Guess I'll explain myself... "The Usual Suspects" has a scene where Verbal Kint says "Keaton used to say he didn't believe in God but he was scared of him. Well, I believe in God and the only thing I'm scared of is Keyser Soze". It sums up my early relationship with God. I wasn't scared of Him, but I was scared of outside forces. As I grew, I saw the film "Inherit the Wind" and it altered my perspective. "ITW" is a retelling of the Scopes monkey trial with fictional characters. I won't spoil the movie for you, but the defense (arguing for evolution being taught in schools) was called "The atheist who believes in God" at the end. Sums up my outlook now. Thanks for your time again. :)

You beat round 21 so quickly that one of the silver blocks is still glowing in round 22. Yesness vote.

Dear Fabian, I'm an atheist who believes in God. Can you work out this apparent contradiction, other than realizing I've watched "The Usual Suspects" and/or "Inherit the Wind" too many times? Thanks for your time. :)

Dear Bisqwit: As someone who also has a strong religious faith, I'd like to ask how you begin and end your days. I used to pray a lot, but as I read more, I prayed less. It began to feel like vain repetition, and now I just pray when I feel a great urge to beg God for something. What do you think?

I'm glad to be obsoleted. :) I haven't watched it yet, but I'm sure it's great. Will download it tomorrow after dialysis.

Iceland is definitely one that I should have spent more time on. Spacing my throws more accurately could have given me more opportunities for OTG (off-the-ground) shots, but the ice was a pain in the patootie.

Why does the line "Ho ho ho we have your family" make me chuckle so hard?

What's the deal with saying you don't get power ups when you obviously do? Plus, the bosses should have been killed a LOT quicker. Voting no. I can't believe no one else has voted yet.

I've done Exodia once (it's one of the Puzzle Duels) and the animation for winning with it is LOOOONG. In any case, I think I want to stick to the Puzzle Duels *for now* as there's objective criteria for accomplishing that one (beat all the Puzzle Duels as quickly as possible).

Well the Puzzle Deck comes with pre-programmed decks... you're supposed to come up with solutions to puzzles. There's really only one quick way to do it. The Free Duels are different, I'm still thinking about how I'd do those.

Easy yes vote. Even though most Metroid fans aren't a big fan of Fusion, this is one of my favorite games and most favorite speedruns. Shouldercharging to skip the "unavoidable" missile pack is one of my favorite TAS moments. You get a star from me !

I'm glad to see a speedrun of this game in the version familiar to my childhood. Easy yes vote.

Well, I've kinda given up on this run now - realizing that, eventually, I'm going to have to use the gargoyle kills the fun. Bert is an utterly unfun character for me. And Prilosec has helped :)

It doesn't seem like an interesting idea for a speedrun at first, but considering that there's stuff like Vegas Stakes out there, I'm just throwing it out. Something like a 100% Puzzle Duel run might be interesting... or at least, I'd like to see it.

Yeah, the ending pissed me off. Almost made it not worth watching... "Yeah, Maxim and Selan are coming home soon! Just you wait!" I almost thought their spirits were going to just laugh at Tia before going away.

Thanks for the tips, Josh! A few things I found out in my last attempt to TAS Monster Party: -jumping and attacking is the best attacking option, because it stays out for a long time, continually hits and you only have one frame of motionlessness when landing from a jump; however, you have to hold a direction throughout the jump, or you'll put the bat away. Attacking on the way down with the bat is Bad (tm). -the main reason i'm putting off Monster Party is because of the damage taking; I'm not sure if I can beat the pyramid level if I don't have a lot of life, because taking damage there is a must to beat that level quickly. -Alternating A and B on each frame actually makes you stay in place while attacking which is awesome for stationary bosses; however, it resets the bat which is bad unless you're really high in a jump. I just completed the eggplant boss in my new run really quickly because of this. -Haven't tested with Bert, but the human is REALLY SLOW. Jumping makes you motionless for two frames and he gets a rather measly edge boost. I'm really not working on the run at all right now. Dealing with a rather nasty bout of something they call acid reflux disease. But I'll try when I have time.

I'm working on this one again, but it's coming along slowly because of 1. health issues, and 2. i'm not looking forward to the testing required to get optimal time.

1. Sonic 3 & Knuckles Icecap Zone - Skips one whole act. :-o o-: (nitsuja) 2. Sonic 3 & Knuckles Carnival Night Zone. - Skips almost an entire act. Equally :-o (nitsuja) 3. Sonic Advance - The whole damn thing. (nitsuja) 4. Metroid Fusion - Holding the shinespark to skip the so-called obligatory missile pack. (Megafrost) 5. Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! - Taking a punch from GODDAMN MIKE TYSON and getting up immediately. (adelikat) More later, these come to mind right away.
