I've made a Albus NG+ testrun that beats the game in just about 12 minutes. Since it's just a testrun there's a few minor mistakes and Action Replay was used, but only to get to lvl 255 everything else was legit (like getting max HP/MP ups) Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJb0GGFquBk Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DTXlUOuq7M Sorry about bad quality I'm not very good at encoding.

I just discovered a new glitch with which I was able to shave 40 frames on the first stage, probably a lot more if fully optimized. Here's a video explaining it in detail. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0

How about 2 movies? Since Jill is the fastest one to beat the game with, her run should get the bad ending and aim for fastest time. And since Chris is the slower one, his run should aim for best ending.

So a best ending run would be more enjoyable? Since all the cutscenes are skipped, it would just mean more running around. All you do is pick up 3 more items (and maybe have to use storage to make room for them, haven't checked) using them in different locations, and then go to Chris. Best ending also means you have to do another box pushing puzzle. If you think it would be more enjoyable, I'd be willing to do best ending run (with improved plant fight. And tyrant too, if possible) Slowking, the door is electronicaly locked and you have to beat tyrant before you can open it.

"Does it take realy "that" long to save chris/barry ? And your sure you dont have any "good" gun on your way to tyran ?" I haven't checked, but I would guess saving both ads at least 2 minutes to the run. Is it really worth it just to get a beter ending? I thought the goal was to beat the games as fast as possible. Getting a better gun takes about 30 seconds, plus you would have to use storage once to make room so you can pick up ammo.

Oh wow, that submission text is horrible written. Maybe I should have slept before submitting and not after TASing the whole day. It's a lot faster to dodge the enemies than it is to kill them, so a knife run is the fastest way. Only thing that would be faster with guns is the boss fights, but the time spent getting guns doesn't make up for the time saved at the bosses. And another thing that makes knife run faster is that you won't have to use storage, so you save a few seconds there. "If possible, could you save that first-aid spray you used near the beginning for here when you're in Danger status? I think you move slightly slower while in Danger." You move the same speed when hurt, plus you get a nice blinking upper screen. The reason I used the first-aid spray when putting in the battery is because you need to get rid of 1 item to have room for the second doom book. So I could either spend 4 frames using a spray or spend seconds putting the ahndgun/acid rounds in the storage. "When pushing the statue off the boulder room, you stop pushing for a second, run into it for a second, then push again a little bit. Why?" If I just kept pushing the statue would be too far away and I would have to crank again. "Why did you run all the way around on the giant spider? The acid it spits helps damage the wall, and you may be able to dodge and cut faster than making it glitch and just cutting at the wall. Also, you manually turned to cut the web. A 180-degree turn then a small right turn would be faster." The spider shoots web faster than you can knife and dodge. When pulling out the knife, your character automaticly turns to the closest enemy and 180 degree turning isn't possible when wielding knife. "The tyrant fight doesn't look good, to me. You say you needed to swing and miss with the knife to avoid being hit, but then you get hit later in the fight. Also, you miss a second swing later in the fight." Tyrant is a bit retarded at times. If I would have let him hit me instead of swing he would have kept attacking while when I let him hit me later on, he acts weird so I can attack him 2 times and then 3 times. And the second swing would have missed no matter what since he attacks faster than you get hit him 2 times when standing in front of him. I just decided to swing anyways becaue, uh, I don't know. About the corner turning, hitting a wall makes you loose frames. Since the controls are really slow when turning the only time it's worth hitting corners is when there is something right after it like a door you need to go through or an enemy you need to dodge but can't when not touching a corner and would instead have to stop and turn a little.

I made a quick calculation, and apparently there is going to be at least 55 minutes of end credits total. I don't know about you, but to me that sounds like a little to much for a serious TAS. It's better if I edit out the credit part and upload it all to Youtube instead. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucdqm1akSQY I kept the end credit in, just to show you how long it really is. It's almost 5 minutes and gets rather boring, especially if you have to watch it 12 times. Sorry about the bad quality, I don't have any good video editing programs.

Golden Sun: the Lost Age. When walking from one room to another in that giant tree, I somehow ended up inside a wall about half a screen below the door. I have no idea how it happened or if it's possible to use it to your advantage in other places.

I started working on a TAS of this game. So far the first world is done exept for the stupid credit mini-game. I'm not too sure if this is a good game to TAS. Seems like only half of it will be actual gameplay. And having to see the same 2 minute long mini-game after every world is probably gonna be very boring for the viewer. http://www.speedyshare.com/765651289.html But the later stages might make up for it. What do you guys think?

A few people have tried, but no one seem to finish TASing it. what's up with that? This game deserves better! I haven't really worked out a path yet, since I don't know if the interest for the game is still alive here. I was thinking about making it a no damage run thru the whole game, but some crazy (st)airwalk glitch kinda messed it up. Now I'm not sure if I should go for damageless or take a few hits just to get thru faster.
