It's too bad he didn't fight the Lv. 6 fat boss, though, I remember having lots of problems with that fight. :)

Depends on how much difference in frames there is between an X-Potion and a Phoenix Down. :p

Is there a rule against bumping? It was really late last night and I totally forgot I was looking at an old topic. :p

This sure is nostalgic. I was scared to death just as I was when I was four, discovering the trick to level 11 at the end, after the mirror you. And your strategy for defeating the final boss was just brilliant. :)

I'm definitely gonna explore the possibilities this opens for Metal Gear Solid. ... IF I get it running on ePSXe, anyway. Seems to freeze before I even see the Konami logo.

This would OWN if it were made. FF3 is such a cool game. :)

All in all, we're talking about an RPG with lots of dialogue, should be a few seconds in the end. :)

I like the fan translated version more than the official translation for the PSX version. :p Also, wouldn't Japanese be faster simply because the language itself is much more compact, reducing the amount of dialogue screens?

Yeah, it seems like you have to wait long to use the Riot Blade. It's very impressive, none the less.

Vaguely interesting so far. Some things: you should walk in clean lines rather than swirly ones. This looks a lot more determined. Also, why did you let Lenna hit the last bat in the first random encounter? It only wasted time because Butz would kill it in one blow with his move. Then again, you could have just avoided that battle alltogether.

You're awesome. I'm gonna watch it right now. But which version of the ROM did you use? I'm sure I have it, but just for anybody who doesn't.

Somebody made a FF1 superplay, but I think he used an old version of VirtuaNES which is unavailable now. I tried watching it, but it desynchronised after the first battle.

I'd love to see a FF5 superplay. I once did a speedrun on that game and ended up with 7 hours 44 minutes. I also once played through it with max stats from the beginning and ended up with a time of about 2 hours. If the effects of killing every boss with one blow and being able to dash and use menus superplay-style cancel each other out, then you'd have a perfect movie of around 2 hours.

Brilliant run. There are some flaws, but still, this is just great. :) I hope you make another update soon. I do remember that I was able to kill Whelk before he went into his shell once, though. It was normal gameplay, too. I don't remember exactly how I did it.
