Probably a stupid question... but what is the cause of the different sound effect when you gain your 94th life in 8-1? While I'm not an expert on SMB3, I know most of the little easter eggs hidden around the game, so I was surprised to hear that unique sound effect.

As a competitive chess player this was not very interesting to me. I think more interesting would be trying to fulfill various achievements. Fastest stalemate, fastest self-mate (get yourself checkmated, if that wasn't obvious), fastest checkmate with a pawn, force the opposing king to YOUR king's original square and mate, etc. Just my two cents. Considering most of you are not competitive chess players, I doubt you'll share my sentiments.

Yes, I've tried all the things I could find, continuing a search for the problem wouldn't help. I don't know what's wrong, movies on emulators always desynche for me, for every console and emulator. It's really a pain because I can't watch WIPs.

Could somebody make an AVI or MKV or another video file of that. Every time I've tried to use the emulator to play it it desynches somewhere. I've tried multiple rom versions, patch versions, and emulator versions, and every combination of each. I'd be very appreciative if somebody would do that.

That would be preferable, but don't do it if it's too much trouble, I can probably figure this out somehow. Also I am getting white text but it still desynches at the 2nd level, it seems to me like there is a longer than expected pause on the world map to enter the level.

I'm having some trouble playing the movie and basically just opening the patched rom on the SNES9x. When I load the patched rom, there are some words I cannot read in yellow that show up for a second or 2, then they disappear and the rom never even starts. Can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong? Also the rom when it is unpatched will load fine. Thanks
