I've destroyed MMZ3 in 0:13.49

I was wondering when we'd get around to tasing this hack. What version are you guys using?
We are using the SegaCD US 4.0b version: http://info.sonicretro.org/Sonic_the_Hedgehog_Megamix Don't forget to download the SegaCD bios to run this game.

Oh lol. I can probably fix the score tables and the desyncs that might result from that. I have no idea how to do animal manipulation though and would like to learn.
Not necessary for now, we are lurking and exploring the hack, you can search shotrcuts too! The animal manipulation is written somewhere in S1 thread (because this game is a port of S1 engine to SegaCD) About the hack I was experimenting and I see the horizontal underflow is fixed in this hack and can't be performed, this benefits the entertaining value. And the braking mechanic is the same as S3, you can spindash when the acceleration is betwhen 0 to 264, it's not necessary braking like in S1/2 engine AFAIK. That's my research for now, I will continue tomorrow.

(upd) nicely done! I tried those stair clips in many places, but for some reason I didn’t have much success with them. Your route is very good, and also I love how the Sonic is drowning in the end.
It's a funny moment xD, sadly, we need to fix the score tables because they can be skipped pressing [A] at the first frame avaidable, we missed this little detail :P — and maybe add animal manipulation in DFZ3, I can see a little walrus delaying the end

Yeah, nitsuja's TASes has something that are pleasurable to watch, even if they are obsolete with the pass of the time. I wonder what happened to him, seeing his last post he disappeared suddenly. About the hack I will see what I can found and try to improve your stages. and hope dmtm not claim the discovery Update: new MMZ2 in 0:17.49 It's a little hard to optimize only with ram watch and no terrain display, but I think is fine for now.

What a beautiful movie and hack, it really deserves to be finished, what do you think WST? :) For some reason Sonic hud don't show me the information but is loaded correctly said, you used ram watches? Or you extracted the checksum?

As a note: TASVideosChannel (us) Publishes your movies for a global community and we get absolutely nothing in return. Account's not even partnered or anything. (someone else can explain this better)
What happens if TVC becomes partner? I believe that the income that it would have would be useful to improve the host and its connection, since sometimes the site and forum are inaccessible for a period of time during the day and sometimes it's annoying, and maybe giving gratifications to the publishers / judges / admins / emulator devs / authors or people who do big contributions to this community to keep it operate, but it's just an opinion as a normal user.

Sounds like a great idea, when I was doing AIZ and HCZ in the past, I was learning multi-tracks in their time, this is a good time to update the inputs because they are outdated and I was not very satisfied because I saw some sloppy things, but starting from MGZ is not necessary, I feel good with the current result of the rest of old zones. About the platform after the crusher wall in HCZ2, I guess you need to save between 3~6 seconds to get a good position of it, I guess you will not have problems.

No sir, no vacations for you, I want HCZ2 and the run synced tomorrow or I will summon Supreme Calamitas in your house :D BTW, I don't care if Sonic dies if we can save some in-game time seconds in the level the explanation of the glitch is written in the previous pages by marzo, maybe aroung 50~65 I don't remember correctly, or betwhen pages 13~20 by a HHS' reply

Very cool, I wish you luck on this project, btw if I remember correctly in labyrinth 1 in the japanese or american version there is an alone ring in the upper path, I recommend you doing a research betwhen versions if there are ring differences. I see you chosed doing the special stages too, thats a good choice and adds a 100% goal at the same time, looks promising :)

Very impresive AIZ2, I dare say it's even better than the previous version, really well done. About losing frames in HCZ1, what about if you redo HCZ2? the inputs is 1 year old, I'm sure you can improve it with your actual skills, and maybe implement the death tricks at the begining of HCZ2 (I never tried it back then because I did not know how), maybe this put the objects in a very favorable position (if you see my version I lost some time on these) And most importantly, you can do another level that is not AIZ2 :P - and maybe SSZ, DEZ1 / 2 if you want, just let me know

I guess they are amateur-youtuber TASers who are not interested in professional TASing, If not, I think they would have presented themselves in these topics some time ago.

About the goal list I have this in mind Starts from save-state Collect every possible single, monitor and giant rings Banning hyper sonic in the level (for avoid ring drain effect, keep the gameplay normal as possible, avoid the annoying super music, and not harm people susceptible to seizures) Uses Tails deaths to save time Aims for faster in-game time Abuses programing errors Uses all glitches Uses 2 players

Looks perfect friend, I see how you have naturally become accustomed to the Sonic physics :) You want to continue and finish the level?

Dear HappyLee: There are other games out there, you know :p
I don't see the problem in which some people specialize in a particular type of game, after all if there were no Mario, Metroid, Zelda, Sonic (and some other popular games) "TASers" there wouldn't be submission of this type of games because they study the physics and mechanics of the game in depth, resulting in a high quality movie (for example this movie, and the new Metroid one) :P

very clever improvement, but something is wrong with your input: [CZ] [BY] [AX] is pressed at the same time, it's a minor thing but makes the input see a little sloppy

You only need to do a hammer swing while amy is "interacting" with the ramp. However I got 1:15.17 with the boost http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/771175080/anypercent-speedrun.gmv I can't find a way to avoid the both 30 frames penalty here, without this the boost can be 71 frames faster I think

Also you may have noticed at frame 11045 that I still made Tails do the zip jump with ~4,096 speed. I can't seem to do it with ~8,192 speed without Tails despawning no matter what I try. Were you able to do that yourself?
Yeah, Tails despawns for some reason no matter why... but testing I found a posible time save with the rings under the water switch (see tails camera) http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1361923731/Evil_3D-TheYogWog-kaan55-S3K-ST-ringattack.gmv You're doing a good job, keep it up.

Interacting with the tunnel trigger with Sonic makes Tails despawns off-screen and I can't grab the rings too, maybe there are on some pixels under. About AIZ2 how's is going?

Thats a nice start, seeing the 2 rings below the water switch "I think" is possible with a precise angle we can grab them at once (I tried to grab the rings using the loop rings setup but for some reason Tails respawns when Sonic enter in the tunnel), the group of rings in the Knuckles screen I was missed those, check if you can grab them, If is possible I think is possible grab 2 at once to. But, if you have problems testing the angles you can do the testrun as you feel comfortable, I can try to improve the angles to try to save time later

I found a big time save with the loop rings using the tunnel, this will compensate a lot of time in the new AIZ 2 GMV: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/541136070/aiz2rings.gmv Save: http://www.mediafire.com/file/60987meuz7842sk/aiz2rings.gst

Evil can you see if you can grab the ring to the left in in Knuckles' 2nd loop? I'm having trouble getting the right trajectory for it and I'm beginning to doubt it's even possible to collect it.
Checking...

Thanks for the opinions guys, we will do AIZ2 with every possible rings, I need that Kaan do a testrun and see how will be the new AIZ 2 route, later I will try to optimize and check for improvements and try to save time. When the movie got finished I will do a Encode of Sonic POV and Tails POV so that people who are not familiar with the game can see how Tails picks up off-camera rings and help them understand the movie
