Could #7086: Dacicus's DOS Sorry Ass in 05:07.73 be published under the latest version of the rules?

Is starting at the top a limitation of this version of the game? That reference lists solutions with a shorter number of moves at other starting positions.

Since this implements someone else's solution to the puzzle, I think it is appropriate to at least name the solvers in the submission notes.

This could be legally bad for Microsoft if their OSes intentionally hinder productivity due to DST. Quick: Someone leak this to the press!

OK, so I know that there was some arguing about Desert Bus being too long, but can we at least agree that submissions must be viewable within a human lifetime?

Actually, the CD-i Zelda games ARE the best CD-based Zelda games by definition, because Nintendo never made any CD-based consoles- they skipped straight to Mini-DVD from the N64 to GameCube
Right, but there could still be only one of them as the first CD-i submission. To get back on topic, my question about the cursor is still open.

Not enough Zelda, voting No. Why did you choose Myst instead of one of the best CD-based Zelda games as the first(?) CD-i submission, btw? At around 1:40, it looks the wheel turns in the same direction despite you moving the cursor to different spots. Is there a point to moving the cursor?

Based on my experiences, the last version that does work on Windows 8 is 2.4.0.

I'm disappointed that the run uses the default name for the driver.

Besides, why would a movie with different stylistic choices but the same final time be published in a separate category?
Because what one person finds "stylistic" is what another finds annoying? Back to the topic at hand, I don't see why "Glitchless" would be considered unacceptable as a goal with a separate branch if "Forgoes Major Skip Glitch" is allowed, to use the wording from Wiki: Standard.

This game has interesting mechanics, but I find that they make the TAS annoying to watch because it looks like the screen is shaking briefly and then disappearing. No vote.

Does anyone else find there to be poor contrast on dark mode between the background and foreground colors of teletype text? Check out Wiki: GameResources/NES/WizardsAndWarriors3 or Wiki: TextFormattingRules#Emphasis as examples. Pink on dark grey doesn't stand out well, IMO. It's OK under light mode, but the site defaults to dark.

I think someone trimmed the decimals off of Movement Speed for each costume too.
Do you mean on the Resources page? The sub-speed values are the fractional/decimal part.

The Uzebox wiki has a list for that console. Flight of a Dragon might make a nice run.

Here I am to provide feedback, though I must admit that I've played neither this game nor the original Mario Forever. My impression as an uninformed viewer is that this seems like a rather boring hack. Is there some gimmick to it that I'm missing? It looks like run right all the time, except for that level where you also do some run left.

IIRC from streaming a 99-point "run" on Twitch some years ago, there's also a day-night cycle. Can't give you details, because I didn't watch the entire thing myself at the time, but I'm hoping it loops after 24 hours.

Seems like a pretty simple game, but the music was catchy. Yes vote.

The information in "The rating system" tab seems to be outdated when rating a movie. It talks about dropdown menus and hyphens, but there's nothing like that. How can I give [5332] NES Color a Dinosaur "four color theorem" by warmCabin in 08:11.72 the 1337/10 it deserves when the instructions don't even make sense?

I guess the important question to ask is 'is this physically possible to do outside of libTAS'
I second this question. These findings with libTAS are interesting, but is it actually possible to send the same input twice in a row on the same frame with real hardware?

My vague thought is that maybe there should be an upper limit on how long a TAS can be before it's automatically rejected
IMO, making a new rule to limit TAS length would be hypocritical after all of the rule changes intended to increase the scope of what's allowed in submissions.

Cause that worked out well for the Resident Evil 4 community for a much lower time.
The wording in that changelog makes it seem like runs that were too short would be banned.
