Happened to come across a game end glitch TAS the other day that I had not seen, there are links to different glitches if you follow the nico links.
That was pretty cool, man! Thanks for sharing. Now, I still have trouble doing the super boost with a bomb; maybe any of you guys succeed where I failed?..... http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/67730397368927456

Maybe I should've used the super combo on the first level boss?.... Please comment "yay" or "nay" regarding the super combo. 'wanted to share something with you guys: a glitch that turns Abe into a square; YES. You read it right! (More information can be found in the description of the file) http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/63329986384742011 'seriously tried as usual to see if it was possible to optimize a TAS ... Although I know I don't seem to be able to execute some tricks; The Stop-Turn jumping back the glitch is a perfect example. ...But just because I can't do certain tricks doesn't mean I can't contribute in other ways. Unfortunately, I do not think that this bug can be used for any good purpose, more than for the lolz! 'think the game is freezing, from the second Abe becomes "squared". Do you have any ideas? Hi! 'can pick the gun with the foot. Did you guys know that? Lol, weird. I don't know if it saves time with any frame, but if nothing else, it looks funny. Then I try to find out if one can run through the wall in many more places, and if possible, how much time can be saved, if any at all. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/63269064086377669 Moderator edit: I moved your post here. Kudos, to you guys! I know very well how frustratingly painful it is to play this game; my empathy for you has move up a notch, when I realize how easy it is to create teams in the game. Holy Moly!! -nothing that I reflected on before. Is there any way to use the stopwatch more often? 'did a test run on this game. 'managed the boss Medusa with the stopwatch, and the whip. What do you think? I will return. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/63243739694891953 Moderator edit: I moved your post here. Please use the main game thread for discussing new research. — moozooh

Although McBobX's TAS on Goonies is good, I can't help thinking about how it could be faster .... The idea that I have is primarily: bombs. Although it may take some time to get bombs, I can't help but wonder if it's not worth it? Now, most of you guys in this site are much more intelligent than I am, at least when it comes to technical stuff, so maybe you might be able to see if this video I did, have the potential to be faster; all help is appreciated, and thank you in advance! Greetings! // Diman http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/55894437373940442 Oh, by the way, McBobX ; what's up with using the yo yo for every (?) jump? Lol, I'm just curious, man, and I'm sorry if it has been answered before, It is just that I have read through pretty much all of you guys' posts, and I couldn't find anyone that explained it. I don't think so either, but still; would be nice if someone could confirm this 100%.

Hi, guys! How are y'all doing? It's an awesome run, and I just wanted to share a glitch I "created" (?); I call it ghost glitch because he becomes white and grey, you know.... "Ghostlike"; I wanted to see if I could improve this run, but I couldn't make it longer than to the third screen (if you count with the beginning screen), anyhow, I got bored on failing to finish the first stage faster, so I'm giving you this glitch demo instead, lol. Here you go: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/55624172461237504 Moderator edit: I moved your post here. Please use the main game thread for discussing new research. — moozooh

'think it's about time someone post a reply. I did a very fast WIP where the movie ends a few seconds after he breaks the first door, Mr Haggar could probably make a lot of money working as a wrecking ball, lol. Anyway, it's a very short vid, and there are are two main reasons for this: 1. I wanna see if folks are interested in this, and in fact see if you are still interested; are you? After all, it took two years after you finally got this reply... 2. If someone finds a faster way to move the big guy, I don't want to, you know, put a huge deal of effort in vain; yes...! You can edit it with TASstudio, that's true, but it lags veeeery much, at least for me.... Which may be kinda weird, since my laptop is rather good. I hope this helps; now, let's see if someone give a damn, or if this game is a lost concept... http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/55513653416504789

I may have found a way how one can break this game even more!! I call it "mystical ladder glitch" because I spotted this glitch when the blob became a ladder, but maybe it's possible to glitch through the screen with him being another form, or maybe one doesn't need the blob at all?... Okay, basically I got a glimpse of this glitch; the evil king or whatever?.... Sorry, but I'm not very redpilled about the A boy and his blob saga. Anyway, you know what I mean; one can come to that boss (?) on the left; you know, from the very beginning as soon as he lands with his Blob friend as he's taken the form of a rocket. Now, sometimes I've managed to actually run in to that screen, and sometimes as you'll see in my recording, you only get a "peak" of the boss. If we only could figure out "the formula" what is causing this, we may have ourselves another project. Best wishes! http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/55467721387692360 Moderator edit: I moved your post here. Please use the main game thread for discussing new research. — moozooh

Good, now please reach the level end sooner than our movie does.
Yeah, or we cooperate with this. I have good and bad news; the most common is to start with the boring news... Okay, so the game seems to be very sensitive to glitches; slightest frame with an input it don't like, can cause the game to crash!! .... 'have no idea what's up with that, but it seems to be random. Now, the good news is that I have learned how to use TASstudio, so maybe one can bypass that. I recorded a run from first level to the second, just to give you an idea what I'm about. It would be nice with feedback. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/55466182383926603

Oh. Okay, I understand; I believe that's considered to be "cheating", thus they won't accept one's tas. I get a "Deja Vu vibe" that I have posted a WIP or a complete TAS waaaay back ago where I'm using this feature/trick, and it didn't get nice feedback. However, they may have changed this rule over the years?.... Once again would be nice if someone could confirm this.

