I voted yes because it's quite an improvement. What's baffling me is that I can't see it, is this game so poorly made that I can't even see a near minute improvement? Yeesh...

I noticed Genisto's absence, but I didn't think much of it. What happened to him? For some reason I am always the last to find out this stuff. :P

I voted yes. I like how the game is played. I wonder though if there were a few places luck manipulation could take a role...like waiting for acid drops. do they come from pre-defined positions at pre-defined times? I also noticed some lag...whether that can be helped I have no idea. Since I've never played the game I can't judge on that...so I still voted yes.

Iguess I shouldn't really open my maw because I have never really played this game to that level. It just seems like one could get a better score then that...I know there is a whole list of bonuses, correct me if I'm wrong. I mean if your origonal intent was to make points...

If you mean the zipping, there are lots of reasons. Zipping only works from left to right. Also it doesn't scroll the screen, so it can only be used at the beginning and ending of levels and on single screen rooms. If you zip to the right side of the screen then try to walk right, you'll be warped back to the center of the screen. If you mean the "exit before you reach a door" glitch, this is the result of what pressing L+R does: It applies the wrong collision detection to you, effectively warping you to somewhere else in the level data. The reason I can't use this constantly is because I can't access the glitched exits from too far away.
Ohhhh okay! I get it now! That makes the run make a lot more sence, thanks. I still voted yes though of course, it looked great and I was sure there to be a reason.

I voted yes of course, I mean wow! 6 seconds of the current strategy is amazing and very noticable! At least it was to me, I mean I notice the zip right into Course 2, that was cool. :P It looks very optimal, though I wonder if the one part over in the Lava level couldn't be done a few frames faster. FODA seemed to get farther up that bridge when defeating the Bully before the star manifested. As for the wind on Bowser 3...that was great how you worked through it! That was nicely executed, I wonder even if the way you did it was faster just out of path directness. Nicely done run!

Of course I'm voting yes. THat was darn awesome to watch, all those crappy levels that I hated because they took so long done in such a small time. Dire, Dire, Docks had to have been my fave...wow. I actually clapped when you got all the red and blue coins without the poles even being there. Awesome. The glitches were awesome, everything was awesome. Hehe. :)

Whee I can vote yes! Finally got the darn thing to work. N64 emulators are confusing...Very well done, considering how long it took me to beat this game I can't believe how short it is o_o.

I can appreciate the effort, it's a good run. But it's like MK2, it's only really entertaining if it is glitched up. MK2 seems to be the worst..therefor making it the best. Granted it is a great run, I will vote meh. Yes on technical perfection, heavy meh on entertainment. :P

For a run that was suppose to be boring I see a lot of yes votes. I added one, I was actually quite impressed with this. Maybe some small stuff here and there, but I've never played the game so I'm just judging as a spectater. I like the music...the graphics are pretty nice. It's an enjoyable sit down game if you ask me. Vote yes. :P

Heheh, after all the trouble trying to get mupen to work I got to view this, marking the first official N64 run I saw before it was publisehd. :P great run, definetly a yes. I was very impressed and surprised! I still wonder if a 0 star run is possible...

Haha, is this even a game anymore? Still don't think you could mess this game up that bad with a game genie. Do you think you'll ever find a way to beat that first boss? I know why you choose him first, but that must bug the crap out of you, haha. Wow...almost makes me wonder if that fireball glitching is possible elsewhere?
I have no idea what you're talking about.
Eh...I am hard to understand sometimes...I'm sorry. What's sad is that my native tongue is english. Game genie: The cheating device? First boss: Elecman. You have to beat the Elecman with only megamans default weapon and it takes several seconds. fireball glitch: the weapon from fireman used for glitch warping? Maybe I missed something...

(not sure if this is common knowledge to those who aren't as familiar with improper speaking English) whatcha = what do you, what are you In this case, when the "do" is dropped (due to laziness, for lack of a better word), it turns into "what you" and words with a hard ending followed by an "e" sound (which is what "you" gives, like "eww") often get churned into a "ch" sound.
"Do" never has anything to do with "whatcha" :P It is purely "What are you", where "are" is dropped to laziness; with "what" being merged into one word with "you". Whatyou. That would be too hard to say and take too much effort, so it is said lazy and comes out to being "whatcha" (wuh-ch-yuh) Which I assume is the mouth merging the "teh" sound at the end of 'what' and the "yuh" sound with the lazy pronouncing of "you" (which sounds like "yuh" when someone says it to you lazily) :P Enjoy my crappy english to understand crappy english. :P

I'm with the "meh" crowd. This game was well played I think, but it's very...boring to watch. The music...wow. I couldn't even use the run as background music when I draw...heh. But again, love the way you shoot and keep things out of your way. Well executed run.

I applaud this. I was playing around with the game myself to see if it was TASable, without looking on the threads or anything, thought it would be pretty cool to see and bam! here it is! Nicely done. I see a few places where maybe you could save a few frames, but I'm not complaining with what you do have. :) Voted yes.

I voted yes for sure. This is definetly a game of entertainment, not purely speed. I'm sure if I had played the game I would appreciate very hard play more..but hte glitches make the movie just worth it. Great job!

Aight...I hear all of your points. I still think part of the fun of TASing is to do it, but I'm also not doing your trick on Megaman so...if it works.

It is tool assisted, they didn't use the bot the whole way through the movie, so I don't see how it was tool relied. In that sense actually, wouldn't using the frame advance and the emulator itself be relying on tools, not being assisted?
Maybe so, but a human player is still playing. A human player is still figuring out randomness, if the human player is still playing the game, not a program. I don't want to start a huge dramafest, it's just how I feel about the nature of TASing...I just think a human player should be doing it entirely, even if he is using frame advance (in my opinion, like a frame number ruler).

The point of a TAS is to produce results as close to possible as what a robot built to play games optimally would make. Wouldn't you say it makes perfect sense to have a program TAS for you as much as possible?
No, like I said we are doing tool assisted videos. We always assure everyone that we're not cheating, I think having a program doing for you is just as bad as using a game genie. You put in the code and you get a desired result. TASing is suppose to be fun, and done by a person who is playing the game....

BisqBot...I'm sorry but I don't like the idea of that tool. 6 Million...you know how long it would take a human to do that? Isn't a human suppose to be the one playing the game, not the program? Granted it does help with complicated stuff, but what's the fun in that? No one but that bot can play the game for randomness now, no one will get close. It's tool ASSISTED, not tool RELIED video...just my opinion.
