I debated it for a while, but I decided to vote yes. I don't think "there are improvements possible" is enough to reject a run if it's better than the existing published run (or if no run is published). I'm not really sure what the "official" or even the majority's opinion on this is, since it seems to change from time to time. In this case the majority's opinion is obviously that it's quite ok. I feel that having a run of overall good (not perfect) quality is better than having no (or a worse, if a published run exists) run at all.

Just wanted to say a quick hi and tell Guano he's doing a great job. Also wanted to tell JXQ to stop acting like a jerk with your personal attacks and whatnot, n00b. Take your stupid opinions elsewhere, no one cares, because they're stupid. Edit: And also JXQ I heard from a source I trust that you're a troll. Care to comment on this accusation?

I did the level I promised you jimsfriend, but during the 10 day period I thought I'd work more on this, pretty much nothing happened. I've almost completely lost interest in the run, but I still don't want to say I'm giving up, since the interest does return from time to time. It's just been rarer and rarer lately, this is so far down on my mental priority list right now. Also, the quality is severely lacking, which makes me even less motivated. I don't want to produce the shitty run I'm making now. I'm sorry everyone.

Since we're doing more of these: Q: What do you tell a woman with two black eyes? A: Nothing, she's already been told twice.

I tried finding this extremely funny wife joke I read a few days ago to post here, but I couldn't find it :( Anyway, I remember one of the other, slightly less funny ones: Q: Why don't women need watches? A: There's a clock on the stove. Edit: I actually found the joke I was thinking about: Q: How do you fix the dishwasher? A: Slap her.

I respect public apologies a lot. You're ok in my book until you screw up again. Edit: Not that I'm saying you will, just you know.

You've got it! I'll do FoI3a later tonight. Actually some good news, I'll probably be working a bit more on this than usual in the next 10 days or so.

Yeah, that's the video I made, running off my personal tracker. Sorry if the speed's a bit slow, since SOME people aren't staying connected once they're done.
That would be me. Sorry about that, I have a habit of deleting only-watch-once stuff right away though.

Almost everything TNSe writes I feel applies here in Sweden (about the army) too, and his post also echo my thoughts on the matter pretty well. Good post.

Awesome post. Bag, take notes. On topic, In Sweden, The year you turn 18 there's a selection process in which you may or may not get picked to serve. If you do get picked it's mandatory to serve, otherwise you're off the hook. I was very relieved when I was out of there 10 minutes after it started. Checking every "have you had any sort of psychological problems, now or earlier in life?" box sent me to the psychologist right away, and I just repeated that story to her :)

Yeah considering the games you've chosen those 9 runs is quite an accomplishment. To think it will soon be one year since we started Super Demo World, huh? Crazyness.

You know that's not a bad guess. I've actually only rated the last 4 movies I've watched (Lost in Translation, Kill Bill 2, A Clockwork Orange and Reservoir Dogs) because that's when I started listing movies I should watch in a text document, but if I rated A Phantom Menace it would get 4 or 5, not sure yet. Yep, a 4. You win the guessing game!

T, Saying stuff like that without any explanation or anything is so incredibly lame and moronic it leads me to believe you're an idiot. Are you?

Very well made. My favourite parts: - The awesome dance after the stone throwing guy. - The double jumps. They often looked like awesome walljumps a la mario 64. It looks like a really nice game too.

While I agree I don't Fabian enough, I'd say I also don't watch enough movies. As you may notice, lately I've been trying to fix that, but considering the amount of time I spend by the computer per day (I also work here), watching a movie per day should be no problem, and shouldn't interfer with any Fabianing I might want to do (although it hasn't been much lately, as I said).

Who, nitsuja? I've never seen him participate in our silly discussions, so it's not much of an issue.

To clarify: I didn't think he was bad in Reservoir Dogs either. Now about The Piano, about 4 years ago I watched it, and while the film wasn't anything special (I don't remember much of it), the soundtrack is fantastic. I learned to play the main theme on the piano, which at the time was the most difficult piece I could play, and proceeded to ooh and aah girls in high school with it for 2 years. You should listen to it though, it's really beautiful. I'd need to relearn it today though, it's been a while since I could play it well.

I watched Reservoir Dogs tonight. This is more what I'm talking about Quentin! More of the Pulp Fiction feel, before he went insane with the stupid stuff. Overall a good watch, I've rarely seen Harvey Keitel being bad in something. I've started ranking the movies I watch, 1-10. When I have some more, I'll post a list of the films and their rankings, and you can tell me where I'm wrong. Teaser: A Clockwork Orange only got a 3! Feel free to speculate on other films' rankings, or rank them yourself, etc!

Warp, I understand and share your concern. Still, I actually watched those doom runs and thought they were pretty good, and at the end of the day, entertainment is more important than speed. Am I right? JXQ, I fully understand your problem as I can relate to it myself. I would guess it's because if we're not over the top obvious about it being a joke, someone (perhaps even someone important, not just the pirate or whoever) might misunderstand it, and we wouldn't want that. AM I RIGHT? OR AM I? All the best, F

I watched A Clockwork Orange yesterday. I kinda expected it to be overhyped and boring, and I think I was partly right. Definitely overrated in my eyes, although the main guy (don't know his name) was very good. I also watched Kill Bill 2 a few days ago. Same there, overhype. In some ways this was even worse than vol. 1, but overall I think it was slightly better. Less of the stuff I think is stupid (boring violence and hour long sword fights) and more of anything else.

If you saw the 70 star run, some people actually thought it was a TAS because they couldn't believe it was a single segment speed run.
I also remember when the guy who did that stuff saw some of the real TAS stuff he was quite disheartened, and his run is one of the very best SDA has to offer.
I read that topic at SDA, and this is a real shame. I've never been concerned about speedruns vs TASes and that whole debate, but it really sucks that Jacob lost interest in speedruning after watching the TAS. I mean the 70 star run is ridiculous, I'd have loved to see more from him.
