The good ending requires you to max out the score, could take 4-5 play-throughs. The ending is totally not worth it. Brisulph did a play-through of the whole game, his reaction is priceless.

I have a feeling if you was at E3 when this was there, and you was able to do this TAS with real skill, I think they would of looked at each other and said, "We got to fix this... the game is way too broken to sell like this." Then they wouldn't of cared, since the game was finished and fully playable anyway.

Wasn't Lost Silver that one that gives you the Unowns that spell things out and a critter that knows flash, then you face a Celbee that's missing an arm and a leg? Also the sad pikachu? And eventually your trainer loses his arms, legs, torso, head, and says he's dead? Yeah, I saw that one, it's pretty creepy and if that's the one, I don't think it would be a good choice. Sorry, but it's mainly scripted out. If it is that, then I've seen it already, just nowhere near as fast as this, mostly because the one who did it was being guided by someone else. Plus it's considered a hack... Those need special permission anyhow.

That was insane. I can't really see voting anything other than yes. Unless I really didn't like the absolute breaking I just witnessed and wanted a full run. That's not what we are here though. Heck, even Megaman is like this now.

So this is where EA got all their lawyers from, the 3rd level of heck. Unusual game to be sure, I got done watching and said "What in the happy hell did I just watch?" Oh EA, I remember these days. Why do you do the things you do now? Even though you did things back then I didn't know about until now, I still want a good memory. Very fast, but feels kinda generic. That isn't your fault though.

I thought the character had a lot of personality for the age of the game. Flipping and flailing through the air, grabbing the zipping left and right platforms and holding on for dear life, rattling the cage he was trapped in while the elevators moved him around. I was entertained by the animations. The run, while a tad on the empty side (Patashu said the same thing, I agree.), is still a nice demonstration of something we would not of normally seen. It's a prototype, but I'll still yes vote it, it was short enough to hold attention for at least 5 minutes, and there should be some interest value for many people.

That was a great movie there, and from the replies calling for bullshit, it's definately sure that they don't know what they are dealing with. Of course, they cannot comprehend what they just witnessed. I loved every minute of it myself. I'd love to see more of these. Good work, and I will put my vote forward if I can remember to do it when this happens for you.

That's some impressive bit of faulty logic you have there. These games don't load the entire level data at once. They could have easily made Hocus Pocus a single episode with 36 levels without increasing memory demands.
Hmm... I wasn't aware that this game had loading from the HDD or floppy during the game. Most games I played in the DOS era loaded all of the game into memory instead of just single levels. Sorry that I'm an idiot about that, my bad.

By having episodes, the games could be longer without having to completely worry about that memory issue, plus they can make them pay to play.

This is an interesting look at another form of Castlevania. For some reason, I would of expected the castle to be more like this instead of the linear nature it usually is, more like the newer games we see these days, or a SotN style, but seperated by the doors. The run does have some slightly slow parts to it, but that is no fault of the runner itself. I voted yes.

This is an odd little situation here. The speed is a tad bit faster, BGM is faster while the SFX is slower. All because the game isn't exactly the same game, just shoe-horned in to making it work with a 50 mHz system rather than a 60 mHz system. While I was entertained because I got to see that flagpole glitch work more efficiently, I don't know if this is worthy of its own category or obseleting. Personally, I don't think it should obselete because it is like putting a normal kid against a kid who's been fed more sugar before a race, and seeing who comes out on top. It doesn't match up properly. Maybe if this run was a bit more optimized and everything squeezed out of it that we can (I do expect HappyLee to come in with that if this gets published, otherwise I do expect one on the way, he likes doing that) then I could confidently vote yes. Instead, I'm just going to have to vote Meh, not because it wasn't a good run, but because I can see a slightly better run coming in the future, unless this manages to disappear. Sorry I couldn't exactly support this (plus other, more active posters said it better before me...)

