ever since that sonic 3 movie came out people have ripped other submissions (not only these sonic 2 ones, but other games too) to hell wanting perfection. i thought your last submissions were pretty good myself. sonic 2 is a bit slower paced than what 3 is but i did notice some problems. 1. sometimes you charge up a spin where it would be faster to run full speed 2. when charging up a spin, you seem to come out slower than normal. it might be just me but i seem to remember flying out of that charge like a bat out of hell. 3. when you fall off a platform only to run the other way (hard to explain) into a spring, try and slow down so you fall right next to it, or even better into it so you dont have to spend much time retracing your steps. having said that i'll now watch this submission to see if those things have changed. EDIT - having watched the first levels (up to casino 2 now) i gotta say i'm impressed. everything i mentioned has been done already. good work. love to see if you could get this under 25 min.

tried every rom that is avaliable and it still desynchs for me. you get past the first jump on the first track and you tilt foward to much and crash. things go wrong from there.

hmm i'm not sure what to think of this one. having never played this game (or the original before) ever, it might be just me when i say, while watching this run i thought "wtf is he doing that for? why not just do this?" some of the levels i thought were needlessly long. but as i say, hav'nt never played the games before i'm not sure how the mechanics works so i could be wrong. i'm sure a improved run could be done but for now its a good standpoint for others to beat.

yup i really liked this movie. having played the game when it was originaly made i know how hard it was. also had the displeasure (is that even a word?) of NEVER finishing it. that damn scar was always to tough. great to see it done so well. shame about the absence of the cutscenes though (if you even can call them that) yes from me

guess you could call SMS the ugly cusion of the nintendo that no one talks about and keep locked in the closet. everyone knows its there and that people like it but no one tries to get a good movie feature going for it.

i came across this on a forum i regulary visit and since i am a WoW player, i found this hilarious to watch. anyone who plays on a high population server/has read about the issues of queues sometimes 3 hours long to just get INTO the game will find this funny. http://www.leagueofpirates.com/sirvival/queuedance.html

bad ported game done well. far as i can tell the SMS version was a lot better looking and if we had SMS record (reliably that is) i'd do a run myself. voting yes since i doubt it can get much faster than this.

oh there is'nt one there? i thought there was. mabye im thinking of another level. *mumbles* could of sworn there was a protoman fight there... EDIT - ok my bad. protoman just lands on the seal and breaks it open for you. just a 5 sec or so pause.

yup i've done it and thats all you need to do. just make sure you slide far enough in so that when you jump, you dont get hooked by a pixel or 2 on the edge cuz you will stop and go through the usual fight scene.

not sure if were allowed to talk about this kinda stuff but i'm gonna check now if i can just load it up in my dvd drive and make an iso with alcohol 120% *cough* since i use that to make all my ps2 and xbox iso files. (er.. i swear i dont anyone who works for microsoft of sony) EDIT - ok that did'nt work. checking the dolphin forum for tools. mabye they know of an iso maker for GC games EDIT 2 - ok after a bit of reading, you need a gamecube with a network adaptor and a cable. you have to mess around with your IP settings and then get a few tools so when you boot up a game, you make an image of it on your pc. unfortunatly GC games dont run on dvd drives in a pc. bummer. so much for that then.

best snes rpgs IMO are the 2 seiken densetsu games (secret of mana 1 and 2 for the japanese impaired) and tales of phantasia. i just found this gem a few days ago and hav'nt stopped playing it. i love the battle system and hope the gamecube version i've bought is just as good. and yes i gotta agree that the BoF games were great as well. shame 4 and 5 were so bad. best one was 3 but thats for PS1. oh well, it deserves a mention

yup desynched for me in the last castle in the side scrolling area. after all that i'm really not gonna redownload the movie file and fast foward for 20 min to get to the last castle again. i thought the run was great with some of the boss fights being very cool to watch. however 2 things stood out to me. 1.) due to the long length, in addition to the single file run, mabye there should be a segmented 1-world-per-smv-file type .zip avaliable so people can just view the run through certian parts. 2.) constant jumping (to me) made the run a lot more less enjoyable as after the first 10 000 yoshi jump noises i started thinking (f**k this is annoying). i know your not gonna redo the whole run but this was perhaps the worst part of the run IMO. your playing was next to flawless as i did'nt notice even any minor mistakes.

well so far i've watched up to 3-6 and hav'nt seen any noticeable errors (at least not to me) however the whole constant jumping thing is really starting to get annoying lol. any reason why you did it?

i'm not sure what to think if this run really. i guess for me it falls into the "bad game played well" catagory cuz i really did'nt find this to be good game. the run was well done but i'm gonna be voting meh.

i thought this run was great and loved watching it. i was a huge fan of this series when i was a kid and spent many hours on it so i'm glad someone finaly did a run of the second game. i did'nt notice any major mistakes or errors that would slow him down, nor did i even see any minor ones. i'm voting yes on this cuz this was a great first attempt at this game. i dont see why anyone would vote no, even more so cuz they think it could be improved by like 10 seconds. i think this should be the first run that sets the time for all others that might come. personaly i think this run is about as fast as its gonna get. unless someone works out a new path that seriously cuts down time, i dont see this game being done any faster than 20 - 30 secs at most.

having never even heard of this game before, after watching it seriously reminds me of duke nukem. while at first i was unsure what to make of this game/run in the end i was actualy loving the music and thought there was a lot of cool stuff done in this run. that said i'm gonna vote yes simply cuz of the wtf factor that keeps you watching as its an interesting game. love your work on the teleporter thing too (i'm guessing thats what it is at least. the thing you use to go through walls i mean)

personaly i thought this run was pretty good. i never knew about this game and i think this could be a real interesting game to do some runs on. unfortunatly though this run had 1 problem some people will point out as an act of unspeakable horror. missed shots. now personaly im not a fanatic about this so they did'nt bother me much. IMO they make the movie seem a lot more real as if its really being played on a console but most people dont like this. i like the run the way it is and since its the 1st submitted run of this game i'm gonna vote yes cuz this was rather fun to watch. again though cuz of the missed shots people prolly wont agree with me. EDIT - forgot to ask. with the boss that looks like 3 giant junk blocks, why do you take so long to kill them? is there some stratagy for them that i'm unaware of? such as them being invincible for certian periods of time?

as much as i'd love to watch this run i cant. it seems my fceu doesn't like this game alone with Super Mario Bros. it freezes at the 1st screen of the game and wont let me move or do anything. just plays music constantly. shame too cuz i wanted to watch this run

yeah a 100% kill run would be fun to watch, though i'm sure at times quite hard when there is more than path you can take and monsters on each. interesting to see how that could play out though. btw still cant watch this movie. gave up trying to figure out what was wrong.
