That is unavoidable. In the SNES game simba will land on the giraffe, but on genesis simba will fall farther forward. This is also done in the mukki tas.
I dont think it’s fair to compare to tompa’s tas as there are slightly different mechanics, despite the games being nearly identical.
Even some of the hitboxes for the enemies in the first level are different, and for some reason I cant do the ledge grab in the 1st level unless I bounce on that chameleon.
There’s still going to be alot of testing from me during this, however let’s try not to compare genesis with snes.

As far as I know, the only other change is the amount of lives you get. In hard you start off with 0 but in easy you start with 8.

I’ll happily try it out! Since I’ve gotten some better experience with the SMS and that one bootleg game, despite being different games have very simmilar movements. So i will definitely try it out.

Actually I wouldn’t mind checking out the genesis version, but was holding off on it because you were planning on improving it yourself.
Edit: also I would have asked if you wanted to work on it together but didn’t know if converting between gens and bizhawk would be easy.

While that is an interesting opinion on the teir, I think personally the teir is better perceived as showing what a good example of a “perfect” tas is. Somthing that balances incredible optimizations of well known video games and showing a basic idea of what TASes are all about.
In this case. Celeste is a fast pace precision platformer that contains many options for speed, which is why it’s become one of the most popular speed games. It also shows off the tools used for PC tasing and what those tools can accomplish.

Since the only relevant differences in hard mode is boss health being larger, I wonder if it’s worth it to play the tas in easy mode or default mode rather than hard mode.
Is there any obligations to this? I want to make sure people are cool with it before I attempt this.

YT usually uses way more space to achieve the same quality. The MP4 Compatibility option which is our Archive.org streaming option can save you phone data costs as well as possibly work better if you're in an area with poorer reception.
I never watch videos on phone data, only when I’m connected to wifi. Since I dont have a laptop anymore I either watch on my home desktop whenever I’m on it, or just stream on mobile with wifi.

I really prefer to watch them on YouTube due to it being in the best quality, and plus it’s convient to pull up on my phone.
The only times I use the other methods is if there are no available youtube stream (that aren’t WebNations).
I also like watching encodes made in 60fps, so I would also use the downloadables if the youtube encode itself isnt in 60.