"Uses death to save time (no life is lost however)" What exactly happens at the end of stage 2?
He lands in the drink and loses all of his health, but since the stage's goal was completed, it triggered the next stage load instead of the respawn sequence. I think. Also, he didn't lose a life, his counter is the same. Anyway, once again, awesome improvement, hardly any holding back. Although I thought I saw something during that last level where you got snagged on the stairs near the end. Was there nothing that could of been done there? I'm guessing the momentum was not able to be preserved due to the bounce, but still a definite yes vote from me.

Gigantic improvement with no holding back. Definate yes vote for this.

I really love the whole 'watch on demand' feature that was added recently. The person who came up with that deserves a cookie of their choice (not that I am any such authority on cookie giving, but still). It is really neat to be able to view a TAS video without having to download it to the HD, but still have the option for offline viewing later. Very nice job.

Very quick and impressive. I find that using the shoulder buttons is unusual though, considering that they actually shouldn't of been programmed to do anything in a platformer like this. Jumping up walls was very nice, too bad that more levels didn't involve having to climb upward to allow you a faster time, but the instant acceleration made Pugsley very quick for a husky kid. I'm sure he could almost steamroll anything with that kind of speed. Ending is really pathetic, seems like they ran out of time. Thanks guys, I don't feel special for beating this game on the hardest difficulty. Yes vote. =)

This is the first Earthbound run I have watched all the way through, and I've never even gotten past the beginning part. Needless to say I was scared when I saw and heard Giygas for the first time.
Giygas caused a lot of fear and other strange feelings when he is seen for the first time. It is just the icing on the cake for the weirdness that is Earthbound. So your reaction is not strange at all. Giygas is just that messed up.

Egad! What an ugly picture! I haven't watched the movie, but I could guess that: a) He got a nasty bee sting to his face b) He learned a helium spell but forgot to target properly c) He's doing a Cartman impression d) Someone told him how good a job the TASer did and his head swelled up with pride. At any rate, he ain't fitting in a door anytime soon.

It crashes right at the point that it shows Mario standing to the left side and says it's tool assisted. The Bubsy one does it too. Edit: Bubsy runs on VLC, but I'll have to DL this one again to check it. Edit 2: After DLing this again, it works on VLC, but I would rather it play on my WMP so I can have it with my huge list of other videos (500 items and 236+ hours of TAS movies). But with that many, I need to weed out the old stuff and the things that I've had for a long time. Clear some HDD space too.

Did anyone else have a problem with the published AVI movie crashing the player it was used on? I tried Windows Media Player, Zplayer, and Nero Showtime, and all 3 caused a crash and error message to pop.

I haven't watched it, but usually what they mean by memeory watching would talk about character's movement speed, air speed, boss invincibility frames, etc.

Mine works, but it doesn't have any sound. Maybe they can update the file used and reset the download count?

I searched around on this board and was wondering how come this little gem has never been attempted? I usually got as far as Butter Bean, and he'd taunt me a little bit before knocking me into the mat and then taunting me some more. I found a rom of it, but I can't remember any of the special move codes, nor can I find a FAQ of it, or find anyone with an instruction book listed (just for sale...). Think anyone would want to take a shot at this?

This game is written by horrible people! We all know the crap about the media, how the games are causing kids to do things because they could in the games. Let's think for a moment if they were doing the things that this game here told them to do. "My older brother was mean to me, I'm gonna throw fruit at him." "Let's visit the prison yard and throw fruit at them. Oh no, here come some guards, I'll throw fruit at them too." The list just goes on and on... All that luggage in the airport terminal? Now I know where all the world's baggage has disappeared to! Ok, all this horribleness aside... This is a very good TAS based on what you had to work with. I do agree that the drops could of been a tad bit more optimized, but you have to be a stinking perfectionist to do things like that. I vote yes for this well-played, well done TAS on a game of pure rubbish.

Funnier still, did anyone ever see the box art for this game? Zomg, that was funny, scary, and dumb all at the same time. And the background surrounding the picture was PINK!
