Take i easy fellas!.. =) I have been working on this game for a very long while now... Which has actually (the periods I've been tasing) caused me to slept very, very bad.. Anyway, here's a WIP of me playing this game with whip and boomerang, only. After you guys have watched this WIP, please tell me if you think I should continue, or start all over..http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/886045080/Super%20Castlevania%20IV%20by%20D.smv

Hi guys! I've dunno why I haven't TAS:ed this game in a long, long, long while, really.. Maybe because lazyness, and maybe because I got many projects, - and I don't know which TAS, who is most suitable to complete.. =/ By the way.. I feel terrible to have posted a new topic, (this one) when there's already one out here.... Didn't notice it, until now. Anyhow.. Me and my partner Mr. Highness is going to start working on this project again.. We'll do or best, with all kinds of tools, to make the TAS become, as fast, entertaining, and sensational, as possible! ^^ BTW, Truncated: I will try to Hex-edit this movie, but if it's not possible, I will start over, - I don't mind! =) It feels good to clear some things up! Stay tuned! =)

Splendid! Hard to belive that this is your first run with such quality! I like this game, and I like the TAS - I'll vote YES.

I'm very sure it is not faster to jump just high enough to get 5000 points. In most cases it doesn't matter where you grab the flag at all, and if it does every time I can remember it did, grabbing it at the highest position was always better.
Well, tragicly enough, I seem to have everything against me at this moment.. The "trick" I wanted to use at the menu, is not allowed, it seems that I can't grab the mushroom as fast as you can, and I don't find any overall "optimizers", - so I wild guess would be, that I can't improve your run.. =(

I belive it goes faster, the way I grabbed the flag.. That is the precise frame that you get 5000 points... Damn, it seems that I can't be faster than you, at least not at the first stage, and I want to manage that before I continue with the TAS... ;( I think I need some help at some states... :P

Aha, to bad... I'm talking about the flagpole movement I did, which is faster than in the one which is in your run.. I'm just writing that I'm going to use every possibility to be more speedy! :) But if I manage to be as fast as YOU, to pick up the mushroom, that's the question..

Aight! I'm gonna do the flag-pole movement in my TAS, like I did at the demorun in every stage, that's for sure, and I've also noticed a trick, which MAYBE can be a time-saver... You probably want to check it out. You can see a picture of it, and a WIP below.. I start the game faster cuz I "set up" the game, before I record, if you know what I mean.. I don't know if that "trick" is allowed though... Ok! It ain't faster in the rest of the demo-run?=/ It's amazing how you guys on this site can see things I can't see.. :P ;D Can you please tell how I can be faster? For example is it only me or do it goes faster to keep the speed, by constantly jumping after the exact frame Mario starts to run?

I apologize if I sounded disagreeable.. I only meant that there could be irritating that I don't stick with one TAS at the time, but know y'all know why..

Oh, man! How that sound wrong.. My bad.. Again, there wasn't my intention to sound like that.. With ATTENTION I meant FEEDBACK.. That's big differences now when I think about it.. I just thought it would not never be understood. BTW, I'm Diman.. An oooold player. :P

Ok. I know I post a lot of WIP's at the forum.. You're probably thinking: "dude! Why doesn't this guy stick with one TAS at the time?? Well.. Since I don't get enough feedback, for those WIP's I have post so far, (now days) out here, I have decided to not give up until I get the attention I want. THEN I promise I'll take it easy! You have my word! :P Well, enough of the babbling - here you go.. http://www.sendspace.com/file/7n8wj2 Is that a good start? Is the feature I use at the beginning allowed? Please tell me what your opinions are. Edit: Oh, I forgot: it's only the first stage completed...

Hehe! That's what I call brother-love.. Or not. :P I think it's awesome, when you get the brothers to "fly away", a long bit!.. Fantastic improvements! I vote yes on this!

Truly amazing! I wanted to do an improvement myself a good time ago on Walker's Trojan run, but I never managed to do that.. So I gave up and considered it to be a perfect run.. But now when I recently watched this.. Damn! You are a master of this game, man! I loved the part when you kill those King Shrieks, before you met the last boss.. Clear YES vote from me!

Hi! Man it feels like eternity since I've been here last time.. Anyway.. Here I've done a TAS of Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu, and I must say, it look really nice! Eh, MOST of the time, cause in other places it looks like a 3 year old kid or whatever, could TAS it better.. =/ And why's that? Cause first I felt that Baxter's TAS of this game should need a makeover, to my disappointment, it was harder than I could ever expect.. Well, well.. Know you all know the reason i didn't put this "test"-TAS or whatever, at the submission-thread.. Here you go.. Have a watch: http://www.sendspace.com/file/mrokl3I By the way.. Is the feature I use at the beginning allowed? At the menu, that is? I wanna know in case I should make a "perfect" TAS of this game..

