Never seen this game before. Very simple, just need to find the fastest movement. Link to video Though a 2-player TAS would be more interesting and faster, I suppose. So, what I see: Super bombs will be useless. Yellow rockets destroy everything on their way. Pinning to the wall, what a nice way to dodge bullets)) 2-3 frames should be enough to avoid a shot. Looks like, enemies just block you if you touch them. Planting a bomb makes you invicible for some time.

It's all right... Writing this because I won't and can't do it perfectly on my own! Well, I suppose this game used to be popular in NES times and in 2000th in poor countries, but now I have doubts about that because this game is still NOT published on our site and has NO threads at forum (trash from 2006 isn't count). RoboCop 2, here we go. This is a side-scrolling game, a shooter, a... ...nothing else. Main objective is to finish each level with at least 60% of destroyed Nuke and arrested villains. There are 13 levels (+3 levels with final boss). To pass level 1,3,4 you have to discover Nuke storages and collect extra bottles (they are already shown in the WIP below). The main problem of this game is RoboCop's inertia, slippage, speed up and down (movement). I would TAS the whole game, but it's gonna be rejected due to slow movement. Here is the WIP: User movie #35184961646526742 All right, here are my notes: All levels might be improvable (excepting level 1 and maybe 2). It's faster to jump over enemies rather then shoot them. Though you have your health points, some enemies kill you instantly if you touch them. Level 3. On the way to the Nuke storage, an electric facility blocks the way. When the player crosses the certain zone, a "timer" starts its work and, when it ends, the facility triggers the lighting. I can't figure out how exactly it works, but it's possible to manipulate this part of RNG and save the time. I mean, make the facility to trigger the lighting at certain time to spend no time on waiting for the lighting to disappear. I hope you'll understand what I mean. Level 8, where you have to kill the oldman (his name is Cain, seems to be). Here is the glitch: by pausing the game at certain period of time, you can break his shooting algorithm. In normal conditions, he shoots 2 missles and then waits for some seconds, and so 8 times (14 missles in total), then you must beat him. By pausing the game you can speed him up and complete the level faster. Level 9. Pick up the weapon W. It kills every enemy with a single shot. It saves much time. Here is my old TAS, maybe it will help: Link to video

I expect you won't sort some WIPs that don't contain games' names in their names and discriptions. As far as I know, it's not possible to choose the game from the list if there are no submissions of ABCXYZ game. I hope you know what I mean))

I suppose you spent not 1 hour to make this speadsheet!)) "Forum threads" and "Known WIPs" are empty... OK, what about first: some games have multiple threads (with useful info in each). Are you going to suft them all? Yeah, the project idea is good. TASVideos exists for more than 15 years and we still haven't finished any of platforms)) Because: 1. Our community has over 7600 registered users, but only 30% (±) have publications and only 1-3% stay active nowdays. Many people register just to make a single submission and forget about us) 2. We are aimed to make high-quality TASes. Some games require team work and side assistance. That's why some games are not TASed or/and published yet. You can grab 70% TASes of NES games just by replacing YouTube videos to your list.

I need to export my input to a text file (or MS Excel file). The format should be similar to the spreadsheet which look like that: Frame - Buttons (pressed) - IR coordinates (nothing else needed). Dolphin shows all that if I enable "Show frame counter" and "Show input display", but I can't write down on a list ALL the needed input. Yet Another Input File Editor instead of IR coordinates shows Data and a long set of address code like in Cheat Engine. Please help! .dtm is here: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/34546688997717013

I think it would be great if we had a hack that just replaces 2 heroes with Shiva and Ash. BTW, I did a short TAS movie where I play as Ash (used Game Genie): Link to video

I don't know exactly (not tested the game), but it seems like turns don't affect the speed. With that he can do zig-zagging when the road is straight without wasting any time. Otherwise, this TAS is improvable!

I've faced this problem too. You may won't playback the movie from the beginning. By loading a savestate, you just skip the desyncing part of in put. Try to playback the movie!

I have trouble with making a game review! I'm making a game review to send it to the contest, but I have trouble with the narrative storyline. In general, you have to tell only about main parts of the game/film/literature plot when you write a letter (essay), but I don't know whether this rule exactly spreads on video reviews. What do you think is the best narrative? 1. ... In the laborotory X-18 we need to find the documents about the experiments (no mentioning about them since I took this quest). The way is blocked by 2 doors with combination locks. We must find 2 dead scientists to discover the codes. After we get to the room with the documents, the door will close behind us. To open it, we must kill the fire poltergeist. Then the door opens and we fall asleep. After we wake up, we grab documents and rush through the militaries to the exit. .... 2. ... No souls in the laborotory, seems to be... On a floor below, we meet the door with a combination lock, but without the code we cannot get through. The subjects begin to behave strangely, rise above the ground. And then we realize that this lab is not quite normal. That's it: here we meet the humanoid mutants whcih are very agile; Burner anomalies, which burns everything into ashes and a Comet anomaly which flies and does the same thing. After we find the dead scientist and search him, we'll find the door code. Down below, we see a similar picture: objects not only rise, but also fly right at us. To stop it, we must kill poltergeists, which look like clouds, surrounded by lightnings. Is it possible to kill them? You can! For that, you should shoot slightly above the center of this cloud. After you kill it, an invisible monster appears and falls down. At the right of the stairs we find the second door in which someone or something pushes (strongly). Anyway, we need to open it. We find the ladder and descend into a large room, there is a new monster waiting for us. This is a Pseudogiant. This hulk will breach any floor with his hand, and his head will break any wall. There we find the second scientist and the second code. Returning to the door, openning it aaaaaaand... there's nothing ahead! We enter the room with the documents, and there will be another poltergeist, this time fire, which is spewing the flames at us. Now, he closes the door and we can't run away. After we kill him, we fall asleep. ChNPP...., a pack of rats runs from it..., an unknown shoots them with a machine gun..., then he turns around, but his face remains a secret. So, we wake up, find the documents and get out of the lab. At the exit militaries meet us and we must kill them. ... What do you think is the best narrative? All this will be followed with the gameplay and suitable intonations. Also, should I use "Main hero" (his name) instead of "We" and "You". (MH finds, needs to do sth, kills, helps, grabs, rushes)? What also can you sugjest? If I've impressed you, you may download the game and try it. It is S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Shadow of Chernobyl.

Not only this game says that memory card is corrupted (event if it's empty). I've tested some games and got the same issue with Madagascar for GC.

I think it will be entertaining if you kill all the enemies with headshots in a 3D shooter, depending on how difficult it is for a regular player and how "awesome" it looks like. Why do you think?

TAS features will be imported in the official release or we will get a different emulator (PPSSPP-rr, for example)?

It's not the first case when no-one is able to play back the movie.

So, why SoulCal's Resident Evil 4 was published despite this? Because itsPersonnal doesn't ask to use his movie? Or because only feos didn't manage to play back the movie? I think everyone didn't.

What? TAS is completely out of sync? Can you record an AVI movie from the oldest savestate you have? Though it won't be full, but, at least, we will be able to watch a part of your work!

Who would bring to mind our current Hourglass...? Anyway, good luck in development! I don't know how useful it will be. As for now, major part uses Windows.
