Wow! Dis sundtrak iz petty gud! How do u enaybul it on virtul consul verizon?
Lol ecks dee slash ess et cetera
A-hem... anyway, this was an interesting way to complete the game. I wasn't expecting myself to say, "What, it's Doppler stage time already?" at about 12 minutes in, before sitting back and realising what was up.
It's a Yes vote from me.
I would say no. Firstly, it's on a different console version of the game, and secondly, as you noted, this isn't the fastest way to complete the game on PS1.

Ooh boy, constructive criticism time!
TheMechanicalKoopa: I've just given your TAS a quick watch, and I can say that, even though it seems to be pretty decent for (what I presume is) a first attempt, there's still plenty of room for improvement:
- Try finding ways to use up more Hearts. Tallying them down at the end of a level costs time, so you should aim to finish each level with exactly none left.
- Route out where to take damage in each level. You'll want to take as much damage as possible without dying, but if there are, say, five possible damage boost spots in a level where you would die in four, find out whichever one saves the least amount of time. (Think: Would it have been possible to get past the bat at the top of Stage 17 without stopping to kill it if you could take less damage elsewhere?)
- Try using luck manipulation. As scrimpeh noted, "you should have manipulated more rosaries and invincibility potions to spawn to make it through some sections quicker." Try destroying candles/enemies on different frames and see what you get.
One final note: Your first TAS of a game will never be optimal. Sometime further down the line, you may come back to this game and try to improve on your old effort.

Note to up-and-coming developers: Don't put slow, boring autoscrollers in your games - you'll upset all the speedrunners!
Also, if you put a 'test area' in a level, please make sure to remove it afterwards. Don't assume that you can just block it off and no one will find a way in, because - trust me - they will. (Or perhaps we will.)
Phew, had to get that off my chest. Pixel Mouse Goes to the Sewers gets a Meh vote from me.

Damn, Hertfield! Back at it again with another MMX improvement!
No, I'm not sorry.
In case that didn't make it obvious, I'm giving this an easy Yes vote.

What is up with the colour palette in the Black Ranger's level? It looks so... bleurgh.
Apart from that, this run/game was... okay. The sheer amount of unskippable cutscenes may have got some use out of my keyboard's right arrow key, but the TAS was short enough to not be too tiring.
I'll give this a Yes.

I can understand that for multiplatform (the Wii U version is apparently terribly optimised), but how is localising the game a bad thing? Surely you would prefer to play games in your native language?

No, no, no. Don't say that. That's not a very nice thing to say at all.
For me, TASing is a secret hobby of mine. My greatest accomplishment, I'd say, is that I managed to complete a full any% TAS of one of my childhood favourite games, and then come back to improve it by over a full minute. The resulting run may have been less than 20 minutes each time, but the amount of work involved was considerably more than that would suggest (gem-collecting in AotR is an absolute chore).
Now here's the sad part. I can't just go up to someone in real life and say, "Hey, I'm the guy who made the Tool Assisted Speedrun of Spyro Adventure" because they would just look at me like I'm a weirdo. But as long as the members of this esoteric community are able to appreciate what I have done, then that's good enough for me.

Right, two questions.
1. Would it be possible to create an encode of this? I know Spike said it's suboptimal, bit I'd still like to watch it anyway.
2. Is there a category like this for Spyro 3 as well, considering that that game also has a bone dance?

A Marvel game on the Genesis? Hm, this could be interesting.
Sees thumbnail on encode
Uh oh... why does this look like one of those 2D Windows games?
Sees title screen
"NAZHMITE KNOPKU START"? Oh, boy...
I'll just say, I actually enjoyed watching this one. Voting Yes.

Hmm... I don't think I enjoyed this as much I should have. I found the screen-lock sections to be quite boring with all the unavoidable waiting for enemies to, ahem, spawn at the edge of the screen. This made the game seem badly paced to me (the first 3 minutes felt like 6).
Overall, I'm going to give this a weak Yes. Would have been a Meh, but reading this submission thread was enough to sway me.