The third time this movie gets improved?!! Your TAS:ing skills are without equal in my opinion! :) Do things that in normal cases seem impossible! You surely ain't nothin' to mess with! ;) With my full respect.. I vote... I vote: yes!! :)

Yeah, I've adjust the setting at that time to "auto-detect", because I thought it was the right thing to do, if you are unsure what country the rom is from. Well well... Thanks for the explanation! I will set country to USA (NTSC) as you wrote. PS: I hope, like written, that I don't have to start all over...! Awful thought! It don't seem to be impossible, since I did record the game when I had "auto detect" disposed. You gave me the advice to hexedit, which is a very very wise, thing to do when you want to save parts in the gameplay. Unfortunately the game is a b**ch often when it comes to hexediting which has been stated 3-4 times (I think). Well, I go away now and set the game correct! I will then post a WIP to make sure everything is alright when you watch the gameplay-video.

"It surprises me every time, how sloooow toki moves." Me too. That is why I try to make it interesting as possible by doing "stunts" and go "through" everything and don't make so many stops! "It looked really good.... but did you really mean to record it with a (UE) Rom in Japanese mode? :/ You should fix that or your movie could be rejected." Thanks! No! That's is not my intention!! =O Dammit! Does this mean that I have to start all over? Can you explain how I can fix this problem, so I record in the "right" mode in the future, please? =O Thanks again! Yeah, I know you don't like that I twitch, that's why I do it so little, and maybe there are folks out there who likes twitching during waiting time? That's why I do that a little at least, and one more thing: I think I crawl at the soonest, possible frame. Thanks for the nice comments both Truncated and emu! =)

Finally the first level is done! It was very tough! I stop the TAS at frame: 10248. And BTW thank you stanski for have done a TAS-preview, but I did find a faster route which I'm going to use instead. Sorry. Here is our WIP! Enjoy!

Hello y'all! It's been months since someone have written something in this topic! Correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't a half year at least gone by? Well well, I don't know, but anyway here is a WIP! The reason why I haven't been working on our (mine and Highness) TAS is because I need tips on stage 1-2 how to pass the first spike (or what you wanna call it), and Highness is very busy, so he doesn't always have time to talk with me 'bout our project, so, therefore I have been taking a rest from TASing for a while... But now I'm back on track, ready to take this project more serious even though I can't expect to always get help from my TAS-partner! That's what forums for right? I didn't thought of that (dumb as I were) until I this evening saw a mail from a someone which wondered what happened to mine and Highness TASing project. Like I wrote I need help with the first spike at stage 1-2, so if anyone can give me an explanation, I would be grateful. I would love to see pics on how to fix that, but feel also free to use WIP's on how you can deal with that problem. That's it! For NOW!

One more time, to make it clear. I am not offended by the name.
Ok, ok... Sorry then. I also think it maybe looks weird or VERY weird when it says on a published movie: "played by God-Hand", or "God's-Hand". But I think it just a name... But again, Bisqwit, you're the boss. You make the rules. If Mr. God-Hand want a published movie here, he have to change his name... Ok, enough of this. I watched the movie and I vote no.

Personally, I am not offended by his name.. Even though I am a christian too. If there is a God above us, which I belive, I think he see through the fingers on this nickname... The point is: Bisqwit created this site, and he is the manager. He directs. So it's pointless to argue with him.
This is Bisqwit's site, he makes the rules.
I totally agree. BTW: I haven't watched the TAS yet! :P I will do that now, and then vote! :P

"Around 13 minutes he walks a few steps beyond the castle door before turning and going in. I dont know if this was meant...if not it is a TASing sin." I have to do that. So it's not a TASing sin. :P When I walk to the castle door, I have to pass the door to make the game scroll to the right. You can't go into the castle, until you have done that. That's strange and sad, that's for sure. "There are 2 "hidden" stages. You may or may not be aware of them. The first is at the "fly-man" stage. You can enter one of the machine and it transports u to a new stage. The other is in the Mansion (last stage) when the wizard is chasing you down then throws u in that monster face." Didn't know anything about any secret level from the "fly-man" stage! ; ) Have to check that out sometime! Did know the other hidden stage though, when the wizard is chasing you, and you run away from him and enter that door instead! Thank you for the tips, cideprojekt! I don't know if I'm going to make another run where I play the hidden stages... I'm kinda fed up with Splatter House now!... ;P
