I was disappointed by the elevator level. A full pacifist thing would probably have been cool. Other than that... yes-worthy.

The snes version is censored/localized, but has it's advantanges. I think publishing a movie for both systems would be ideal. I still think this movie's pretty good.

The voting system breaks down into percentages anyway, so why not vote using a slider instead of multiple choice? 0=no, 50=meh, and 100=yes (or "I think this deserves a star.") But all values inbetween would still be possible, in case "meh and a half" feels more appropriate.

I like Arc's idea too, but it still fails to address the most basic question: Why do these movies exist? I assume the answer is "for entertainment;" people can wander to this site from google or whatever, and download some movies of their favorite old-school games being beaten with more skill than anyone could possibly possess. If the question is to be changed, I think the new question should somehow address the fact that even though most people think a game is boring and derivative, we should remember that to someone else, it's something much more than that. Maybe... "Does this movie adequately represent it's game?" Or something like that?

Shit. Did I just vote no? If I did, I meant yes. A good movie, all around.

I had the same problem. The VLC player worked like a charm, even though other palyers were telling me I didn't even HAVE the h264 codec. Idiocy! If I were you, Raymond, I'd uninstall all the codecs again and reinstall only the newest k-lite codec pack, making sure to reboot after each operation. That's what worked for me, at any rate.

Whoo. First vote. I liked this run quite a bit, mostly because it's easy to appreciate the strategy and luck manipulation, all of which happens at break-neck speed. He uses whichever weapons are handy, and discards his teammates like used condoms when they've outlived their usefulness. Mwahaha. It's also a very unique game, possibly one of a kind. Yes vote.

Hm... looks like it could have been optimized better. Kidding! (Yes vote.)

Chuck Norris couldn't possibly defeat a being that was a ninja, a pirate AND sephiroth. Only the Flying Spaghetti Monster could do that, so mighty is His noodly appendage!

Nonsense. He's both- he should stab himself with two enormous swords and a parrot!

If you were really sephiroth OR a pirate, you'd have stabbed yourself for making this thread.

Not the power rangers?! "Go go chojin sentai, you birdman-task-force...' eh, maybe not. I suppose somebody ought to find a captain planet game now.

I also voted yes... but I wish I'd voted meh. My problem with it is that it's not complete. I liked the movie, (mostly because it's f-zero and f-zero rules all) but calling a single track a movie is like calling a handful of peas a meal. I think a grand prix on the hardest league/class, particularly if just the final lap of each race were comparable to a world record, and the rest of the race is full of malarkey and shinannigans. :)

I didn't find it particularly interesting, but it DOES seem to live up to the game's potential, so I'll vote yes. Whoo.

Fastest and most furious ninja action EVER! The performance had a human quality to it, but never misses a beat. Most excellent.

He used the amazon, he rode all animals, he knocked a midget off the bridge, he made enemies commit suicide by jumping off of high places, and he breathed fire at the children. There is no part of this movie I didn't like.

I redid the first 2 levels a while back, and got through about 500 frames faster. I actually managed to stop the level 1 boss from doing his annoying teleport thing by doing some frame-perfect swinging. I still need to do a lot of tinkering with level 2. I have other things that take priority, though. I've begun working on rerecord support for MAME, along with 2 or 3 other projects that won't be done for a few months. So, yeah, I'll be working on it... eventually.

Why the real life doesn't have savestates, slowdown , re-recording ? :'< *Sobs*
it does. Nobody knows any cool glitches for it yet. Well, except maybe Sweden...

Would these glitches help at all? Wouldn't the ability to get permanent power bonuses be extremely useful?
I looked into running this myself a month ago, and had the idea to have Girl "buff" Boy's speed so that his... whatchamacallit.... "attack readyness meter" reaches 100% more quickly. I never tested it, though, so I don't know if it would be worth the time it takes to buff, but I'm fairly certain nobody's mentioned the idea yet.

C'mon, Frenom! We need a fix... or would it be a "phix?" *curls up into the fetal position*

What do you suppose they'll do with all those "sleek 1999 roadsters?"

Solid. It's good to get rid of one of those famtasia movies. YES.

Why not? Because they suck and I hate them! That's why not! :D Georgexi: I hate to be one of those "referral" guys who can't answer a simple question, but you'd be better off asking about FBA here. It's the official FBA forum.

I voted yes, which I seem to have failed to mention earlier. I think I'd change it to meh if I had to vote again now, but I stand by my yes. Here's my reasoning: I don't know how much potential this game has, ultimately. You can't run unless you're using the character mazzeneko used. So, the other characters also do less damage, in addition to being slower. On top of that, I'm fairly certain more enemies spawn on a 2-p run, which makes the whole thing drag on quite a bit. I'd change my vote to No or Meh for the following reasons: I also discovered that it's possible to manipulate the treasure boxes so that when hit (divided into more treasure, that is,) they spawn one of those red orb things that kill all the enemies on the screen. Maybe Mazzaneko already knew that, and found it impractical? I don't know, but I imagine it would shave off some time in a few places... like when fighting tallmen. Maybe possible during boss fights? I think it bears answering before the decision is made.

OoT definitely had some brilliant boss battles. They were all unique, and you'd have to figure out how to win on the fly, or you'd get killed. Doesn't get much better than that. Zelda 2 for the nes was similar in that respect, but on a smaller scale... and 2 dimensional. FF6, that first Atma Weapon. Nuff said.
