Loved the combos here, the way you build them up was so confusing that i couldn't follow it which is a good thing! Also the steady times on each level is great. Definetly a Yes from me!
Thank you. I couldn't watch your run of this game, it kept de-syncing on me *tries again* i did whole levels over multiple times to find the most complex way of making a combo. Lololo and Lalala proved the worst...the set of blobs i got for them was just horrific and took me 27 seconds and the most retries out of any level to get them to act ok.

In my experience the blobs you get in a level are all randomized on the start of the level and there is no way you can manipulate them during gameplay. The boulder placement however seems to be based on where you put your last pair of blobs before the boulder falls. And i did some testing with left+right & up+down, but they didn't seem to do anything (not atleast during gameplay) Even if there isn't much luck manipulation, you can still plan all your games in advance since the exactly same blobs will fall no matter what, this should give you a bit of a advance atleast :)
Thanks for your input on this. I do know that the randomization starts at the beginning of each match, but i don't know when. as far as i can tell it could be what time you get on the match before it. In that case I'd have to probably make some matches better in order to get a better set of blobs for the next match. there are a couple levels i know i could improve on..and perhaps improving on them would help me improve on the succeeding level.

I don't know...the speed boosts last much longer if you don't sacrifice then going over sand. You did wonderful on the first lap, I loved it! but then it started to get sloppy...i think it could have been faster if you avoided bumping into walls at all, and avoided sand area to increase the distance you get on speed boosts. isn't there more then one level? I vote no...i just don't think it's very entertaining as it is right now.

This movie is good, had my heart going a few times during game play. I remember playing this game too, my mom rented it for me and i spent the ENTIRE time we had it at the house playing it. I never beat it, was too hard for me to do. I have never played this game in a perfection type way. but have you experimented with constant jumping? In some games you can keep running speed or gain speed faster if you jump starting or continuing up a hill. I also know that it is very hard to avoid yarn balls, but sometimes getting too many can lead to a slow down. I'm afraid to vote because I see improvements that I think could be made but honestly have no way of proving that they are possible to make.

That's what I call a job well done! Congratulations on this one! Everytime I saw those red "blocks" come down on the enemies, I started to laugh! So many times have I played this game, and so many times did I get frustrated at some enemies... I've got nothing but good things to say about this run! Huge YES vote from me!
Thanks, I'm really glad you enjoyed, I too got annoyed with this game many times, as I still have it on my real SNES. :)
This one is much better than the last one. I don't think there's much left to improve (maybe some frames, but I doubt any stage other than 6 could be a second faster) and it's much better entertainment. Would've voted yes this time, but can't anymore.
thanks, it makes me feel proud that I accomplished what i was going for in the second run. I agree that lololo and lalala suck :P. i will have to try again eventually.

thanks Zurreco. I have tried the random button with no use pushing, that one seemed to do a little with the boulder blobs. i haven't tried pausing and using left+right yet...i will have to give it a shot

I did a speedrun of this game and have already submitted it. I was wondering if anyone knew of any tricks or might be able to help me out with the randomizations in the game? What determines what set of blobs you get for a match? When is it determined? When is the placement of the boulder blobs determined? Is it possible to make the blobs settle in their spot faster then just laying them out onto other blobs?

Thanks Sketchie. I hope this run is a little more entertaining to those that didn't seem to think the first one was quite that. :)

Ok, I'll give that a shot one more time. I'm new at this...sorry. Yes, it goes under the same catergory as the previously submitted movie. he attempts to beat the game at the fastest time and at the same difficulty. the concept is exactly the same and there is only once difference. You can in fact manipulate luck in this game, boulder blobs can be affected, and the set of blobs you get can be affected, though not after the battle begins.

It was worth a shot. I didn't know the movie existed though I had searched for it. It was meant to be a general run of the game, something to try for a first time.

Yes, I do realize that some of the combos look overkill. I went through possible combo's multiple times. In Kirby's Avalanche the difference between getting a 4 combo and a 5 combo can be VERY big. If I had gone with the lesser combo then my opponent would not be defeated as fast and I'd be wasting time..so I took the greater combo and ended up overkilling a couple of times. I do agree that the levels are similar; the real difference is the default speed, which obviously increases with each passing opponent. For anyone that has played on the hardest level and understands that the chance of winning is very small no matter how good you are, this can be quite interesting to watch. That's actually why I wanted to do it, so I could see the hardest computers beaten with god-like speed and reflexes, hehe. This is my first time attack video. I did a previous run of this game and improved greatly on my second try. My first run was 8:58 vs. my 8:23 now. :)
