For example, the many failed superslides that the runner didn't bother to correct. Taking the Odd Mushroom out before reaching the counter. Pulling on a bomb flower in Dodongo's Cavern when there was no reason to do so. What reason is there not to have used re-recording to rectify those mistakes, when the whole point of having tools is to use them to eliminate human error? So, meh vote.
1. Anything you thought was a failed superslide was an owl skip bomb 2. For some reason the odd mushroom never worked 1st time I always had to pull it out twice while in the shop. I rerecorded so many times and then figured you have to pull it out twice 3. The bomb flower in dodongo's cavern was used for endless sword glitch Also someone on page one asked why I talked to king zora before bomb hover. I actually talked to Ruto and I used her to activate endless sword glitch to save a bomb. I never planned on this run getting published I did it really for fun. Then I slightly mentioned it in Mupen section and everyone asked to see it. I told them I was a newbie TASer but they wanted to see it so I submitted it. I think for not knowing how to use frame advance and for using so many less rerecords than the current published run and for being my first TAS and for just playing the whole thing with a N64 controller on 50% speed (most of the time) it is a decent run. As I said I know it is not perfect, far from it but I had it and people wanted to see it so I thought I might as well upload it and see what happens. I appreciate a lot of the criticism from you guys and I will try to become a better TASer so that my runs are more enjoyable. Also even though it isn't perfect if someone can make an AVI I would really really appreciate it (and other people have been asking for it also) if not I understand. But if you have the time it would be great. Thanks.

Yes I tried to make my name here P.DOT but it said I couldn't because it had a "." in it. I am known as P.DOT more places than I am known as DaShiznawz (it is my backup name when I can't use P.DOT)

Ok I will try and upload it today only reason I am hesitant is because I need to write the comments part. If I submit it will someone on this site who knows what they are doing make it into an avi for me I would really appreciate it. On the comments and explanation part how well does that have to be written? I will try uploading soon. Thanks for the help/support you guys make me wanna keep TASing and try to get better.

Ok I installed K-Lite Codec pack which had the x264. My question is. When I goto "capture avi" what should my settings be. I tried default and it looked perfect but the file was to big if I let it go for the full 1 hr 56 min it would be over 4GB which I heard won't play. Let me know thanks.

It is faster than the current published run by quite a bit but it uses reverse bottle adventure so it would be pretty bad if it wasn't. But again my speed run isn't what this post was about. I still need the answer to my AVI question. To the above poster maybe I will post the movie file in the OoT thread. Or submit it on the off chance it will get accepted and if not it will go to "Gruefood" Again I appreciate the interest in my run but I need the answer to my AVI question. Thanks a lot.

I am not good enough at TASing for my video to get accepted. This is only the 2nd TAS I have made. I am getting better though. Even if it did get accepted I know there are 2 people on this site working on making a TAS of the same game and they are both amazing and I am sure they will obsolete my video.

I have made a TAS of a N64 game and it is a little under 2 hours. I was wondering if anyone could let me know the easiest way to make it into an AVI that will be a reasonable size and good quality. I have Windows XP as my OS and I don't have extreme computer knowledge. I have made AVIs before by going "utilities > capture AVI" when I did that I used xvid but the movies weren't long. I have heard good things about something called H.264 but I am a little confused about how to use it and where to get it. Go easy on me I am little bit of a noob. Thanks in advance.

If you are gonna redo I have a question. Wouldn't it be faster in the Snowhead Temple after you beat the Wizrobe that gives you fire arrows to leave walk forward untill you can turn around hookshot the torch than bomb or bombchu hover into the tunnel with the big snowballs? I could be wrong I am not sure Just a suggestion.

I was thinking about bomb hovering back over him but I also was thinking about how many bombs I have and need. Even as it is I need to get more bombs at some point. Probably luck manipulation from bushes I ride through on Epona. Does anybody know how many bombs it takes to hover to fishing pond when you are an adult? Also I thought of something. You need to bomb hover as an adult and to bomb hover you need a sheild. Nowhere on the route does it say to get the hylian sheild. At what point would it be best to get it? Thanks!

Guys I found a problem if I understand the run correctly. Since we skip King Zora to keep letter in bottle into adult hood we death warp to kokiri forest after we beat Jabu Jabu correct? Well When you do that the odd mushroom you got from Gerudo Fortress turns into Cojiro.

I have another question. If you are gonna bomb hover past king zora to keep letter in bottle in to adult to give yourself arrows with Reverse bottle adventure. After you beat Jabu Jabu hw do you leave zora river to head to hyrule castle? Thanks.

Sorry to get you guys off topic about values and stuff. After Dodongo's cavern gets pwned we are suppose to go to kakariko and get cucco bottle. Could anyone let me know the fastest route for collecting the cuccos when entering from death mountain? Thanks.

Thanks. That is cool that you can go through the gate. I understand you get 5 when you get Deku Nuts. I know you get 5 from the right box in spirit temple, where do you get the other 5?

I know I have asked lots of questions but I have two more. If we get 5 Deku Nuts in the spirit temple but you said it takes like 7-8 to beat Ganon, where do we get the other 2-3? The route says after Dodongo's Cavern is beaten to get Kakariko bottle. How do you get from Death Mountain to Kakariko since the guard still hasn't opened the gate. I am guessing you either take the owl, or bomb hover over the gate. Let me know thanks.

Sorry about the breaks. I was talking about Dodongo's cavern, when do we use infinite sword glitch/bomb hover in Jabu Jabu's Belly?

All right I get it. I have another question. What are we gonna beat gannon with after he knocks the master sword If we use Deku Nuts like the current published run at what point in the run do we get the nuts? Also can you hit gannondorf with light arrows to hurt him when he is down? Because after the first light arrow if you hurt him with the sword you won't have bottle on B to get another light arrow. Also no one answerd my question above about when I play prelude of light after getting the medallions and magic after the light arrow cutscene there are bombs on B instead of bottle is that gonna happen or is there a way around it. Would it be faster to go from kakariko to lon lon steal epona then lost woods then lake hylia instead of Kakariko > Lost Woods > Lon Lon > Lake Hylia. Also the bomb bag early in dodongo's cavern is the bombchu hover glitch (-3 bombchu's leaving 2 for mini boss skip in Jabu Jabu) correct? If so what do we activate infinate sword glitch off of? Sorry for all the questions but I am really interested in this run. Thanks guys.

Wouldn't you have to do two death warps? The first would take you to the entrance of the spirit temple then you leave (see requiem of spirit cut scene) then death warp again. or do backtrack to the entrance see the cut scene then death warp?

When I play Prelude of Light after getting the medallions after the light arrow cut scene I have Bombs on B. How do I keep the bottle on B?