Thanks for the reply, man!
RTA runners use a restart sequence to skip a portion of the game’s intro
Don't quite understand what you mean with the restart sequence, but I checked out Samsara's Splatterhouse video and I don't see anything of his/her video that's unusual either; am I missing something? Would be nice if someone here could confirm this. Diman's splatterhouse TAS-First level to the second http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/55463615523237144

'ready for a comeback? I just played in for the first boss. adelikat's run is powerful; says a lot that this video has been posted over ten years ago, and is still hot. I still haven't learned how to program macro, but I've learned TASstudio; where one can set inputs for different buttons, and make the ship fly in circles and make other lovely movements. What are your take on this, guys? http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/55462499292561747 Moderator edit: I moved your post here. Please use the main game thread for discussing new research. — moozooh

Just like a posted in the published Double dragon 2 vid, I found a glitch with the same principle: by using auto fire and up, down, left, or right you become pretty much invulnerable. I wonder if this can be an useful glitch?.... This recording was supposed to be called "Diman DD3 glitch test first level", or something along those lines, but I had uploading problems for whatever reason, and when it finally got posted I don't wanna try rename it, because it may screw things up.... http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/55462047931409437 Moderator edit: I moved your post here. Man, the year 2006... That was a while ago! I think it's about time for an optimization! .... I just played for the first boss; want to see what feedback one gets to this game, before I continue .... http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/55460998736226313

My pleasure! 'have finally learned to use TAS-studio. That's a huge happy pill!! Now, I can take TASing to the next level; for instance.... That darn armadillo boss; had problems with him for a long time, how one could make him "un-roll" on each side every time. Anyway, I didn't redo the entire vid; merely re-recorded about half of the game. Until next post! :) http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/55460359165630187

Hey! I have discovered glitches in Battletoads: you play with very many bugs, I see anyway, hehe ... But did you know that you can glitch through the walls (?) that are on level 4, as well? I started to record on track 3; sorry about that... It's because I could not lower the speed if I did not have a recording mode on, and it would be impossible for me to play again through that segment in level 3 with .... Well, whatever kind of vehicles you drive. If you get bored, simply fast forward through it. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/55446175984629643 Besides, you can glitch the rope on level 2 by holding up+down one pretty much "teleport" down; be careful though!.... If one hold it to long, one die, Just tap once on up+down to do it. Moderator edit: I moved your posts here. Please use the main game thread for discussing new research. — moozooh

Hi, folks! I have found a pretty nice glitch that allows Trojan to keep his sword still; quite difficult to explain what I mean, so it is better to see the video. Basically, I believe this bug can be a potential time saver, because the enemy is hit immediately after it touches the sword, rather than swinging his sword, for each hit; you loose frames by doing that, yes? Now, unfortunately it seems that this glitched out attack only works on enemies/bosses in the right screen, but I'm happy anyway, lol. I had to figure out forsome time how I manage to pull the glich of, but as soon as I found out how I did it, I wrote it down: by pressing up + down + left + (A) he does this "attack"; These keys or buttons (if you use a game pad) must be pressed all the time, in order for Trojan to keep his position. I set up this "move" so it's on one key (in my case the "Y" key) then I use the auto hold function in the emulator. Phew! Long post; much info. If you have any questions, please ask me things. Have a nice day. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/55419804460793269 Moderator edit: I moved your posts here. Please use the main game thread for discussing new research. — moozooh

Good job, man! You're an inspiration; I'm inspired by experimenting with this game. I see if one can play faster .... Like a scientist, I re-examine, again and again, to see if there is something I've missed ...And I actually discovered a bug that one can perform; That's why Billy doesn't get hurt by the shots from the chopper, as he's holding onto the ladder. By pressing up + down or left + right, funny and interesting things can arise. I'm not all too good at explaining things, so would you guys be so kind and check it out yourselves, yes? Until next time! :) https://ufile.io/hm1gk432 Moderator edit: I moved your posts here. Please use the main game thread for discussing new research. — moozooh
