that I can't even TAS. What about Rice? I wonder if it's pause is shorter the same or longer?

So I have two questions. 1. Should I continue using Jabo and lose a few frames 2. When manipulating luck from a bush. If you do not change your inputs will the outcome never change or do you just keep doing it again and again. The reason I ask is because I got the perfect angle for cutting this bush but the rupee never comes out. Let me know thanks.

I think I realized something and I hope I am not right because then I have to start over. I think that the pause menu takes 1 more frame to open when using Jabo's Direct3D8 1.6 than with glN64 v0.4.1. If this is already known I am sorry.

I wasn't able to beat him but I finally opened the chest containing the Kokiri Sword on the same frame as Comicalflop.

Just a friendly warning: I once was asked to help them (Phil & Baxter) with luck manipulation and from that/my experience, I considered it almost one of the hardest games to TAS. I kid you not. But good luck with your run.
So you think I should do it or not?

I could do a run of this right now if you wanted. I really want to do a run of a non n64 game for a change and see if I can make it optimized and published. I know that people are gonna do this in 2008 so if you don't want me to I fully understand I will look for another non n64 game to do. If you would like me to try could you explain how or where to find out how to do the glitch that will make the time faster than the current published run. If a route is already been made you could show me. If not I can come up with one. Again I understand that someone is gonna do this in 2008 but I want to try a non n64 game if you guys don't want me to do this do you know any games I could try I want one where the final run will be under 20min. I know that seems short but after submitting an ocarina of time run that didn't get accepted I wanna try something shorter and easier. I would post a lot of WIP and fix whatever you guys say I should fix. Let me know thanks.

I didn't say anything self pity like in that post. I honestly don't know how close it is to Comicalflop's (his run desychs for me) I guess I could check the frames. EDIT: oh I didn't see what you quoted.

I redid up to kokiri sword and got it 100 frames or so faster than my old one. So compared to my old one it is a good improvement. Compared to Comicalflop's? Not so sure.

If it isn't too much trouble I was wondering if you (mr_roberts_z) can post the 70 stars you are planning on getting. Thanks.

For the record I was never able to watch comicalflop's WIP it desyched as soon as he got control. After seeing it put up against mine I am embarrassed I even tried. I really don't belong on this site. I guess wanting something and trying your hardest at it really doesn't help if you are talentless.

New WIP. Not much to say about it just let me know what can be improved. Thanks. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1174341415/OoT%20v2.m64 Edit: BTW I tested both walking and rolling to the hole to replace the last side hop and both took more frames.

I know this has probably been answered and if so feel free to call me a noob. Is there a program I can use on windows that does the same thing as mencoder or is there a non Linux version of mencoder that I cannot find? Thanks.
