Rough WIP of first 15 seconds or so, 1P Raph: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/2254/TMNT3%20test.fcm Tell me if I'm on the right track here.

The position you're in also seems to affect where (and in some cases, how many) enemies appear. I'm starting to have doubts on how well a non-Raph run could go, but I'm doing my best to check all possibilities.

Yeah, I noticed you had done some of the runs on this site. Nice to see you! How goes it?

Well, I tried left+right and up+down and other combinations, and it just makes the turtle walk in place. I'm doing a dry 1P run with Raph. edit: Walking diagonally is faster vertically than walking straight down/up.

I usually just have a random hot girl... however... http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/4892/dasrikdesktopxt5.jpg ...I'm having a problem with files on my desktop. Many of them are files I'm seeding on BitTorrent so I can't move them. Anyone have any advice for this?

Well, I did a very basic test, and it looks like, yep, Mike has the strongest special. The first boss dies with six hits of Mike's special. In comparison, it takes eight hits of Don's, nine of Leo's and ten of Raph's.

Thanks for the info, Baxter. I'm gonna run some tests; if it pans out, this might just be a Leo/Mike run.

Well... after some testing... it looks like 2-player is the best way to go. This could take awhile.

This is probably my favorite speedrun ever. Kudos and a cookie, nitsuja!

Yowza. It's like Bionic Commando with schoolgirls and without guns. Kudos. I also would like to see a 100% run...

Raph seems to be the obvious choice right now because he has the fastest special. Sounds right?

Steve has another trick, but I didn't get to showcase it; it should be in one of the WIP's (back when I was still playing Kenya with my second roster). His Uppercut Power Shot can do damage coming down as well. edit: About the flicker... I realize that this might get in the way of encoding into an AVI if it gets through. I wish I had the programming panache to do something about it. :(

This response is pleasantly surprising me. Thanks, everyone! Gengar: I know what you're talking about, but that's actually a glitch and only possible with one character, All-Stars' Paul. Since you can't use the All-Stars, I can't take advantage of that glitch. And yeah, I considered trying to work in an outfielder bop somewhere, but I couldn't justify it. :( JXQ: The lag is indeed irritating; I'm going to try the SNES and GBA versions later on.

I'm curious, has anyone attempted a speedrun for this? I tried searching for it on the forums and didn't find much.:)

It's a little sad, I was so hyped to do this, but after I'm done, it just feels a bit unimpressive. At the same time, I'm not sure how I can improve it. What do you all think?

The thing about Japan and Shadow is if you let them have the ball for any amount of time, they will pause, turn to Fuji/Sam, pass the ball to him, who will walk to the other end of the court then run all the way to the divider and do the power shot. It wastes way too much time. Plus, Team Shadow never goes very far over the divider, which makes it not worth it to try to counter them. So in other words, I could use a non-Blaster-all-day strategy, but they'd comparatively take forever. BTW, here's the finished move so far

Well, I finished the game (20864 frames), but I'm somewhat disappointed overall. Japan and Shadow team's AI are too difficult to manipulate and as a result it looks somewhat boring, unless you like Sam's Blaster shot hitting people again and again. I'll see what I can do and post it tomorrow.

I'm not feeling well, so the run probably won't be done this weekend like I hoped. :(

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/2140/Current%20Dodgeball%20movie.fcm Ignore the crappy Japan part. And yeah, I'm expecting to get pwned myself; but be forewarned that the AI is very tough to manipulate.

I finished China and Kenya. China was done quicker than India, but Kenya's my second longest match so far, mostly because Taha is tied for second most resilient character in the game, and manipulating him off the team takes too long to be worth it. Will post movie tomorrow afternoon maybe, hopefully I'll have at least done Japan by then.

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/2115/Current%20Dodgeball%20movie.fcm Finished India (showing off a really cool glitch) and Iceland. Iceland's time is 2204 frames, which feels bad to me, but I couldn't do much more about Helgi's AI catching all the best shots I had. There's a point where I could get a clean 9 points of damage off of Helgi, but it wouldn't give me enough time to turn around, hit Knut and then turn around and do the Power Shot again. There's probably room for improvement here, but the finicky AI isn't giving me a lot of leeway. I feel much better about India (1199 frames! Yowza! +155 over my last one!)

God, my notes are insanely detailed. I hope someone reads them once I'm done with this movie!
