I'm not familiar with the series, either, but I found it entertaining. Yes vote.

The National team made more errors than the American one. American were almost never behind, so the win at the end wasn't a surprise. In other words, this just wasn't entertaining, although the idea of setting up a computer vs. computer match might be. No vote. Also, Tengen should be ashamed for daring to make a baseball game without "Take Me Out to the Ball Game."

Having played this game many times on a variety of machines, I would like to point out that there is an option for in-game throttling, though I forget the hotkeys at the moment.
Quick testing on DOSBox shows that F1 increases the speed and F2 decreases it. I had completely forgotten about this, probably because DOSBox lets you change the CPU cycles, but now I remember using it all the time to slow the game down on a 486.

(The TAS might be acceptable if there's a reasonable "official" CPU model and speed at which the original game was intended to be run with, and then the emulator is set up to emulate exactly that.)
According to this page, the sequel lists a 386/25 as one of the requirements, so we could use those specs for this game as well.

I've seen and used subscript notation for that purpose. You can see an example here.

Is taking damage from that ball thing that you shoot around 0:17 unavoidable? Also, wouldn't it have been faster to take a few low jumps on those first conveyor belts opposing your direction around 1:30, like you did on the last one? Other than that, it's nice to see this game TASed, finally. Probable yes vote.

In the game, Warning Forever, some addresses seem to change values everytime I reopen the game. For example, the address 00467320, which decides the location of the boss's hp address, is different each time the game and/or the movie is played. Strangly, this doesn't seem to cause desync (yet). Is this supposed to happen?
It sounds like you've found the pointer to the HP address. This is normal behavior. I don't know the details of how Hourglass handles memory, but I expect that nitsuja and the other coders accounted for dynamic memory allocation when creating it, so you shouldn't get any desynchs. If you want to learn more about pointers, I think the help file for MHS has a good description.

Also, PSX ISOs are like 4GBs, if you download the wrong one now it's 8 GB. I can only download 50 GB/month, I can't be wasting capacity like that just to watch a TAS.
There are projects like Redump.org that attempt to catalog data about games on optical media in a way similar to or even better than Cowering's GoodTools. Maybe we should encourage authors to verify their dumps against those databases. EDIT: Enough with the Contra example, already. Encodes are now available ;).

Nice story, but it seems more a failure of computers than scientists, unless it's referring to the computer scientists.

"Spiritual successor" to Desert Bus that doesn't even break 100 hours? Surely you can do better. Voting no due to misrepresentation of product.

We'll never know. Too many records have been lost since A.D. 1785. EDIT: BTW, does this have enough testosterone for you, Vykan12?

Voting meh. It looks like an OK platformer, and the music isn't bad. The run doesn't stand out as amazing to me, but I haven't played the game. Seriously, though, is that the only use of books they could come up with? Also, are those 12 princesses in the other 24 minutes? I didn't see them anywhere except the ending.

I hate it when you order something that claims "Next-day Shipping" and then it comes two days after it was shipped. :\
It says next-day shipping, not next-day arrival. That means they put it in the mail on the next day.
