Don't thank me, thank x2poet for the fantastic run. It's a pleasure to encode runs like these.

Ok. I'm doing it. And this movie gets a Yes vote from me. You seem to be pretty good at making 2-player TASes like this.
Well, I retract my former statement. Turns out youtube removed my 15 minute restriction. I'm going to post it for the sake of having it here, but if your HD comes out I'll take it off. Here's an HD link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1eL_FpvFLM

"So long"? Seven hours from submission to encode is damned fast. It's a pity I'm at work right now. Have to watch it later.
Would have been up three hours ago if it wasn't for my poor choice of encode settings. Huge upload to youtube.

Well, I've been encoding all day long. I have three HDs up so far, and another four or five on the way before the day ends. Edit: And a couple SDs from archive.org for ones that didn't/don't have them.

Though almost certainly a perfect run, I'm voting no because it really isn't entertaining. Great work, but also uninteresting.

Ah sweet, cutscene desynch! Yeah, I didn't make the run, and I'm not sure just how much I've contributed to it, but I can safely say that I'm proud to have at least gotten the ball rolling. Glitched runs like this are my favorite. It skips over large, significant portions of the game, but without skipping over all the interesting parts. That, and the setup is really contrived and convoluted, so it's not like you can start the game, walk to the ending, and call it a day. This gets the Ferret's Stamp of Approval. (I need a graphic for a stamp of approval...)
Ok then.

Mirroring several people, I thought the majority of it was boring, but I'm not one to argue with results. A yes from me.

Diablo doesn't have ability cooldowns, Dialo 1 and 2 both use a straight mana system. I didn't know that about streets of rage 3 and I am happy to hear that. Of course in my article I will explain in detail what an ability cooldown is but if anyone doesn't know here: After using an ability you are limited from using it again for a set amount of time. But it costs you nothing else otherwise. So in mass effect for example you can use the ability "push" (just like the jedi's force push) once every 6 seconds or so without fail. The time can vary based on different factors to allow for a fair amount of design space.
You're right, I don't know what I was thinking.

I have to wonder what the first game to implement cooldowns that indicated when the ability was ready again. The first I can think of is Diablo, but I'm sure something before that had it. Any ideas?
