Basically most of the people (including me) answer the question "Should this movie get published?" instead of "Did you find this movie entertaining?". I found this run entertaining and interesting though‚ as long as this kind of runs are very short‚ I don't have the time to find them boring. That's why I voted yes. On the other hand‚ I gave my vote to the latest Super Metroid movie even though I found it really boring. So I only voted yes because it was a nice improvement.

How isn't this elitist? He's basically saying "I am better so I can tell "sinners" (wtf is this word btw? TAS isn't a religion) what to do. I am as well the only one that can do so‚ because I am justice".

This is using a in game cheat, while we're taking about using Action Replay. It's not the same thing.

Why does it avoid a game breaking glitch? The authors decided to avoid them. That's why it's arbritrary for me. It's like "small-only" of SMW.
"small-only" is a challenge, it doesn't avoid any glitch. And if all the runs that avoids game-breaking glitches are arbitrary, then all "no save corruption" runs are arbitrary?

Nice run‚ yes vote. Shouldn't Scepheo be co-author though‚ since he did the current publication?
That's not how co-authorship works. If Masterjun did the entire input for this TAS from start to finish, Masterjun is the only author. (You can also nominate co-authors for just helping out enough in the making of the TAS, but that wasn't the case and is optional anyway.)
I know, but I thought Masterjun just redid the parts where improvements were found and hex edited the whole thing. But maybe I'm just wrong ?

"Intended route" still isn't considered a valid goal for a TAS, even though it has been suggested for years. (Personally I would be all for it being made a legit goal.)
Then what is SMW "warps" ? It's not called "intended route" but it is implied.

Hello, I tried to upload the .bkm of my WIP of Asterix and The Great Rescue, but when I tried I got this message: <<< Can't parse movie (error from format parser) >>> Errors from the movie parser: error_handler: errstr=Division by zero errfile=/home/tasvideos/public_html/formats/bkm.php errline=74 I can't really understand it, it looks like there's a problem with the bkm format?

I wanted to TAS this game so I went ahead and did the first two levels : Link to video Some comments : - Health management is hard in this game, because a lot of enemies can't be killed without being hit (basically all the enemies moving in the same direction as you). - I lost some time to kill two enemies in the first level because I will have to take a damage during the third level - I needed to avoid the last potion in the second level because I would have lost the cloud potion if I took it.

It looks like there is a TAS mod of this game, only in French unfortunately : Link to video Basically, it saves automatically at the beginning of every level, and you can press "1" to load this save. Otherwise, you have only one save slot : you can save with "R" and load with "L". Pressing "9" allows you to check a kind of RAM watch that shows you x/y positions of your character, the exit, the black market, the Moai statue and the gold city door. Pressing "6" send you back to the transition which allows you to generate a different level. You end up with a set of image files so you can't have an input file. Some TASes have been made with this mod, this the best time I could find : Link to video I don't know why it doesn't use the teleporter, there are also some flaws (especially the boss fight) but this is still something. Sub 2 min should be rather easy though, with teleporter and more bombs.

In the course of seeing what was done here, it was realized two problems with game-end glitch alone: 1) It is not necessarily a clear tag. 2) It doesn't identify that the run is in fact low%.
1) low% isn't necessarily a clear tag in games that doesn't track the completion percentage. Does low% means low score as well in this game? If it does‚ are we sure that there isn't any way to reduce the final score? 2)low% doesn't identify that the run does in fact use a game-breaking that allows the player to warp to the credits (i.e a game end glitch).

Yeah, from the look of it you just kinda knocked out the entire run in a couple hours without waiting or asking for any input. Maybe you should try collaborating with someone on your next run? The ability to have immediate feedback and a second eye would probably help immensely.
How...?
Posting WIPs in the forums.
Actually he did. He just didn't wait for any feedback before going ahead.

Low% is precised when it's the goal of the run. If we follow your logic, then most of the any% TAS of this site should be labeled low%, as they avoid everything which is useless in the game. This run is "game ens glitch" because it uses a glitch to reach the end of the game, without paying attention to completion percentage. The current run is "all levels" because it ends all the levels (even if some of them aren't finished normally) and an theoretical glitchless run would be "glitchless". Maybe the "glitchless" run would be a blank branch. But this run is definitively not low%, as it doesn't aim at all for the lowest completion percentage possible. What if we were labeling Mario 64 "0 stars" run "Bowser stages only" because, for some reason, it only finishes Bowser stages?

Well the 120 stars uses the BLJ to reach stars raster. I think this is exactly the dame case : using glitches to get all the 100% elements‚ but in a 'legit' way.

I also think the 100% run shouldn't use the glitch. That's like having a 96 exit SMW run that still utilizes the arbitrary code bug but completes all the exits.
Clipping through the walls has absolutely nothing to do with arbitrary code. A 100% run should use glitches as it would make the run faster and more entertaining.

I can't believe that Masterjun changed his mind like that. It looks like he put so much effort in this run‚ there is something that I can't understand. Anyway‚ this should get published.

Wouldn't this be such a case? The difference between the glitch used in this run and the glitched prominently used in the 12 minute movie is what?
Then we'll need an 'all bosses' run (not skipping any levels) or people (including me) will be really disappointed. But I think this run is different enough of the previous one to becomke a new category. And about the post-completion behavior of the game : last VVVVVV's run got published while the flip mode wasn't unlocked after the ending. I think this is a similar case.

For the second, andif it is possible to perfectly honest,I'm a bit boring of"total control"TASesme. It`s not as fun really able to see the 30-second video of the players jump around, ending suddenly.I prefer a full playthrough much,I feel it is cheap when it`s memory corruption It is especially bad to me,that they`re considered of these games the "mainbranch". REGULAR Tool Assisted run dead?
I don't know any case where the ACE run obsoleted the regular run, or where the only run that exist use ACE. The existence of ACE in a game doesn't mean that normal gameplay is dead.
