So, while I slept last night, I had a dream. In the dream, I was at a mall (shopping malls have been a recurring setting in my dreams lately for some reason). Above one of the entrances was a long banner. The banner had a closeup of the upper portion of Rarity's stock pose. She was telekinetically holding a book in front of her face. So either it was an ad for a bookstore, or simpy a banner advocating the joys of reading. Above her was written the phrase... "I LIKE TO READ ABOUT BOYS WHO BUCK" So... yeah. Last night my subconcious used ponies to conjure up a rude pun. I need help.

In recent news, the furry community just voted My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic for "Best Dramatic Series". Because, as we all know, the number one thing the show is known for is heart rending, gut wrenching drama. In other news, behold this desecration of a Nazi rifle.

I'm sure it's been discussed and tried already, but is it at all possible to pick up Shades' weapon without Shades? If the weapon switching trick works with any weapon, I'd think that would save loads of time since you wouldn't have to get Gil's.

I'm just gonna dump this here. Those of you unfamiliar with the context behind this image may find trying to decipher it to be an interesting exercise. No cheating! http://i.imgur.com/6js5x3a.jpg

Some people like MlP for the show. Some like it because of the fandom. Others like it because it makes them bank. I have nothing to say about this but....at least he's being honest? =/

Q: Isn’t this against the contest rules? A: No, actually! Asking for votes is perfectly within the contest guidelines, and even encouraged (I asked). I’ve never been a fan of winners being decided by popular vote, since it always tends to favor the person with the largest following – a position I’ve never been in until now. I’m thinking if we can utterly steamroll this contest and its followup, we might inspire WLF to change their rules regarding this. Or if not, I’ll get a f***ton of money and become everything I ever hated. I’m okay with either outcome really.
From what I got out of it, he seems to want to get the rules changed by being so flagrantly unethical. His whole money-grubbing attitude is hard to take seriously in that light. Edit: Relevant image

First, I want to say that I think what this guy is doing is a really good idea. A repository of video game endings, and the bosses right before them, would be a good repository to have, even if it's a little spoilery by nature. Problem is that he's going about it all wrong. First off, there's the plagiarism issue. There's little point is discussing how wrong that is. Second, and more interesting/humorous to me, is that he seems to be approaching it with the attitude of your average Chinese bootlegger; that is to say, he's not really researching what he's doing and just slapping things together. For instance, he doesn't care that: Other examples of not doing proper research: It's to the point that I'm genuinely shocked that Link is all grown up here. Overall, I do believe he legitimately wants to provide a good service, but he's cheating to do so. And he's not doing a very good job of it.

My Fluttershy video recently had a surge of over a hundred views, most of which were from mobile devices. The rest were from a related video of humanized ponies, dedicated to a dead guy. Don't know how to take that.

I don't see anything wrong in dedicating space for the thing that a person is most well known and famous for. If you are reading the article about, let's say, Isaac Newton, would you be more interested in knowing what he accomplished as a physicist, or what he ate for breakfast on february 5th?
Maybe we'd be interested in his eating habits if he became famous for his work on nutrition instead of his advances in mathematics and physics. As such, what's wrong with a children's show known for having a large adult male audience being described on such terms in the wikipedia article? And why am I participating in this nonsense?

It's an effect described as Write What You Know. If most of the people writing it are bronies, then the part that gets the most attention is about bronies. For another example, see the Jack Thompson article, and notice how the video game section is the most expansive, and the whole article is drenched in thinly veiled, neutral sounding insults.

Suddenly I'm curious to see ponies drawn by, ya know, the show's actual target demographic. Young children, if you can't guess. Can anyone help?

And you should look at my response to your original post. If you're looking for examples of how not to write, looking through fan fictions sites is basically cheating. Plus, the grammar in the snippet of the review you gave us is also terrible. Punctuation!

I'm a little upset seeing this. A few years ago, I tried this out myself - except I had him punching only every 16 frames. Not sure how high the punch count was. Whatever it was, the little guy was punching for about three hours and nothing came of it. So, congratulations.

They have to cut the episode to make time for that stuff at the end? Sheesh. How about just not doing that stuff at the end instead?
My understanding is that having that silly little clip at the end is sort of required in Japanese entertainment.

(my guess is that some people, like me, find the use of easy suicide to be sketchy and are trying to find a rules loophole to ban it instead of saying that stylistically it's just bad)

Having grown up during the nineties, I was used to seeing us westerners go crazy for anything Japanese. It's always odd seeing the Japanese reciprocate, especially with this.

My only issue with this is that it seems rather sketchy to use what appears to be a debug feature that was accidentally left in. Merely a stylistic concern.

I think the intended message is that you shouldn't let labels dictate who you are or what you do. Evidenced by how the marks, which ordinarily indicate what a person is good at, weren't working and that their real callings in life laid where they originally were. This unfortunately kinda messes with the established lore and mythos of the series concerning said marks, and we all know how much nerds worship those two things.
